Great if you just want to hang out at an all exclusive resort. However it is hard and expensive to get off the resort. It is not walking distance to anything and Internet is ridiculously expensive. Excursions booked out of the hotel are more as they have no competition being far from everything. Rooms are clean and the rooms are comfortable. Ants in room. Flies in room. Room service takes 2 hours for a simple pizza. Mayonese is extra charge. When you check out, make sure you have all the key cards an towel cards else they will charge you. There is no night manager and if u want to see the day manager, enjoy the wait. My husband and I stayed at Sol Y Mar over the Christmas Break for 5 days, and it was one of the best resort holidays we have had in Egypt. The staff at this hotel are amazing! They are so helpful and friendly, every one of them when we were there. The head chef does an absolutely wonderful job with the daily menus. The 3 buffet meals that are served […] in the restaurant are simply delicious - every night was a surprise. My husband and I would wait in anticipation of our meals, wondering what they would have that night and we were not let down a single night. The lunches tend to be similar each day, but there is a good variety of dishes, both hot and cold. Breakfast is great, too. This hotel is also one of the cleanest that I have been in during my many stays at many hotels in this country. The rooms were nice and still fresh (this hotel was only built in 2009, I think). We had asked for one with direct access to the pool, but upon check-in, they gave us a choice of that room (which we had paid only an extra $3 per night for) or a room on the upper floors. They let us see a room near the pool and I must say, I am glad we went with an upper floor room. The rooms with pool access are the same as the other rooms BUT they are much SMALLER. We were quite comfortable in the room on the upper floor. This hotel is just a 10-minute taxi ride to the main strip in Sharm. The surrounding area is very quiet. I would totally stay here again! Hotel location to the Airpor was greatt however with this its stuck out in the middle of nowhere. Pool staff very freindly and in Particular Nebal who Enterained us on many occasions( Thanks Nebal) Food was very basic and if you like Chicken and Beef YOU WILL LOVE THIS. Die Fotos und die Beschreibungen vom Hotel versprechen mehr als es ist. Auf Google Maps war der Ort leider schwer ersichtlich. Selbst im Portal auf hotels.com wurde die falsche Lage gezeigt. Das Hotel liegt weit außerhalb und ist hässlich. Es ist von Bauruinen umgeben und liegt direkt an der Schnellstraße. Das Essen ist ungenießbar. Man bemüht sich […] zwar, das reicht jedoch nicht aus. Lediglich das Zimmer war halbwegs ok. Fazit: ich würde nie wieder einen Schritt in dieses Hotel setzen! Read more

Hotellet fremstår i langt dårligere stand end der gives udtryk for på hjemmesiden. Dette var min 8. tur til Sharm og klart det dårligste hotel jeg har gæstet. Det ligger klods op af lufthavnen-hvilket giver en masse støj, samtidig med at det også ligger lige til hovedvejen. Tilgengæld ligger det laaangt fra stranden, som ej heller er beskrevet. man […] får en opfattelse af at det er ved vandet-grundet billeder af strand. Vi bokade detta hotell på plats i Sharm El Sheikh och checkade in samma dag som vi hade bokat via Hotels.com. Vi fick vänta några timmar innan vi fick tillgång till rummet men så fort bokningen hade kommit till receptionen fick vi all-inclusive armbanden på armarna och kunde direkt utnyttja faciliteterna på hotellet. Maten var helt okej och det gick […] alltid att hitta något att äta. Varje kväll var det olika teman även om det bara var en del av maten som var temamat. Det var anpassat efter de många engelsmän som bodde på hotellet. All dryck serveras i små plastmuggar men vi såg några som hade med sig egna glas och det var inga problem med att få dessa påfyllda av personalen. När det gäller vatten så fanns det den sorts vattenbehållare som finns på kontor som man kunde fylla på sin vattenflaska med i restauranten samt i poolbaren. Det kändes lite konstigt men detta var hur folk gjorde. Vi gjorde också på detta sätt och klarade oss utan magsjuka. Kranvattnet är inte bra, inte ens för tandborstning. När vi bokade hotellet och tittade på kartan över var det skulle ligga så trodde vi att det var nära havet men det låg i princip vid flygplatsen. Man stördes inte av planen. Systerhotellet Jaz Belvedere låg vid havet och dit gick det en shutlebuss varje dag och man kunde utnyttja deras strand. Det funkade jättebra men allinclusivekonceptet för oss där täckte bara dryck samt snacks som bestod av pizzaslices vilket blev lite tjatigt i längden. Och bussen blev fort full så det gällde att vara i tid. Övriga gäster på hotellet var mest engelsmän och ganska många ryssar. Personalen var trevlig och uppträdde alltid korrekt. Hotellet är ganska nytt och fortfarande fräscht men ligger väldigt off och enda chansen att ta sig till tex Naama bay är taxi. Hotellets taxiservice är dyr men de kör säkert och tryggt så vi valde att åka med dem. Sammanfatttningsvis tyckte vi att vi fick väldigt mycket för pengarna och med två barn är det toppen med all-icnlusive då de alltid har många maträt Read more
