      We love everything about the Grange, the quiet, the leisurely pace, the good food, the lovely gardens, and particularly the personalized service provided by Jane and her sons Bertie and Tom. Don't come if you're looking for a hip and swinging place-this is not it and that's what we love about it.

      Though the room was small, it was comfortable and well decorated and maintained. Our hosts Marie and Ian were helpful and friendly. Great restaurants nearby. Breakfast room is cheerful and breakfast wonderful. We would go back.

      I recently visited with a group of 4, 2 couples. We stayed in the upstairs loft, the "family suite". It was only for one night and it was very nice. The only problem was that it had 1 doube and 2 twin beds. So 1 couple had to sleep separately. On an extremely positive note, the next morning when we woke up for breakfast, our rental car had a flat tire and they did everything they could to assist us (On a Sunday to boot) to find a place to fix our flat. They allowed us to stay until almost lunch, use their phone, and they even chatted with us while we waited. They were extremely hospitable and I would recommend staying here to anyone. Make sure you google maps the exact location and get directions to the exact place, because Hotels.com has the address wrong and a GPS will send you to Beverley, and really its just outside of Shiptonthorpe. All in all, a 4.5 out of 5, a fantastic countryside farmette B&B.

    The hotel was wonderful and we were looked after really well. Our room was very clean with a kitchen, lounge, dining room and bedroom area. The bathroom... was great with a lovely shower and corner bath. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic.     We wanted a short break to relax and that's exactly what we did. Wonderful warm welcome with tea and cakes. Fantastic room, very clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast with beautiful views of the garden. Would recommend 100%.

    Everything about the Wold Cottage is of highest quality. We stayed 2 nights and wished we had booked for longer. Katrina and Derek were the perfect hosts, friendly and accommodating. We wanted for nothing during our stay. We booked a twin room and it was wonderful - spacious, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. The room catered for all needs; […] tea/coffee, fridge, hot water bottle, dressing gowns, slippers and a fan. There is a sofa and a chair in the room. Breakfast was a treat, so much choice; different cereals, muesli, lots of fresh fruit, fruit juices as well as a cooked breakfast. A special mention has to be for the freshly baked bread it was a delight in itself. The grounds are stunning only wish we had more time to explore.
