We stayed here for 4 nights recently. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is good, with lots of fresh fruit. Yogurts were only available on one morning. We ate in the restaurant twice, the food was nice but there was a language problem, as there was no English version of the menu. (As this is mostly a business hotel, I feel translations would be their forte) Unfortunately the waiter translated duck as chicken and I was brought a duck dish, when I thought I was ordering chicken! When I pointed this out he admitted fault immediately and had the meal replaced and I got an apology! So I accepted this and the replacement meal of fish was lovely. The wifi was a whole other story! It is just unacceptable in this day and age to be told there's wifi, and then to find that you couldn't even read one email without wifi drop-out. Why is this the case in so many Portuguese Hotels? It was infuriating, as this is a definite requirement we want when we book a hotel. Just please be honest about wifi and say it's not great! Apart from the above we enjoyed our time there, and we could park our hired car in a lovely safe underground car-park. There is a tram stop a short walk away, which we used to get us to the port of Carcilhas, where we could get the ferry for the short hop to Cais do Sodre, and into Lisbon. We didn't want to take the car into the City, because of parking charges etc. I would certainly recommend this hotel, as it is extremely good value compared to other city hotels in Lisbon.

Excellent business Hotel, except for poor wifi.in every other area it deserves it's 4 Star rating. If you like sushi you will love it here in their restaurant,if you don't the choice is limited.Overall the staff are very friendly and the access to Lisbon via local tram and ferry is a better option than using your car.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. TV is old. There is an unobstructed view of the surrounding area from the room. Breakfast has pretty good choice of food with lots of fruits. But alas, the hotel does not provide free wifi, which is very important to travellers. Throughout our 14 days travel, this is the only hotel that does not provide free wifi.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in mid July. The room is not big but clean and tidy. Breakfast was fine with appropriate variety of food. There is a supermarket nearby and we visited there for ice-cream and drinking water on the two nights. Generally good service and environment.

"Good place to stay outside of Lisbon"

We were here to visit some areas around but not in Lisbon. This was very convenient as it was close to the main highway to Lisbon and also close to a metro station if you did need to get into the city. We came by rental car from the airport and got there with little problem using our GPS. Lots of parking space in the garage under the hotel (no charge to customers). The room was fairly standard size for this class of hotel, very clean and with modern facilities in good working order. The bed was very firm but this was OK for us. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was a bit awkward as it was buffet style but the restaurant was set up such that it was very hard to get to and from the food area. That could be improved. The selection of food for breakfast was OK as was the quality (some things good, others average). Front desk staff and breakfast staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant (Sushic) which was very good as well as convenient but will be reviewed separately. We had a good price for our room and thus we felt it was an excellent choice in term of quality/price.
"Good business class hotel"

This hotel is located in Almada, across the river from Lisbon. I stayed here because of a business event in the city of Almada. I arrived quite early in the morning, well before the stated checkin time, and was grateful to have a room provided. The hotel is modern, with contemporary furnishings in the lobby and its adjoining bar and restaurant, and lounge areas. The room was on a higher floor, overlooking the main freeway which takes you to the Bridge of Lisbon. Nothing panoramic, although from some areas of the hotel, a rear view of the impressive Christo statue could be seen. While it did not seem to be in a tourist destination and quite far from the sights of Lisbon, it was used by tour companies, and the restaurant was crowded both mornings with busloads of senior tourists, whose behavior and manners in the restaurant could do with considerable improvement!! Perhaps it was their tour deadlines, but they were pushy, loud and disrespectful of other people. There is not much in the way of restaurants around the hotel that I could find on a short walk around, although there we a couple of small cafes in walking distance. You certainly will need to rely on your Portuguese business hosts to find nice restaurants, and there are several in the central area of Almada. This is not a hotel for tourists doing sightseeing in Lisbon, although it is accessible by tram.
"Great location with shopping and restaurants nearby"

Alameda shopping mall is about 5 min away from the hotel. It costs euro 5.00 to get by taxi. The sushi at the hotel restaurant is very fresh. There is a supermarket next to the hotel. Breakfast spread is average with the usual processed food such as ham and salami. Overall, I am happy with this hotel.
"Nice stay for business"

I stayed here for 3 nights for business and it suited that well. Almada doesn't have the cafes, restaurants, and things to do that Lisbon does but it is a lot cheaper and closer to the location at which I was working. One thing to note that the cabs in Portugal are relatively inexpensive, at least cheaper than Bordeaux. We used the cabs to travel to Bario Alto as well as the plant that I was working in. The hotel staff was friendly, spoke English well, and was attentive. The hotel restaurant is actually #1 ranked on TA under restaurants in Almada. The breakfast is good and complimentary, the bar is nice and has cheap drinks. There are not a lot of restaurants around the hotel so I recommend taking a cab into LIsbon or down to the beach of Almada. I would stay here again for the convenience and price. A major plus for business travelers would be that the Wifi is free and pretty fast. I think some people have complained about the walls being thin but I sleep with a noise machine so I didn't notice.
"Good value for business across the river from Lisbon"

This new 7-story hotel is in a quiet area on the outskirts of Almada, across the river from Lisbon near the 25th of April Bridge. I stayed there because it was convenient to the university in Caparica where I was attending a conference, and also convenient to Lisbon -- thanks to a new tram line connecting Almada to ferries, trains, and points of interest. My room had plenty of space and was in excellent condition. Furnishings were spare but entirely adequate, and the attractive price made the hotel a very good value overall. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was ample and varied; free Wifi in my room worked fine. Overall I can recommend this hotel for those who have business on the Almada side of the river, but want to cross into Lisbon occasionally. Train connections from the airport are complicated, but I found that a taxi did not take long and was reasonably priced (though you should ask your driver, as others at my conference reported higher prices).
