ORSA MAGGIORE HOTEL - Vulcano

We were only to stay there one night before going to see the volcano island. That was a rough day for us, got a flat tire on a remote mountain top. Eventually a local man helped us to put on the backup tire and we were able to make it. The minute we walked in, we were greeted warmly and offered a free welcome drink and cookies. The guy Fabio was so nice and friendly, made phone calls for us inquiring the next day's ferry to islands(since it's Sunday) and our car rental company. We were really grateful to him, our troubled mind was comforted. And that's not it. Once he heard we were to leave before breakfast time, he packed 2 trays of breakfast for us! plus a whole bag of freshly picked lemons and oranges. By the way, the fresh-made orange juice was soooo delicious that we don't want any store purchased juice any more. The next morning we woke up, wow, what a splendid view from the window! Thank you, Fabio, you made it perfect for us, and we'd love to come back again!

It was all right, convenient to the harbor where ships depart to the Aeolian Islands, reason why tourists go to this town. Friendly service, clean hotel.

We decided to stay at this hotel because of the reviews we read on the internet. The hotel itself is really nice, but it is a pain to move around because it is far from the center of to and clean, everytime you want to go out you have to wait for the "navetta" to take you to the center and tip him, unless you want to walk for a good 15 min. The most memorable thing about this hotel was the massage we got onsite...AMAZING! Ask for Giovanni if you want to get a good massage.

LOVE IT staff was very nice, place was beautiful

The hotel was very clean and tastefully decorated. The room was a bit small, but very good quality. The bathroom was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The breakfast room was clean, the service was very good, and the continental spread was elegantly presented. Our only disappointment was that our room was not a sea view, but in the end, it was nice to be on the quiet side of the building. I would call it a luxury boutique hotel.
