SIMMONS MOTEL AND SUITES - Hershey

Quaint older motel that was in the perfect location for our needs. The room was clean, and the price was right. Will definitely be staying at the Simmons again.

After my husband and I turned out the light I noted the sound of something running intermittently. I thought it was just someone showering above but the sound did not cease and wound up keeping me awake for two hours. I called to the front desk to ask it be checked. After waiting 15 minutes I called back and the woman said the toilet was in the room […] of another guest. She then offered me another room. Family owned/operated; Dated, but clean, well maintained, friendly staff and inexpensive.

my husband and I had a very unpleasant idea about this hotel. the man was not there and the room we booked looked very dated!!! we booked a suite but I did not want to stay in there for a minute.

We found this motel most accomodating as there were 2 adults and 3 children. The small appartment we had included 2 bedrooms, living room and a full size kitchen. Our room was separate from the main building (just across the parking lot). Queen bed was comfortable; large TV; small table & 2 chairs; good sized bathroom with small refrigerator & microwave. It's not the Hilton, but everything was clean; people were friendly & accomodating. We stayed in Hershey Park all day & used room for sleep & showers which was […] just fine. Could use an upgrade. Interior of some rooms dated, but clean.

I RENTED ONE OF THE APARTMENT FROM SIMMINS AND IT WAS GREAT WITH A FULL KITCHEN. HAD TO ASK FOR POTS AND PANS AND DIDNT HAVE ANY UTINSELS, WE ALSO HAD TO ASK FOR NEW OTWELS AND FOR THE ROOM TO BE CLEANED WHICH I THOUGHT WAS BIZARRE BUT OTHER THAN THAT WILL DEF RECCOMEND THIS......

I booked a room at the Simmons motel for 1 night after my camping plans got rained out and was amazed at how easily i could get a great room and such a low price so last minute. the hotel is very close to all the hershey attractions and was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again

Very comfortable and close to the park

It is a Motel and the rate was cheap so...........The "Suite" was a basement room. The bunkbeds were so unstable that i wouldn't let my kids sleep in them!!! It was miles away from the front gate at Hershey Park. That being said on the good side it was really clean and big and a great price. The hotel claims to be in walking distance to hershey park. It is very close but I wouldn't try walking it if you plan on walking all day in the park. There were a bunch of little things that didn't work or they "ran out of" but never fixed them while we were there. Fro instance, when I arrived, the printer didn't have any ink so they had me sign a […] barely visible sheet of paper. I also didn't like the plastic mattress pads. I know they prevent wear and stains on the mattress but they aren't so comfortable for sleeping. There is complimentary coffee in the lobby but they had no milk or creamer. They told my husband they ran out but 2 hours later when I poured myself a cup there was still no creamer. There was a convenient store within actual walking distance and even if a gallon of milk costs double the regular price, it would be worth it to satisfy all their guests. The room was also a bit expensive compared to other similar accommodations. The pool was an above the ground oval, nicely kept but not really what I expect on vacation. I would go back because overall it was a nice place run by nice people I just thought it should have been half the price that I paid. Read more

The place was very quaint in the heart of Hershey. Walking distance to the main attraction - hershey park. Place is a step back in time but it is well maintained, people were very friendly and the place was clean and very well kept.
