Perfect location! You are right in the heart of Old Quarter and all the restaurants are in walking distance on streets lined with mature trees. Stay here and be in the same area as the Metropolitan without having to pay the same price. Staff is really nice.

Elegant, reasonably priced and superbly located in one of the most fashionable areas of Hanoi, close to the Hanoi Opera and a 2 minute walk to the Hotel Metropole. A 15 minute walk to the beautiful Hoa Kiem lake in the center of the Old Quarter. The front office manager, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hung, did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable and give advice regarding tours to the stunning sites of North Vietnam, i.e., the Perfume Pagoda, Halong Bay and breathtaking Sapa, located in the "Roof of Indochina", in the mountainous northwest, close to the Chinese border. We stayed 10 days, using the hotel as a launching point to see these sights. The hotel serves a nice breakfast in the morning. They leave a fruit plate in the room each night. Highly recommended. The only problem was a so-called upgrade to the tenth floor when we were booked for a superior balcony room. Although the tenth floor has greater space the ceilings are lower and the front rooms are exposed to the roof of the Hanoi Press Club air-conditioning unit which was emitting a high-pitched squeal.
