I would not recommend this hotel for leisure travelers or pure tourists - there are much better locations for these purposes in Krakow. For business - excellent location, easy access, easy meeting point, great impression, calm rest, clean rooms - like always from HGI.

Overall excellent, except on two occasions when I requested early wake up call, such was not carried out. I explained to the personnel that they must realize that sometimes such can create for the person the unfortunate possibility of missing a potential flight.

We just returned from our trip to Krakow and could not be more pleased with our stay. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make us at home and comfortable. The place was absolutely spotless ( including the public restroom ) and the breakfast was fantastic. We would definately recommend this place to anyone. L and A Tolland Ct.

Loved it. It was really cheap but also very nice. It appears very new; it's clean. It has really good A/C (I made it very cold in there on a hot day) and is very big for a European hotel. In fact, it is about the size of an American hotel. Free wifi in your room. Service was very nice, very helpful and friendly. There's even a grocery store in the lobby […] at reasonable prices (no where close to what they'd be in the minifridge). Bad thing is the location. It's about 5 minutes from the closest tram stop, which then takes you into the middle of Krakow. You could probably walk to the city center in 30-45 minutes though. Not much nearby the hotel either. Overall though, I would rebook this hotel in a heartbeat; probably the best hotel I've had in Europe. Read more

spent 3 nights here in mid july. This is a hilton to begin with but when you add that is less than a year old together with a super offer then is a win/win situation. We visited as tourists and desk staff had suggestions and maps and terrific advice about where to go, what to see, how to get there, how much to pay. On a bus line, about nice 20 minute walk from the Main Square or the Jewish Quarter and a 5 minute bus ride to the Bonarka Mall the location was good, very quiet. The walk was nice as there are many shops and cafes and restaurants to explore. Our Junior Suite overlooked the Vistula River and Wawel Castle and had a lovely view. My only concern would be if you were visiting in the middle of winter it would be a cold, difficult walk to get to the Main Square or Wawel Castle for sightseeing. Read more

The staff at this hotel was extremely friendly and helpful and they went the extra mile by booking us a bus trip to a neighboring country. The hotel was new and .the room was outstanding by European standards. and the breakfast was fantastic. We stayed at the HGI in May 2011. As previously stated the hotel is new. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had very nice linens and fabulously large and fluffy towels. Our room faced the busy highway and Wawel Castle but we did not have any issues with noise. We had a small refrigerator which was nice for storing sodas and water we had picked […] up (much better than a mini-bar). Don't be discouraged by the location of this hotel. Bus #179 stops right in front of the hotel and travels to the bus stop right in front of the very large new shopping center attached to the bus and train stations. I believe the fair was 2.5 Zlotys (about $1). The buses are fairly new and accomodate passengers traveling with luggage quite nicely. There is also the option of taking tram #19 which has a stop at the roundabout (Rondo) just after you cross the river. Again the fare is only 2.5 zlotys. Although the bus and tram were good options. We found that we mostly walked. It wasn't that far and we enjoyed checking out the shops and sites along the way. The breakfast selection was very good. Our only disappointment was that the scrambled eggs were a bit on the runny side and the bacon was not nearly as crispy as we would have liked. However, they did make cook to order omelets or eggs and they also had make it yourself waffles with chocolate or strawberry topping and whipped cream. Tip: train fare to Wieliczka salt mine is only 3 zlotys and about 25 minutes. Read more

We drove to Krakow to visit the salt mines and auschwitz. The parking for our car was underground in a secure area which was great. Plenty of room. The guys on the front desk, Andrew in particular, was amazing. Extremely friendly, very helpful, and took a genuine interest to our stay. The food was very good and not too expensive. But I would recommend that you take a taxi into the centre for a meal in the evening as eating out is so cheap in Kracow. The taxi was also very cheap. The whole family enjoyed our visit to Krakow and a visit to Auschwits is a must! It is a day I will remember for ever. If I returned to this city I would book this hotel again. Was so impressed with this hotel - wrote review on Trip Advisor. Beautiful breakfast included in price which was a nice surprise. Everything you could possibly need is in your room. Andrzej on reception is a delight. Although a good 15 minute walk into town, worth staying here. On busy road but excellent soundproofing.
