Second stay in this place. Only negative is the breakfast...very few options for the 4.90 Euro per person cost. Apart from that, I totally recomend this place, the location is great and staff very nice and helpful.

The hotel itself was nice, quiet and clean. We were able to watch the Olympics on TV, and the internet worked (the connection wasn't strong enough for wifi calling though). Conveniently, the staff we talked to spoke English, and we had no problems checking in or out. We didn't get the breakfast, so we cannot comment on it. The night we got there, we wanted to go out to a cafe to eat around 8pm (during the summer, so it was still light out). By this time, all of the surrounding stores and restaurants (save a few convenience stores) were closed, there was graffiti on essentially every door, and many suspicious people stared at us. A man outside the hotel yelled at us when we didn't give him change. We felt so uncomfortable that we bought some snacks at a convenience store and hurried back to the hotel. Once you figure out the extremely complex and merciless parking garage/elevator system (and, most importantly, how to extricate your car from it, it is actually a decent hotel. There's really nothing there. It's sketch. I don't even know why I went there. The hotel was clean, and I guess it's was acceptable. It was inexpensive and my gps found it no problem. And it had a secure garage, which was nice especially in that... city. The hotel was fine, the city was crap.

This was the perfect place for a long girls' weekend in Marseille. As a note to anyone traveling to Marseille for the first time, you can absolutely get here via public transportation. There's an airport shuttle in to town, then the metro will get you within a five minute walk. An online map printed off and friendly locals on the street will get you […] the rest of the way. The hotel was clean and had extremely comfortable beds, with mirrors, electrical outlets, and closet space for three girls to get ready every morning. The air conditioning kept the room livable in the warmer weather, although it never seemed strong enough to get the room truly cold feeling. Still, much better than no AC at all. The location is approximately a ten-minute walk from the main harbor/port area, and had tons of shopping and restaurants all around. As three girls traveling alone, safety was a big concern for us. This location felt very safe, and we never worried about walking out later at night. We didn't spend much time hanging out in the room itself except to sleep, but in the little time we did spend there, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and were happy to hold our bags for us after we checked out. Cute little patio downstairs to have breakfast on, and vending machines in the hotel for any late night bottled water cravings. Even in the short time we were there, they changed out our bedding every other day, and replaced the towels daily. Great place, great price, great experience. Read more

The hotel is nice, clean and staffed with compitent multi-lingual employees. The hotel is really hard to find on your own, so either get a taxi the first time or print a super-detailed map of the streets (and even then you'll have trouble).

Hotel was hard to find. On a street that was not on the map. No diretions were provided. Close to a metro station and close walk to the waterfront (which was about the only thing to really see) so that was nice for getting around and back to the train station. Really nice hotel especially for the price.

This is a great place for those on a budget, with high standard of clenliness and good size rooms. The food is more than adequate and the staff are generally friendly and helpfull. The only down side is the hotel's location, squeezed into a small corner of a rather run-down looking area. Nothing like premier class! The room was clean, but this was the only plus. It was very dated with lots of orange and red in the tasteless decor. However staff did spray insecticide outside the room and so were trying to tackle issues raised by others regarding bugs. On arrival we were shouted at and physically man-handled by a car park attendant at […] the hotel. As this man had no ID and was very scruffy we feared we were being robbed! The receptionist told us it was for our own good! The room was hot and the air con did not work properly; it was too small to have any effect anyway. There were a lack of facilities in the room: no hair dryer, not even one English channel on the TV, no fly screens, one tiny ineffective window etc. There was only one hair dryer in reception for the whole hotel to borrow so I did not get to use this in 2 days; in spite of being promised I was next on the list. The hotel was in a very busy and less than salubrious area of town, with gangs/ groups sitting out on the streets. We did not feel safe walking back at night. Marseille has lots of building works and road works around the hotel and harbour. I would not stay here again. Read more

Close to a metro. Vieux port within walking distance. If u want a very basic room go for it. The wifi works. there is a bed, ensuite, tv. Optional breakfast for 4.80€ was convenient and worthwhile. We didnt use the car park but others found it convenient. The egvening concierge was very friendly and helpful. He offered good advice.

Room was clean. Bed was good size but hard. One small desk in the room so not much room if the woman in your life wants to sit and have her things around her. The parking was an extra cost which was fine by me but you had to take a car lift underground and I had about a centimeter either side to get in and ramps to deal with too. We stayed in the hotel for the first three days of October and there was no a/c in the rooms. With temperatures of 28C in the daytime the rooms became uncomfortably warm in the evening. This was very average accommodation. The reception desk were pleasant and helpfully and the breakfast is good value for money. The room was basic with a couple of minor things like a large black mark on the floor, a wonky toilet seat and an annoying red light by the bed which stayed on even with the light off. We did get upgraded from twin to double […] but it was a disabled accommodation room so it was a bit larger than usual and the shower would only go up so far which was a bit of a pain. The sheets towels were changed everyday however and the street noise was not a problem. From the hotel it is a fair walk down to the old port around 10 min by depressing boulevards and gridlocked traffiic, being careful of the dog mess on the sidewalks and trying not to breathe too hard the stench of the citys waste problems. The hotel receptionist spoke very good English and was expecting us on arrival. The staff were friendly and knowledgable about the area, including taxi fares and walking routes / distances. The shops were within a few minutes walk and the Vieux Port approx 10 minutes walk. A taxi from the airport cost €60. On the return journey we got the Metro from the port that cost just €1.50 for a couple of stops to the main train station where we got a train to the airport for €4.40. Super Hotel für einen Städtetrip! Saubere und große Zimmer. War natürlich nicht luxuriös aber hat ja auch nur zwei sterne und dafür war es super! Man hatte immer guten WLAN Empfang. Jeden Tag wurde das bett gemacht und die Handtücher ausgewechselt. Es gab leider nur zwei föhne im Hotel die man sich an der Rezeption ausleihen konnte, bei uns in der vorsaison […] kein Problem.
