We greatly enjoyed our stay at Cefn-y-Dre. Our room was clean and tidy and the building was wonderfully warm. Breakfast was a treat, too - with a range... of options, all cooked with care - and served overlooking the garden. We felt that Cefn-y-Dre was well located, being close to Fishguard, and just a few minutes' drive away from the A40, making it easy to get around to see Pembrokeshire. Admittedly, the local roads are narrow and windy, but we didn't have any trouble with that at all - just follow the provided instructions to get there. The proprietors have clearly taken care to investigate the history of the building, and have compiled a wealth of useful and interesting material to read - as well as being happy to share their key local knowledge. Ultimately, we would be very happy to recommend Cefn-y-Dre to our friends - and you can't say better than that! Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 11, 2013

My wife and I received a very warm welcome from the owners of Cefn-y-Dre - B&B, together with a nice pot of tea, much appreciated after a five hour drive. Our bedroom was very comfortable. Breakfast was terrific - a good choice of cooked breakfasts, and most foods sourced locally. Recommended.

WE HAD A LOVELY STAY HERE, IT IS OUT OF TOWN WITH A SHORT DRIVE TO A LOVELY PUB FOR A MEAL, BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING AND FRESH PRODUCE FROM THERE OWN GARDEN. LOVED THIS PLACE, INCLUDING THE SOUND OF THE COWS IN THE MORNING!

Very friendly owners and were greated with cups of tea. Lovely large bathroom and comfortable bedroom. Quaint old building with very interesting history. Welsh breakfast was fantastic. Convenient location to tour Pembrokeshire. Sat Nav does not find house, once you see sign follow narrow road to the house for about 0.5 mile.

The owner was very polite and helpful. The house is situated outside the towncenter next to a farm and furnitured with many individual and antique pieces. Breakfast was great and you could order whatever u liked most. The only negative points were many insects in the room due to the farm and the distance to town which is about 35 minutes walk. Das Haus liegt in unmttelbarer Nähe zu einem Bauernhof. Das Hotel liegt etwas abgelegen und bis ins Zentrum von Upper Fishguard benötigt man ca. 5 Minuten mit dem Auto. In Fishguard […] gibt es diverse Restaurants und wunderschöne Möglichkeiten zum Spazierengehen. Das Frühstück ist von der Frische und der liebenvollen Zubereitung weit über dem Standard. If you need some time to relax and travel to the spectacular Pembrokeshire coast, make sure you'll stay a few nights here. This B&B, hosted in a historic villa is simply great. Perfect hosts who are obviously experienced and don't pester you with endless monologues about history or other nonsense, make you feel like home. No matter if you get some tea […] served in the afternoon, great breakfast (homegrown food - no supermarket trash!) in the morning or spend some time in the absolutely fantastic garden. I recommend the garden view room that we had. Great sight, great size! You know that you are countryside, if you hear cows, birds and maybe a bit farmwork. But hey, it's country life! Some might miss their Wi-Fi, that is not supplied - but hey! It was cool to have a few days offline and enjoy the real life. I rarely say this, but I'd chose this place again, when I come back for the next time. Read more
