our visit to Istria area got much better due to our stay in Hotel Mauro. Nice restaurant, great food, great breakfast, wonderful services. Hotel interior is modern, nice size bathroom, very new & clean. Convienient location for walk around Porec and drive around Istria. Parking right in front of hotel and it is free. It is a bit hard to find first because you need to access a secured car access gate. There are hotel call button by the gate, push the button, hotel will let you in. The only thing that the aircond is not very efficient, it stays around 24 the whole time. Good thing it is not too hot when we were there, not sure about summer.

What a find! A great boutique hotel in a super fishing village with a staff that treated us like royalty. Special thanks to our host, Dom. He is a super manager and so efficient and pleasant. All the staff seemed like our friends and did a splendid job making our stay one of the best in Croatia. We will be back!

The hotel is in a beautiful area. it is kind of dated but clearly management expands significant efforts to keep the property clean and inviting. We were on a full board plan. The food was reasonable, but nothing like a high level restaurant. You cannot go hungry though. What bothered us is our inability to get away from smokers either in the hotel (you cannot smoke inside but smoke drifts in from the outside through open doors) or at the beach (you can be surrounded by smokers at any time).

Where do I start? I stayed for just 2 days but the hotel was effortless. We never had a problem with anything while we were there. The food was too good, and way too much food for any one person. Most definately get the Half-Board option as the food was awesome. I opted for the single room and it most definately was small, more like a closet, but it was super clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in in a long time.The hotel is located walking distance from center of town and the hotels beach was very clean and professionally manicured. The only complaint that I could think of was that they need to have more staff behind the desk as the lines waiting for check-in got kind of long at times. I would definately stay here again, and have told many friends that plan on staying here also...

Ecxcellent place to stay in peroj, which is just a short drive to pula. We found we didn't miss anything staying a short distance and what we got in return was phenomenal. Beautiful, elegant hotel, with a poolside cafe, bar and restaurant that we lounged at from breakfast through dinner. Tennis court, and great places to sit, read, relax and socialize with family and new friends. Hotel staffs wonderful people, and not hard on the eyes, these croatian men are!
