"Perfect Stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!

Price at the restaurant was high ei $16.00 for glass of house wine. Gym under reno and card for other facility didn't work

"Perfection in Old Montreal"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.

"Cozy, Cute, and Close to Everything"
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at University Bed and Breakfast. Would definitely go back...hopefully sooner rather than later. The only negative I have about our experience was that the walls are fairly thin, and if you happen to have noisy neighbors, it can be a bit irritating. But, I still give B&B credit because the owner came to our neighbors door […] and told them they had to be quieter without us saying anything. At first I wasn't sure about having a room that shared a bathroom with 4 other rooms. But it wasn't a problem at all. The bathroom was always clean, and I never had to wait to use it. Also, there is another bathroom just one floor below. Wonderful place! Can't wait to go back Read more
Very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms with much character though electric heat was very drying.
"Charming Bed & Breakfast"
I greatly enjoyed staying in this bed & breakfast. It was sweet and charming and very personable - quite different from those cookie-cutter chain hotels that are everywhere. We were right in the middle of the "college area" of Montreal, about a half hour walk to Old Montreal. I was disappointed that there wasn't any hot food for breakfast though they […] did offer: cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, heated croissants, hot tea, hot chocolate, coffee, OJ, and one or two other things that I am probably forgetting. Despite that, I would definitely stay here again. Read more
"University B&B"
Lovely location, room & staff. Quiet location. Since my stay was for New Year's Eve, it would have been nice if the breakfast would have had an extended time ... as it was naturally a very late night to bed. :)
"University B& B, Montreal. Great loacation."
Stayed 3 nights in July. my room was a shared bath, but was not a big issue for me. The room was neat and clean with basic furniture. Bed, a desk with two chairs. Armore, iron, radio / ipod deck, and alarm clock. Only complain is that a/c did not work. the staff apologized to me but did not get fixed enter stay. They lend me a tiny table fan, though. […] It was super hot on the second night and couldn't sleep too well. The location was great. I could walk (if you don't have that heavy suitscase with you) to McGill metro stop or Sherbrook stop. there's bus stop on the corner of Prince Arthur and du Park ave. which is 5 min walk. The neighborhood had lots of restaurants, supermarket and 24 hour open cafe. Read more
