The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!

Price at the restaurant was high ei $16.00 for glass of house wine. Gym under reno and card for other facility didn't work

We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.

Just stayed one night but the room was huge and very clean. A great value for the price

"Free Internet a good idea"
When they say 3 PM check in they mean it. we arrived at about 12:30, he did not even look to see if they had a room available just told us to come back at 3. No place to put the bags until then. The Bar had no wine or Beer. Front desk staff upon check in was rude. (check out was pleasant) Parking was convient but expensive. additional 19 per day (22 […] American). Room had hardwood floors which were slippery when you stepped from shower. Bathroom was nice and newly redone however toilet paper was just placed on back of bowl. because there was no roller in the holder. Free computer was nice but it had an OLD version of explorer on it so most websites did not load properly it was adequate to google places to eat. and get directions which was good because the hotel staff could not even get us to the metro station. The computer did not have ADOBE or JAVA script and would not let you load it either. Montreal is an expensive city and the price was right on this hotel but I would not recomend it nor would I stay there again. Read more

"Don't go to the Restaurant within the Hotel"
Restaurant in the hotel... Breakfast very expensive...cold....dry....felt it was leftover from the day before... $2.00 per coffee the worst I have never seen in my entire life, cold, too strong, disgusting. We felt that because we were not part of the group and that we did not want the buffet, they were not really pleased.... Will never go back again […] and will not recommend... Read more
"Good value and great location"
The hotel was clean and comfortable, my only complaint would be the service at the front desk - some of the clerks were kind and helpful, but the person who appeared to be the manager seemed to be a bit out of touch and not too friendly or concerned with the satisfaction of the guests. "Espresso Hotel"
We only chose this hotel mainly for it's rate because we knew we wouldn't be in the too except for sleeping. It was clean and we could tell that they are making an effort to update the rooms by changing the floors from carpet to wood but we got an old room that was quite dated looking. "Great location - very nice staff"
The hotel was right in front of the 2nd stop for the airport shuttle, so very convenient. There was also a subway stop about 5 minutes from the hotel and walking to the train station/ downtown took 20-25 minutes. The room were a very good size and the bed quite comfortable. The only down side, no fridge in the room.
A/C was not working, Phone was not working, Unfriendly staff I only got a room change when I told them that I would not pay the bill.
