"a bit older of a Motel, but I was very impressed"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This was a bit older of a Motel, but I was very impressed how clean it was.I was very happy with the service people. Very friendly and helpful. I missed my plane and they were very good to me and I stayed there one more night. The price is in relationship with the kind of motel this and i was pleased. They deserve their / your business. Their breakfast is only muffins and orange juice.

With about 40,000 students, the University of Washington is the area’s lifeblood. The campus includes a world-class medical center, the Burke Museum, and Henry Art Gallery. UW’s main square offers a clear view of Mount Rainier. West of UW, a Lenin statue watches over Fremont, which bills itself as “The Center of the Universe.” Fremont’s low-rise shops and cafés resemble Berkeley and Old New York.

"Beautiful Place"
I loved the location!! Thank You!! The man checking us in late at night was very nice and informative.
"beautiful scenery"
the staff were amazingly helpful. i was a little thrown on the third night when the night staff member was not in the office as i did not realize it was an on call situation as he was kind enough to be available to check me in at midnight. the only real issue with this hotel is that it is difficult getting a cab ride to and from there as most of the […] cab drivers are unfamiliar with it. however it is walking distance from university village and is IN a nature park. It was overall an amazing experience. Read more

"talaris conference center"
The rooms in the outbuildings are very small. Just really room for a queen size bed and desk and tv. WE moved to the lodge which was a much more comfortable size room The staff was very helpful. The grounds are beautiful. The bed was a little hard!

"Talaris location close"
The location of the Talaris Confrence Ctr is the only positive review I can give about the hotel. It was near restaurnats and public transportation was accesible. On another note: this location should not be classified as a hotel. The rooms are in poor and out dated condition. The picture used in the internet was NOT the actual room we were placed in, […] the intial night of our stay. The room was outdated and in poor condition, it most resembled a MOTEL in the middle of no where. Overall my expirence was a dissapointment. Read more
"Pre-StP"
I found this hotel on Hotels.com and did not really know where it was located, relative to the start of the Seattle-to-Portland bike ride. It was perfectly located. The hotel is not new, but it is well-cared for. The grounds are really beautiful. The staff was very accommodating with our visit - held our bike boxes for a few days, assisted us with […] a breakfast arrangement, even though we wanted breakfast well ahead of their normal situation. "Close to UW Medical Center"
Reasonably priced for the location. Comfortable, clean and VERY quiet. Would definitely stay here again.
"snobby service"
nice hotel in nice area, no elevator. maid delivered breakfast at 6:15 am but was not supposed to start service until 7 am, tried to get a muffin for son who has to go to hospital for work at 6:30 and was told snappily that was a nono. did not leave a tip.
"Talaris"
Room and location were great, very quiet. The breakfast was a disaster though, my daughter had to play tennis at 7:30 am and breakfast was supposed to be at 7:00 am. No breakfast was set up by 7:05 and we had to leave. Staff was unsure of breakfast time, one said it was served at 7:00, another said 7:30, another said 8:00. Would stay there again though […] just because the rooms are quiet and roomy. Read more
"Fantastic"
Our stay in this hotel was due to, unfortunately, having to go to the Seattle Children's Hospital. The hotel staff immediately made our stay as comfortable as possible when we told them our reason for coming to Seattle. It is a little dated, but very clean and extremely convenient in regards to location. We walked to the hospital and there are also […] food places within walking distance, although we did not go to them. This place has received my highest recommendation and I have already told other parents who visit Children's Hospital about it. Read more
"Great place to stay!"
This was a great place to stay. Not a brand new property but nice and comfortable. The beds were super comfortable, the breakfast was simple but just right, the staff was very friendly and helpfull, and the grounds were nice to walk on. It is quiet there despite the busy area and we were able to walk to a very nice restaurant a couple of blocks away. […] Also, it sits just behind the Children's Hospital which was convenient. "Talaris Conference Center Seattle"
When I stay somewhere for one night my primary concern is a good sleep. The bed was extremely comfortable, I could open the window for fresh air and the location is so quiet that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else in Seattle to top Talaris. Highly recommend this property, no matter how old the building may be.
