Reykjavik4you Apartments - Reykjavik

The 2-bedroom apartment was contemporary, clean and bright. Our family of four loved it, right on a street in the heart of the shopping/dining/nightlife district. However, our free parking was about a mile away, adjacent to the Reykjavik4you main office and the site of the 1-bedroom apartments. This made free parking impractical, so we paid for parking […] close to our apartment. Since the booking site only mentions the main office address and does not state that our rental apartment would be a mile away from the "free parking", I telephoned Svala, the owner of Reykjavik4you, and discussed the situation. She recognized the problem and agreed to accurately update the Hotels.com website. However, with regard to our stay, she was unapologetic and rigid in her position that there would be no accommodation or refund to offset the inconvenience and expense of securing parking near our rental. She stated that it had been our choice to pay for parking rather than use the free lot. I called Hotels.com and was quickly offered a $40 credit for a future booking since they recognized that the website was misleading. All-in-all, a great trip to Iceland, but parking may be expensive. Our stay was just perfect. The apartment is very clean and spacious. We got the studio and it was a perfect size for me and my husband. We arrived very early just before 8am and the reception was still close but there's a buzzer and they came right out to let us in and store our luggage until our room was ready. We didn't mind that the room was not […] ready right away because we went to the bakery right across the street and had breakfast there then walked towards the church, the tallest building in Reykjavik. Unfortunately the church office was still close at the time we got there so we couldn't get tickets to go up the tower but if you have cash (600 ISK for adult) then you'll be good to go. The church itself however was open. The apartment is about a 3-minute walk to the main street Laugavegur where the shops, restaurants, and cafe's are. There's also a supermarket right around the corner. The best part of our stay was being able to view nature's spectacular light show Aurora Borealis from the apartment balcony. We didn't have to pay to go on a guided tour to see it. We were very lucky that night. Read more

Great location. Grocery store around the corner, great bakery right across the street, major shopping and tourist areas within a few blocks. I really enjoyed having the fully equipped kitchen. Beds are extremely comfortable. Staff is very helpful. There are no negatives.

We went for the deluxe apartment which was in agreat location on the main street but away from any party noise. Really well equiped apartment. It was also a bonus that someone came in every day with fresh towels and to empty the bins. Would recommend to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Reyjkavik4you Apartments, and were not expecting such a great apartment for the price we paid, especially in Iceland, which is very expensive.It was ideally located to all the shops and cafes, and having a bakery directly across the road is a bonus. We used it at least once a day, so put on a bit of weight. There is a drip […] coffee machine in the apartment, and also the use of a mobile phone to use for local calls, which is handy for arranging day trips etc. Being an apartment we didn't expect it to be cleaned, and clean towels to be left, but it was done on a daily basis. All in all, we would not hesitate to recommend them for value and convenience. Read more

A fantastic apartment within a short walk away from the city centre. The room was very clean and it had everything you needed for a short break away .After a long day site seeing it felt like home from home and a real treat to return to. The bakery across the road is well worth a visit..the bread was great!!. All in all 10 out of 10

Excellent, affordable stay in downtown Reykjavik. Very close to nearby restaurants and main shopping street. It was also directly opposite a bakery shop which to our surprise, served excellent local Icelandic & Danish pasteries. Absolutely fantastic apartment I've already recommended it to several different people and only arrived back in the uk two days ago! It's location is close-enough but out of ear shoot of the famous Icelandic party noise at the weekend, also very good service at reception, In which they played a key role in helping us cut though all the activities available […] in Iceland to do the core essentials that make Iceland special, the only thing they couldn't help us with was seeing the northan lights but slightly out of there hands very very very good all in all!! We absolutely loved our stay at Reykjavik4you Apartments. When we arrived, the apartment we had booked was not ready, but the staff made us a really good deal which we excepted. The day after we got the room we had booked, and the staff was all about helping us out, delivering our luggage and etc. Very central location, and clean and modern apartments, […] with facilities as TV, musicplayer, bathrobe, and islandic cellphone (with numbers for taxi, airportbus, staff, police etc). Every day we got new towels. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking, with supermarkets nearby. We are definitely going back to Reykjavik (also loved the nightlife), and will of course stay at Reykjavik4you Aparments!
