The staff were fantastic and very helpful and attentive. The building is lovely but would benefit from much better decor. The furnishings and fittings, particularly in the bedrooms were cheap and nasty and spoilt the splendour of the hotel. Advertised as a country hotel the decor is a let down. We chose this hotel due to the location. On arrival we were informed that we did not have a reservation!!! and after a lot of to and froing by the hotel and Hotels.com it was confirmed that we were indeed expected. The staff were very friendly, but this hotel sadly lacked amenities for children. The meals were excellent and the chef was very accommodating […] on our departure day. The building is old, everything is a bit lopsided, that is rather charming. However an old building is no excuse for a lack of cleanlyness. we asked for new towels as we thought they hadn't been changed at our arrival, well the 'fresh' ones were stained as well. hot wash and good detergent, please. Bathroom shelves very dusty, towelrail in need of a […] good wipe , splatters on bathroomdoor, inside and outside. Sheet was stained (see suggestion for towels) . Desk and bedsideshelves not clean. Tea/Coffee tray dirty including a couple of hairs.Food was nice but at breakfast our toast arrived when we were well finished with the breakfast. Electrical fault in the evening (no sockets) got eventually resolved. Staff was very nice but may be a few more would be needed. Was our second stay but probably the last. a bit of a letdown after last years experience. Read more

I had a great stay at this hotel, a little gem in West Wales. The staff were very friendly and helpful, my room was a suite and one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in.
