La Pecherie - Courseulles-Sur-Mer

We don't like to be right in the thick of things - and this was the perfect hotel for it. Located just off of the main strip in Trouville, things were easy to get to and far enough away that we weren't hearing people coming back from the casino at 4AM at night. The two women who run it (sisters?) were so incredibly generous with their time and gave us great recommendations on restaurants and even looked up train times for us upon our departure. If we ever go back to Trouville (from NYC) we will definitely stay here. A gem for sure. We didnt use the breakfast service (there is a boulangerie a block away) so I cant speak to that but the Wifi worked on my husbands cell phone just fine. *disclaimer - we live in NYC. so this hotel didn't feel very small to us as we live in a large studio. We didn't spend much time in it either so didn't have a problem with the size. in a town like this, you aren't going to want to be inside much anyway. Also, we obviously speak English and the women spoke some, too. Made it very easy to communicate.

We loved the hotel. We made sure that they had a restaurant for our 12/23-12/25 stay because of the Christmas holiday, which is does. We were told that they close the hotel for the first 2 weeks in January - fine. Why did they close the restaurant on December 22? There was only one place in the town to eat on Christmas Eve - a hotel with only a very expensive 'prix fixe' meal available. This was a disappointment to us.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Adagio in Caen Centre while I was on a week-long business trip in town. The studio room was perfect for us because it gave us a kitchen in which to cook for ourselves part of the time, instead of eating out every meal. There are a couple grocery stores within easy walking distance, one just outside the hotel entrance. The staff was very friendly, spoke English well, and helped us out anytime we needed it. The location couldn't be better: right on the Orne River within a short walk of restaurants, shopping, nightclubs and city attractions. Highly recommend!

The only concern we had here, was we ate at the restuarant at the hotel. Rather than putting it on our room, we decided to just pay for our meals as we go. Well come morning to check out the last dinner we paid cash for they showed and amount still due for the evening dinner. My regret was that I didn't make the waiter give me a receipt that we had paid cash. They took the charge off, but felt really bad about the issue. So if you eat at the restuarant and decide to pay in cash make sure to get a receipt that you paid. Other than that we really enjoyed our visit here and highly recommend it.

We loved staying here - the location was very convenient and close to the center of town. The couple that owns this hotel was extremely friendly and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, and the price was reasonable. All in all, a great stay.
