Nice hotel, just hard to find the entrance

I booked this hotel for my mother and her brothers for a short family get together while visiting their sister in Jax Beach. They all said it was clean and nice--esp loved the breakfast, could not believe it had so much variety of diff foods and they said it was delicious! Only dissatisfied thing is that when I made the reservation, they said the room had two doubles and a sofa bed, but found out when they checked in the hotel had no such thing--so kind of squished with 3 grown people in one room. But overall they enjoyed the trip and would stay there again.

Situated on the beach, Amelia by The Sea Rentals is in Fernandina Beach and area attractions include Fort Clinch State Park. Additional regional attractions include Big Talbot Island State Park.
Property Features.
In addition to an outdoor pool and barbecue grills, Amelia by The Sea Rentals features a picnic area. The front desk is open during limited hours. Guest parking is complimentary. A total renovation of this property was completed in 2005.

Rooms feature balconies with ocean views. The 32 air-conditioned guestrooms at Amelia by The Sea Rentals include coffee/tea makers and irons/ironing boards. You are renting a time share, and staying in someone else's place, with their furniture, flat screen TV, cable, etc. The unit I rented had folk with good taste, two bedrooms , each with its own private bathroom, a living room, dining room, kitchen, with a large balcony overlooking an endless beach directly on the Atlantic ocean. We kept the balcony […] doors closed as the sound of the surf was pretty intense. The complex has six stories, we were on the second floor. There are elevators. All units have balconies facing the sea. There is a swimming pool. Across the street is a place with good food, music, and fun times. Cost for the unit was extremely reasonable, half that of places inland. Security is top notch, you are given a gate pass card to gain entry to the complex and also the beach, no surprises. Plenty of Privacy, and very few folk. We had the beach to ourselves for 4 days. We will be back. Read more
