Rates were very fair. Breakfast is good - would be nice if it was completely ready by the stated time - often had to wait for the hot items. Location close enough to shopping, restaurants, and downtown Nashville. Second time staying here and will return.

I really don't have any major complaints about this hotel. I got the room I paid for & it was spacious & clean - cleanliness obviously being a major... factor. My only "complaints" would be to note that they don't allow early check-in, even if it's only 20 min or so (after driving 8 hrs with a 4 yr old, 20 min can mean your sanity) & the fact that marijuana could be smelled in the hallway one day. My sister, brother-in-law & newborn son came over to visit that day & my brother-in-law, who is a police officer with Nashville Metro, spoke with a staff member about it. The staff member shrugged it off & acted as though it was no big deal. I don't know if anything further was done, but the cloying smell did go away & I didn't smell it again the rest of my stay. Overall, my experience was a good one. I wouldn't let my "complaints" keep me from staying here again in the future. by a Hotels.com guest on 05/17/13

First and formost the hotel is new, in a nice location, the staff was friendly and the place was clean. My problems were with the Candlewood Suites policies. Even though I had checked the box reserving a king suite on line I was told at check-in that on-line reservations are not honored as to room types. They give you what they have. I got two queen […] beds. Also, upon arrival, there is no ice at the hotel. There is an ice maker in the in-room refigerator but it is off and generates about 6 small cubes after being turned on, then six more after about an hour. So, if you want to have a drink with ice, you might get by for one, but NOT two. I repeat, there is no ice in the entire hotel except these few small cubes to start and to have a meeting with iced drinks the first night of your stay, you will need to buy ice. Read more
