The owners could not have been nicer. They were warm and outgoing and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. We spent New Years Eve at the House. The husband, a gormet chef, prepared a New Years Eve dinner that was extraordinary!! A traditional English country side home. Small rooms but spotless. We would return!!!

Hearty, gourmet food - best on entire trip!! Extraordinarily helpful hosts at front desk who helped research bus schedules and gave a lift to town. Local bus stop very near. Lovely walking trails at nearby manor house gardens.

After a very stressful day we could not thank the staff enough for their kindness and just pure Cornish wit! Room was comfortable and spotless. Food... very good and the breakfast hearty. Very friendly staff, one of the most interesting hotels i have stayed in for a long time and i have been travelling for 45 days per year for 12yrs. long live independent hotels with charming, professional and interesting owners.

This was a very pleasant 2 day break for us, always love this part of the country. Food was excellent, room was clean and the bar had some great local hand pulled beers, You also have use of a local gym. We will visit this hotel again.

I think the must have been bugs in our bed. The pa sheer screen was not installed well and it was awkward to run the bath as it was getting in the way to the taps. We looked forward to the dinner as it was packed but that was also midiocre.
