Hyatt Place Seattle Downtown

While in Seattle we visited the Pacific Science Center and surrounding attractions. The hotel was within easy walking distance. The staff was helpful and friendly. The facilities were comfortable, newer and clean. The free breakfast was nice. We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place.

No one should expect to see anything like a Hyatt Regency in a Hyatt Place hotel. It is spare, even austere in its appointments. On the other hand, rooms are laid out to host small meetings comfortably, the comp breakfast is nice, and the hotel shuttle will take you to most business areas at no charge.

I stayed at this place on the last day of 2012. The hotel facility is well maintained and the room is spacious, clean and comfortable. It's within a short walk to Seattle Center. The only negative thing about the hotel is it's next to a gas station and the noise level from the street is a bit high.

This is an excellent hotel facility with a friendly staff. Our room was stylish, modern, and great for a 6-night stay for two people. Front desk staff was very friendly, not only to us (asked for and received extra towels; received Christmas Day restaurant recommendations; got help with the free shuttle to the light rail station) but also to numerous […] other guests we saw approach with questions. Complimentary breakfast was interesting and filling; the layout of the room creates traffic congestion at peak morning times, and the hotel could use a third elevator during morning hours. Fitness room and pool looked nice though we did not use. Took advantage of the 24-hour limited menu, which was a plus. Across the street from a Walgreens pharmacy and a few blocks away from a Whole Foods grocery store. We were carless and walked everywhere downtown with ease; several bus connections nearby got us many places easily and quickly; and the light rail to the airport meant we never wished we had a car. We were staying here for a convention at the Seattle Convention Center - within walking distance, right across the street from a pharmacy for any items you need to pick up. Great hotel staff, delicious breakfast and clean rooms. We had 6 people staying in the room and it was more than spacious enough and worked well for us.

We booked a nice room at a good price for downtown Seattle. We paid to park at the hotel, but there is a 24-hr free shuttle with gracious drivers that takes guests anywhere within a 1-mile radius of the hotel, so it was cheaper (and less stress) than driving around and parking at city lots, especially with road construction. The room was very nice, clean, smelled new. The pool was clean as well. The breakfast was superior (egg/ham/cheese breakfast sandwiches, waffles, everything)...coffee was a little weak which we thought was odd, but we were headed to Starbucks so we were not too bothered.

Everything about this hotel is great. The staff are all friendly and the breakfast is wonderful.I especially liked the shuttle service that took us to about all of the places we wanted to go. It is in easy walking distance to the Space Needle and the Pacific Science Museum. I highly recommend this hotel as the place to stay in Seattle.

good location, near from space needle, great restaurants, and downtown of Seattle. The room was a little smaller than that I expected but it was okay. One thing I don't like was too modern style of bathroom which was weird for me. Shower booth and toilet were in the tiny bathroom and sink was out side of the bathroom. There was no tub.

We would highly recommend this hotel! We have three kids ages four and under: the pool was perfect, the complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations and the shuttle was an awesome bonus. We took full advantage of all the services this hotel offered and we would stay here again!

The room was very cozy and well thought out. Plenty of plug-ins for all sorts of devices. Free shuttle service easily saved us $75 in cab fare. Only con was that the waffles in the free breakfast were cold, but the rest of the food was great for a continental breakfast.

The room was clean and the shuttle would take you anywhere within a mile of the hotel. The hotel sits in the shadow of the Space Needle making it easy to get to plenty of activities.

Their staff went the extra mile to assist us with any of our requests. Parking at the hotel also provided us the use of their shuttle within a mile radius, even beyond our check-out time. Very conveniently located close to Needle and Pike's Market. Continental breakfast was very good.

Overall we had a pleasant experience. Our room was on the second floor, road noise was bothersome at night. Close to Seattle Center, not much for dining within walking distance. Free shuttle helpful. Wish hot tub was on site with pool.

Grocery, pharmacy, restaruants/bars, bus stop within 5-10 min walk. Safe, quiet area. Able to walk to Pike Place Market (20-30 min). Rooms are modern, clean and nicely fitted out.

Nice stay. In town for football game. Room was really nice and comfy. Their were homeless people sleeping on benches across the street, but I think that may be a problem they have throughout the city. Hotel has a shuttle that will take you up to 2 miles, which wsas nice.

Stayed here with my family while I was interviewing for a job in Seattle. The facility was excellent and very clean. The breakfast in the morning was great for the family. Location was very convienient both for them to see the sights. Parking was expensive at $20 per day. Staff were overall very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved it. I have an extremely picky husband when it come to things such as the way staff treats people, how clean the room is, whats included in the price, the size of the room and all of that type of things. He was really impressed. Just about everything was up to his standards. We stayed one night but we wished we could of stayed longer. Our boys […] loved the comfort of the beds. They slept the whole night and where not up until about 9am which for a 3yr old and a 9 month old is not normal. We had a beautiful view of the city but we do wish our room would have been higher up on a different floor. Also one of the receptionist was not all that friendly.
