The staff, other than the initial check in person, were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well kept. The breakfast was very good, but too crowded. The hot tub was very warm, but the jets were very weak. The pool was FREEZING! Far too cold for an indoor pool. The beds were very comfortable.
"Excellent service"
We stayed one night in this hotel and were impressed by the friendliness of the reception staff. When we asked that our room be cleaned, they promptly change us to another room since no cleaning staff was available at that time. The location is close to main shopping area and a main road, very convenient and the scenery is nice too. We will stay there […] again when we visit upstate. Read more

"Hotel Stay"
We were very satisfied with the hotel stay from 6/10-12/2011. The only thing I would critique is the fact that one could not cancel without penalty as most hotels allow one to be able to do that within a reasonable time frame. We were also billed on our card before the actual stay occurred which was rather strange to me. We were impressed with the […] breakfast being included. "best in the north country"
Love, love this place! there are very few options in this area, and the mom and pop motels just can't measure up to the standard we expect. Stayed here when it was brand new and loved it. came back this spring and still loved it. Booked a weekend in 2012 for my daughter's graduation. The only suggestion I would make is to work on a breakfast improvement. […] There really is no place to eat out for breakfast, and so a better one available at the hotel would be appreciated. "Holiday Inn Express in Malone NY, easy to find"
Clean, well maintained room with nice bathroom. Good complimentary breakfast. Good on-site amenities. Only complaints: Very plush, over sized pillows not well suited for sleeping and laundry room washer did not spin dry sweat shirt, nor did dryer get it dry even after hand wringing. "Nice Hotel"
I would recommend this to anyone. New hotel as of July, 2010. Great price, very clean, good rooms and was located in nice location with a restaurant right in front of the hotel. If you are planning to visit Clarkson University, I would recommend it even though it's 30 miles east of the campus.

"Holiday Inn Express- Malone"
We absolutely loved our stay- very clean, comfortable stay. Then after returning home we found that we'd been charged for the room twice- once upon booking online, and a second time upon check-in. Not cool!

"Week-end getaway"
Loved this hotel and we'll be back. Great breakfast, good restaurant nearby, a little off the beaten track (away from town) but with easy access. Enjoyed the brand new pool and hot tub. Franklin County Fair was on which was a bonus! This is our second Holiday Inn Express - love the white comforters!
