This was a delightful B&B. The proprietors are former British pub owners. They keep a spit-spot place and make really excellent breakfasts. They are... also knowledgeable about the surrounding Coromandel Peninsula. Our only issue was that Hotels.com gathered information from Expedia and allowed us to book a room for three people. This facility is definitely set up with couples in mind. They are not set up for 3. by a Hotels.com guest on 12/15/11

We stayed in the Aynsome Room at Cotswold Cottage in early October, 2012. Accommodation was very good, hosts were excellent. Local tourist advice, travelling times etc were readily available. We chose to have dinner included in our package as we knew we would be arriving late in the afternoon - this was first class.

Excellent location, very quiet but near to amenities. Fantastic views all round. Owners are attentive and willing to help with anything, including suggestions for days out and providing spades for digging holes on Hot Water Beach.

When we booked we were not informed this was a B&B. At no stage was B&B mentioned. We were under the assumption that hotels.com only dealt with hotels and motels.When we explained this to the owners they were very uncooperative and said they would be charging us regardless. Also, it was way out of town and you were not allowed to book in before 3.30 […] pm. Very disappointing. We stayed in over 12 hotels/motels and we never experienced such rude behaviour. Read more

Unfortunately we arrived quite late, and only stayed one night. We wished we could have stayed longer. Cotswold Cottage is well located-charming, quiet, and with wonderful views. Our bed was enormous, and oh so comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful, with a wide range of food available to choose from. It was lovely chatting over breakfast with other guests […] who were staying. Jacqui and Graham were excellent hosts-they were very friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to eat, and what to see and do in the area. Read more

Malgré un accueil sympathique et convivial, des prestations irréprochables, j’ai trouvé le prix de ce B&B bien élevé pour une petite chambre certes parfaitement tenue et une situation peu avantageuse, les principaux sites touristiques sont à une bonne heure de route. A conseiller aux personnes qui ne logent qu’en B&B !
