WE enjoyed our stay at this resort. They up graded us to a beach front room which was excellent! Although, I was very sick for a couple of days during our stay there, we still enjoyed the resort. We needed a place to stay for a few days, didn't need to be right next to the airport but wanted it to be near Lautoka. Looked into First Landing based on location, and then read other guest reviews. This resort was given high overall marks, so we booked it. We arrived at approximately 6 AM...the hotel had no obligation to give us a room prior to normal […] check in time, but they were able to accommodate us by 7:15. The room was very nice, well appointed, clean and very comfortable. At first, the hot water in to work for us so we didn't report it. restaurant food was very good, and the service very warm and friendly. "Fiji time" was about as should be expected. Didn't swim off the beach..it was shallow at high tide and mostly exposed flats at low tide. Unfortunately I did not enjoy this stay at all. The hotel has seen better days, amenities were not inviting and needed renovation. There were coakroaches first in my bathroom. After raising concerns at the reception apparantly nothing was done as a day later some dropped onto my bed from the ceiling as I was sleeping. we booked our daughter's wedding at First Landing several months ago. We were a little disappointed to find out after we booked that construction work would be taking place at the same time. We had 156 people at the reception. Half were Aussies, half Fijian. The staff at FL landing were wonderful. They went out of their way to make the day extra special […] for all of us. Food and drinks are all reasonably priced. you can find cheaper food outside of the resort but thats to be expected. The food was always delicious and if you dont want to eat in the hotel, there is a marina right next door to the resort with delicious food and beautiful views. We went on the trip expecting to spend a lot of time out of the resort seeing fiji (although we have seen much of it before) but we liked the resort so much that we only left on 3 occasions. The activities available are amazing. The 2 guys running activities (JJ and Jope) can not be faulted, they are a real credit to first landing. If you want to go snorklelling, they will include it in the activites for the day and take you, the same with kayaking, fishing, beach games etc.. Great villa to stay in with own pool and yard. Private and quiet. Not a place to kick up the heals at night. Food at the only restaurant needs to improve. Some good meals but at times let down by basics such as not hot meals, canned mushrooms, lack of vege varieties, small meals that should be listed as light meal. Prices are ok for a resort.

We couldn't complain about our stay. The food was amazing to the point we requested cooking lessons. Everyday we came back to our room greeted by a message on our bed made of first landing flowers. Very good if you looking for privacy, big rooms, wooden warm feel - and the jacuzzi is the best! The food selection for breakfest is poor, only sweet stuff, no eggs or salad, and it feels like the place needs to be a bit more maintained, specially the pool area.

We arrived on a stormy day and were a little bit shocked to have no tv. So we were stuck in our room with nothing to do. The walls in the garden bures are very thin, we didn’t have 1 good sleep the 5 nights we were there. We were woken up early by noisey people nextdoor or outside and we had lizards in our room clicking all night. Also as it is winter […] several nights woke up cold, and there are no spare blankets in the rooms, did receive a spare blanket when asked at reception but it wasn’t enough. House keeping was not very consistent, when we arrived we only had 2 towels and a bath mat, no hand towels and face cloths, the next day we got everything but no milk, the day after that, just towels again, not one day did we receive everything so we kept pools towels in our room. Got a bit sick of having to ask for things. Food was ok, reasonably priced, would be great if cocktails were cheaper at happy hour, they are $17each. More often than not there was no one at the activities bure so after waiting for about 10minutes we would have to go and find someone. On our last day we had booked with the travel agent to go to Fiji Zip, she informed us it was about a 2hour drive there, it actually took over 4 hours each way! So on our last day we were in a van for 9 hours, The internet is an embarrassment, $7 for 15minutes and you can barely check your emails in that time, it is so slow and frustrating. Amanda and all her staff were so friendly and welcoming. After an active tour of Oz and NZ, we had a totally enjoyable relaxing time in a wonderful resort. The food was excellent as was the entertainment evening. Eating by the water on warm star light nights with a live musical trio was superb. We took a taxi from the airport but you can arrange transportation […] both ways. Excursions are bookable from the resort and we even had our own private pick up from the jetty for the island day trip which included snorkelling, kyaking and beach BBQ.Late flights out are not a problem as we were able to arrange an extra day use of our bure.The pool is a good size with a fair number of loungers and chairs and snacks drinks etc are available all day. Our overall experience was so pleasing that my Mother has booked a trip to Fiji in July and will be staying at First Landing, based on my recommendation. Really enjoyed it. Felt like you were on a small island even though on main island of Fiji. Manager and Staff were very welcoming and helpful in all areas - reception, bar, porter, waitstaff, housekeepers and gardeners. Very quiet location with entertainment on site if required but not interfering with overall quietness of garden and beachfront bures […] - could hear the water lapping. View of sea lovely. Loved the beachfront restaurant where you could sit with your feet in the sand if you liked! Food fantastic with lots of options with freshly cooked BBQ items such as local fish Walu and curry served in a fresh coconut as standouts although we did not try the lobster. Local draught beer available on tap for very reasonable price ( $2 FJ during happy hour) Wine cheaper than Australian restaurants. Bure spacious and comfortable with screened verandah. Lovely frangipani fragranced toiletries and complimentary plunger coffee available in room. Pool large and clean. Gardens immaculate. Blue lagoon transfer was efficient and only 10 mins- we were first to arrive as others from coral coast took 3 hour bus trip to arrive at cruise terminal! Read more
