This was the 5th place I stayed on my trip so I was not suprised by the small room size when I arrived. However, for the price, it was great for one person. Two people in the small room might have been too cramped. The included breakfast, and 24 hour beverages and the free laundromat machines for our use were great and an added bonus. It would have […] been nice to be able to receive WiFi in our rooms instead of the lobby only, but that was a minor inconvenience. About a five minute walk from the JR Train Station so that was nice, but getting to the "right" side of the tracks to get to the sightseeing was a bit of a walk. First room was NOT big enough for 2 small adults and a piece of luggage. Step up into a vinyl bathroom that looked like a dirty space capsule with no room to even put your shaving things out. We stayed at 7 different hotels and cities throughout our 14 day stay in Japan and this hotel was one of the best, if not the best. It was a little less than a 10 minute walk from the JR Hiroshima north exit. The hotel room was very small, but that is the norm in Japan; We had two large suitcases that we laid out in the entry hall, so it was good enough. […] The room was very well put together, and extremely clean. The bed was comfortable and they had CNN in English, which we appreciated after staying in hotels with no English channels at all. They offered 24 hours beverages, and the included breakfast had a nice selection. They also had great amenities for ladies( ie a ton of Shesido facial products and masks), a nice hot public bath, and many restaurants nearby. The Hiroshima tram lines, which take you to all the must see sites, was also about 10 mins away, at the south exit of the JR station. Read more

Practical enough for being close to the station and afordable but not in the interesting areas of the city (however, you will get anything you might need from the close by station) Still not that close if you have too many luggage to drag along but lockers in any Japanese station to leave the unacessary overnight (that you can ship back thanks to the […] post office at the station too...) We stayed at this Hotel on our 15th and 16th day in Japan. So, you can't say that we don't understand that rooms in Japan are just small, we do, but, the room in this Hotel was beyond small. small as in tiny. The only space where you can stand gets blocked when you open the bathroom door, so, if you stayed in one of the double rooms of this Hotel, you […] need to yell out to your partner before you exit the bathroom so that your partner can get on the bed, or back close to the outer door while you open the door out. Otherwise, this place was perfect in every way, best buffet breakfast we had in Japan, free internet (which is rare in Japan), free all day drink bar. You can even become a member of the Hotel for free, and use their member only area that has a jaccuzi and a sauna. All is all, I would stay here again, but, next time, should take the double room with two twin beds. Read more

The Urbain is a 5-minute walk from the Hiroshima Train Station and all trolley stops. Good restaurants abound in the area as well as high end shopping. A complimentary continental breakfast is offered and is quite tasty. The staff was helpful and were able to converse in English.

We have 2 double rooms for family of 4. Our rooms were the smallest rooms from fours different hotels that we stay during our trip in Japan. The rooms were very clean and tidy, but very small. It's OK to stay overnight but not recommended for couple night or more if you travel with family. A short walks from Hiroshima Station.

If you only use a hotel for sleeping and breakfast, and maybe accessing the Internet, before heading out for a days sight seeing , then Urbain Hoiroshima is perfect. Located near the station, almost next door to the Sheraton, this hotel has all that a traveller needs. The rooms are comfortable, pyjamas are provided., flat screen TVs provide Local Japanese […] channels. The showers are fantastic and the room week set out (despite being small). Breakfasts are a great combination of Japanese and European, and there are free drinks available all day as well as a laptop in the lobby to access the internet. It was conveniently located near the train station, the hotel staff was very accommodating, the room and hotel was very clean and modern and it had everything we needed for a couple days to see the sites in Hiroshima. The hotel is very new and all the facilities are top quality. The room was small, but everything was very clean. We booked 2 semi double non smoking rooms and both were the same top quality! It was a tiny room as most rooms in japan are but it had it all in a compact area. We had a great view of the baseball stadium and the bullet trains going past. It was close to the railway station. Breakfast was Japanese style but very tasty.

My wife and I have stayed here on two occasions as we visited Hiroshima and its environs. We find it is very convenient or us, close to the main JR rail station - about 5-8 minutes walk. We arrived quite late this time - around 11.00pm - and the desk staff were very helpful and had Ok English. It is a boutique hotel and small in the way many Japanese […] hotels are but we find it suits us very well, We are both in our sixties and it is an easy walk from the station and very handy to the shops and bus/tram terminus. Fixed fares are a real plus. Good breakfast included and unlimited tea/coffee etc great. Very favourable priced as well. We loved staying here & were so surprised as just how close it was to Hiroshima Station. We were travelling with a 4 & 5 year old so this was very handy for tired legs at the end of the day. Having breakfast provided was great as well. Plenty of choice in the morning & also wonderful that you could help yourself to a drink at any time of the day. We would stay here again. Loved the fact there was a park for the kids down the road & that there was a supermarket a couple of hundred metres away. Staff were friendly as well & the girls loved the giant balloons they were given when we left.
