Besides the slightly pricey Corran Ferry ride that brings you right to the Inn's doorstep, the inn was absolutely wonderful. It was what you would expect to see in the scottish highlands. Our room was very cozy and the beds were comfortable and slightly on the firm side. Only one issue was the room was very warm since the heaters were turned on for our arrival. We were able to open the window to allow the room to cool. The view from our window was of the loch. I went out in the early morning and took pictures of the sunrise only to be greated by a flock of sheep meandering down the road. Dinner at the restraunt was absolutely wonderful. I had the best fish dinner ever and the fish and chips dinner my travel companion had was the best she had her whole vacation, And she did eat a lot of fish and chips. My only regret was we only stayed the one night. My next trip to scotland will definately include the Inn at Ardgour and definately for more than a one night stop.

This place is awesome! Huge room by European standards with modern plumbing fixtures. Even had a cute fake fireplace for ambiance. Very romantic! The breakfast was amazing - try their eggs Benedict! Inverary is a beautiful town and we wish we could have stayed longer. Would stay here again as this was our favorite place on the whole trip.

Crinan Hotel was wonderful. We had a balcony room with a spectacular view. The room and balcony were both large. One of the most beautiful places we visited in a month of traveling in Scotland and Ireland. The hotel is a little out of the way but so worth the drive. There are not other restaurants nearby but the restaurant here is excellent. We had a car problem we had to take care of and had to leave a day earlier then planned. The management was very willing to let us cancel a night. Would love to go back.

The Lochgair Hotel is a nice, comfortable place to stay. Nice people, good food, and set peacefully away from the traffic and crowds. My one worry before I got there was, "With no street name and building number, how am I going to find this place?" Not a problem! Our GPS brought us right to Lochgair and there was the hotel. Couldn't miss it if we tried. And parking -- which can sometimes be so difficult to find in Scotland -- not a problem at the Lochgair Hotel. There was plenty of parking right in front of the hotel. Internet connectivity is super-important to my son, and that was available in the room, free of charge. All in all, we would absolutely stay there again and I would recommend it to others.

The hotel is very old, is 5 stories high, but no elevator. We had booked a room with a 'sea view' and had to carry our luggage up five flights of stairs. In addition there is no heat in any common areas, and there were electric space heaters plugged in everywhere, which looked to be a fire hazard to me. Our room had a strong solvent odor..not sure if […] it had been recently painted with a strong smelling paint, but it gave me a headache. The door to the bathroom could not shut. Disappointing.Location is good but the rooms are very small, the hot water is a trickle, the heating is poor, the windows are not sealed, paid for Wifi but got no service and there is no elevator!

The hotel is a little basic and tight on space. Cant fault the location and what you pay for is what you get. The single room I had was a little cramped, the room my wife and her mother shared was better. Decor is dated, but it is clean and a fantastic location for the town and harbor.

Palace hotel is in the centre of Oban along the harbour front so in the centre of action. I stayed two nights whilst on business. It was an old style place but kept up a fairly good condition with friendly staff. The room was a little small but did not worry me at all but might others. I was at the back of hotel so can't really say too much if the front […] rooms were noisy at night due to location but i think not, certainly I had no troubles. Nice breakfast on 1st floor (where reception is as well) overlooking harbour and the early morning goings on. A nice functional stay - would go there again for sure. Read more

I have never noticed the Palace hotel before despite visiting Oban on numerous occassions.The room was very comfortable with great views across Oban Bay.

Overall thought room was expensive for standard didn't realise price was room only so was surprised when I had to pay for breakfasts but that would be my own fault.With hindsight i wiuldn't have paid the price.
