Toshi Center Hotel - Tokyo

I've stayed here three different times and have always been very pleased. This place cannot be beat - it offers outstanding value. It is located in a clean, safe, pleasant neighborhood in central Tokyo. The only drawback is that it is a bit of a walk to the JR Yotsuya station, but that's ok and I'm willing to take to that walk. The staff are very pleasant […] and professional (and speak some English). The rooms are bright, clean, well furnished and many have pretty decent views of Tokyo. During my most recent stay, I booked a single room and unfortunately non-smoking was not a available, but I booked it anyway knowing that the smoking rooms really don't smell of smoke too badly at all. Upon arriving at the hotel and asking if they had any non-smoking, they gave me a double room at no extra charge which was very nice of them. The room was great - spacious, very clean as always and the view was very good (and again, the smell of smoke was minimal). All rooms are above the 13th floor so offer a good view. The lower floors of the hotel has convention meeting rooms, restaurants and government offices. The hotel is only ten years old so everything is modern. Room size is typical of a business hotel. The neighborhood is quiet with several inexpensive restaurants and small markets. Two luxury hotels […] are a block or two away. Five subway stations are within a five minute walk so getting around Tokyo is very easy from this location. It is simple to get to the hotel from Narita airport. Take the Keisei line (Skyliner or regular line), transfer at Ueno to the Ginza subway line and exit at Akasaka-mitsuke station. Read more

I had a very enjoyable stay at Toshi Center Hotel. I booked a triple bed smoking room only because it was cheaper than a non-smoking room. The room was on the 17th floor at the end of the hall, and the smoke inside the room was only detectable a few times throughout my 6 day stay. The room itself was cozy but very clean, neat and suitable for 3 adults. […] The beds are pretty hard but it didn't bother me. Robes and slippers were provided, as were razors, combs, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Also there was a trouser press, a clothesline in the bathroom and a bottle of green tea air/fabric freshener. Other amenities in the room included a fridge, tea pot with lots of tea but no coffee, small safe and LAN internet. TV is all in Japanese unless you buy a card to watch other channels. The washer/dryer was located on our floor (200 yen each load plus 50 yen for detergent). Wifi at the lobby is adequate. Right across is the convenience store Family Mart (aka "cheap" breakfast every day). The Chinese restaurant right next to the Family Mart was delicious (FYI cash and AMEX only) but they don't speak much English. Hotel location is central with access to several Metro lines, and a few stops from Tokyo Station. From Narita Airport I took the Narita Express to Tokyo Station and then the M line to Akasaka-Mitsuke station, and then walked (~10 minutes). I recommend if you do the same to arrive during the day, because it was very difficult to locate the hotel at night. Read more

Room and services were great, a very nice hotel with average size rooms for a business hotel. My only concern was that the closest transit stations are not central enough to be direct routes. One must transfer a couple times in order to get to the hotel or hire a cab.

If you have business in Tokyo, its perfect, even though the free, in-room, internet service is very slow. The hotel hosts countless conventions. (Not for tourists.) In the lobby, the "Floor manager's" desk was very helpfull in finding us a larger taxi van for our baggage. The hotel was clean and in a good location. The staff was friendly and could communicate in English. The room was tiny (I compare it to the size of a cabin on a cruise ship) but I suppose that is part of life in Tokyo. Had I been there a few more days I may have gone crazy in the really small space.

A great smaller hotel, close to Imperal palace and gardens, and nice low keyed surrounding neighborhood - not as busy or difficult to get around as some parts of Tokyo. Within walking distance of Tokyo station. Staff was very helpful, extremely polite, and went out of their way to welcome you, and ensure your comfort. A great find -highly recommend

Although there is a definate business vibe from this hotel, all the staff were pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were a reasonable size and exceptionally clean and tidy. There a quite a few subway lines near by which makes it easy to get around Tokyo.

Enjoyed the stay with easy proximity to metro. We are happy to walk distances and found walking to some of the surrounding areas easy. Quiet but safe area of Tokyo, pretty much in the middle of the metro map which is convenient. Close to parks, nice strolls. Though, not much shopping or night life close - more of a business man hotel but thanks to easy access to all parts of Tokyo it worked out fine. My recommendations!

A gem of a hotel ,we were a family of 5 ,myself, my wife and 3 young children 11,10,and 8 plus my mother in law and booked 2 triple rooms . The rooms were a good size for Tokyo ,the beds were comfortable the rooms and servicing were faultless .The bathrooms included a good sized bath and were spotless. The bonus was that the non smoking rooms were located […] on the 21st and 22nd floor and had great views of the city.The buffet breakfast was very reasonable (1400 yen ) and extensive ,however there were a number of good eateries close by including a couple of great cafes for coffee .The hotel was in a lovely quiet tree lined street in an area surounded by embassies and consulates with a metro station (Nagatacho) with connections to 4 metro lines only150 metres away.It is in walking distance of the Imperial Palace(500m) and Tokyo Tower (perhaps 2 km ) and only 2 stops from Shibuya . １人で慣れない場所への旅行だったので、まず宿泊するホテルが不安でした(^o^;)環境は？ホテルの外観は？ 設備は？お部屋は？サービスは？etc… １人だと、どんどん不安は膨らんでたんですが… 実際に行ってみたら全て吹っ飛んでしまいました(^o^) 東京都心とは思えない静かな環境、オシャレなホテルで高層階の部屋からの眺めの素晴らしさは、夜寝るのが惜しいくらい… そして、入口の係の方の温かい笑顔で 迎えられ、今までの緊張した心がほぐれ我が家に帰ったような安心感が 得られました(⌒‐⌒) ライブやショッピングなどで東京へ出掛ける事が増えて来た私には、強い 味方が出来ました(^o^)v 何処に泊まったら良いのか迷っている方に是非お薦めしたいホテルです！

家族3人でしたので、最上階の和室に宿泊しました。部屋の窓からスカイツリーが良く見えました。残念だったところは、３名で予約したのに、部屋には布団が２組しか敷かれておらず、タオルも２人分しか準備してありませんでした。タオルは追加で持ってきてもらいましたが、部屋の中に人が入るのがいやだったので布団は自分たちで敷きました。あとは、ﾄﾞﾗｲﾔｰのパワーがなさすぎ。家から持っていけば良かったです。それ以外はほぼ満足でした。
