We love this hotel. It re-creates the era of elegance. Truly competent and friendly staff. Cocktail hour in the grand lobby is superb. the drinks are delicious and the snacks were a real treat. Our room was large, quiet and comfortable. Walking distance to the old district and waterfront. See all the sights on foot.

We picked this hotel as the base to visit cinque terra. Hotel turned out to be great. Parking was easy and room was very large. Access to train station was really easy as well. Would recommend this hotel to those wanting to visit cinque terra, but who don't want to deal with the hassle of actually staying in the small villages.

Situated in Genoa, Rex Hotel Residence is close to Gaslini Hospital, Fiera di Genova, and Museo Civico di Storia Naturale di Genova. Also nearby are Genoa Stadium and Medieval Gates.

The wonderful people at the hotel only top off the otherwise excellent stay. They speak English and are eager to help in any way possible. I arrived in... the evening - later than expected and obviously frazzled! The wonderful gentleman at the front desk used his own personal cell phone, I believe, to contact my nephew who was waiting for me to arrive by train! Very comforting and always willing to help! I would definitely go back. Small rooms, but what more do you need when you're out and about all day touring beautiful Genova?!?!
