If you want a quality overnight or couple of days stay in the "Twente" region of eastern Netherlands (en route to Germany), then this is the place. Can be a little tricky to find the first time if you diverge from your Google map instructions (or whatever you use). Excellent first class restaurant in the hotel. Try to avoid the upstairs rooms in the roof space that have a bed on the second level accessed by a near vertical spiral staircase that the US Gymnastics team would find difficult to climb with luggage!!

The area around and the grounds of the hotel are stunning. It's a bit outside of town, but being there on business, I loved coming back to the hotel and having the quiet, green respite. I missed the restaurant, having been there the two days it was closed, but the Bistro was delicious. The staff were top-notch for service. And the "gift shop"... hard to call it that really... has an amazing wine selection. I felt like I was in a private connoisseur's cellar. Prices were quite good, too. Wish I'd had more room in my suitcase to bring home gourmet oils and various wine finds.

First time at this hotel and it was pleasant. Loved the free Internet service. A little disappointed with the toiletries. Did not get to enjoy any of the on site dining so can not comment. Staff was very nice and location in center of town was perfect. I would recommend this hotel to travelers to Winterswyk and more importantly I would happily stay there again on a future trip.
