I came here for the spa and it is very nice. I was kicked out by another nosy guest for not wearing a bathing cap. In Taiwan and much of Asia, bathing suit means bathing cap too, a fact of which I was unaware. Otherwise, it was a very nice experience.

This hotel went above and beyond at every opportunity. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. The only downside would be the location. It is not located in an area suited for walking around, but everything else makes it worth it. The hotel rooms are huge. In fact, it's a bit comical because the furniture can't even fill the rooms. I'll only give one example because I wouldn't want anybody to go in there expecting certain things that should only be received out of generosity, not obligation. I had an undershirt with a hole in it. It had been there for quite a while and it wasn't a big deal... just an undershirt. Only a 15 minute taxi ride (NT$290 = US$10) from the airport. The hotel restaurant was good, great service and relatively inexpensive (dinner was approx US$9). The hotel grounds were very nice (a meditation garden, koi pond, and many orchids). I booked the hotel to catch early morning flight out of TPE. Unfortunately, it falls short on that convenience, the shuttle to the airport does not even start before 9:30AM, taxi is about 15 minute ride through a rundown neighborhood. In retrospect, it is probably better to spend extra 20 dollars and go to Novotel for this purpose.

Although Orchard provides free shuttle services to/from the high-speed rail and the airport, it is on fixed schedules. Therefore it is important to call in advance to find out their shuttle service hours as they are more than 1 hour apart. And the biggest disappointment is there is no free shuttle service to the airport until 9:30 AM unless you book […] their early-bird special, which is not available on Hotel.com. I ended up paying $200 NT for a car-pooled shuttle to the airport. The other disappointment is when I called the hotel a day before check-in to reserve shuttle services, the receptionist didn't disclose the fact that I won't get free shuttle service for my early flight at 8:50 AM. It was a very nice hotel. The only draw backs were that it was in the middle of no where, it was about a 20 minute taxi ride from the Taipei airport. We arrived late and since the only restaurants are in the hotel, we ended up getting food at the 7-11 across the street.

A hotel to select for a convenient short stay, close to the airport, and right inbetween the two business hubs Hsinchu and Taipei. An excellent price/quality level, spacious rooms with all the necessary provisions, clean, quiet. No negatives whatsoever, however be aware there is no sighteeing surrounding.

As a hotel to relax and unwind - unless you come with approved gear (speedo, swim cap, indoor shoes), the recreation facilities are off limits. The room itself is huge and beautiful. The staff are nice. The service is good (they brought a crib to our room for our daughter before the bellman had a chance to drop off the bags). If you live locally in Taiwan with your own transportation and speedo, and just wanted to get away to someplace clean for a couple of days, check it out. My husband and I had a wonderful stay! Despite it being a little far from the airport, we were picked up at 10pm and brought to the hotel. Hotel was clean, comfortable and highly accessible to the airport. I went there on the second last day of my trip as i've got to catch an early flight the next day. However, when we tried to get food from outside of the hotel, our only alternative was the convenience stores opposite(7-11 or Family mart). Getting a cab to Taoyuan City cost us USD$20 […] one way, around 30 minutes ride. Buffet dinner was unimpressive. On the other hand, bed was comfortable, room was clean. Especially enjoyed the bathtub which looked spotlessly clean and the toilet bowl was like those in Japan. 空港または高速鉄道への送迎があるということでしたが、決まった時間にしかそのサービスを受けることができなかったので、夜の便で台湾到着後は空港からホテルへの移動はタクシーを利用しました。タクシー料金はホテルのサイト上の目安と同じでした。翌日の送迎はチェックイン時に予約することができ、高速鉄道駅まで送ってもらうことができました。部屋そのものは広く快適でしたが、シンクの位置がやや高かったため背が高くないと利用しにくいようでした。朝食は混んでいる時間を避けるのをオススメします。

トランジットで泊まったので、空港から車で15分と近いのは良かったです。スタッフも親切でした。 早朝出発なので朝食が食べられないと思っていたら、箱に詰めたパン、フルーツなどが用意されていて、ちょっと得した気分です。 空港まで、時間によっては無料バスを使うことが出来ました。
