The best thing about this hotel is the staff - very friendly and helpful.

Owner and Office manager were extremely nice and helpful. Hotel was in a great location and decorated with Carribean colors and flavor. Will definitely stay there again if I get a chance to return to the island.

Good value for money relative to other local hotels. Fun friendly staff in a laid back setting. Will return.

We spent one night in St John after sailing the BVI for 2 weeks. This hotel allowed us to stay one night, whereas the others have a 3 night minimum. It is well located to town and car rentals. We walked there from the boat. The crew that works there are very nice and informative. Our room had an outdated and old couch, but the bed was comfortable. The […] area was loud at night (we were there on a Friday) and there was a lot of music from peoples cars. Once we turned on the AC, it drowned the noise out. would recommend this hotel for the young, budget minded traveler. If your looking for posh accomadations, this may not be the place for you. St Johns Inn provides the essential with warm friendly staff

Friendly staff, clean room, lovely deck to watch sunset with complimentary rum punch! Nice to grab the supplied beach towels, beach chairs and cooler for our beach excursions. Close to fantastic restaurants and grocery stores. Staff/ owner gave us fabulous recommendations for dinner. Would stay here again.

It is a good place to stay for one night, not a great location.

I have a preference for owner-run small hotels, but it can be difficult to find ones where the atmosphere is relaxed and happy, the staff friendly and caring and the rooms clean and comfortable. St. John's Inn has all of these qualities in aces. It is close enough to town to pop out for dinner, but not so close that the noise would keep you up. The grounds are adorable, the rooms well appointed and the bed was more comfortable than many more expensive hotels that I have stayed at. The great part about St. John is the town and so being close to it was a priority when booking. We were only staying one night, so I looked for the cheapest available. Walking up to the hotel, I was fairly sure we were getting what we paid for...BUT WAIT! It turned out to be the most charming hotel we stayed in during our entire stay in the US/BVIs. […] The owners had done the best with an older building, painting bright colors, stocking it with the nicest of ammenities. The owner was there when we checked in (way early), offered us use of her beach cooler, towels, and chairs when we mentioned hitting the beach. Breakfast spread exceeded expectations, fresh fruit and water all day, rum punch party at sunset (with a phenomenal view to boot!) This will be our go-to hotel on St. John from now on... Read more

The room was clean, cute, and everything worked well. If I were going back to St. John I would definitely stay here again. Our friends stayed at the Westin and had a sink that didn't drain, a toilet that didn't flush, and their parents room had broken AC as 10 women were getting ready for a wedding- including the bride! The grounds were pretty, but […] it was far away, had to take a taxi everywhere and some of our wedding party couldn't get a taxi back to downtown after the wedding reception ended at 1am. I would have been really upset if I didn't stay at the St. John Inn. I even accidentally broke an entire bottle of sticky liqueur on the tile floor and they cleaned the stickiness for me. This was a great place to stay. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. It is close to town and the ferry to St. Thomas. It's a 3 minute walk to the most popular restaurants/bars, shops, etc. You can also get a taxi to anywhere on the island from here. My husband and I stayed here for one night prior to renting a house in Chocolate Hole for a week. I thought it was a great little spot close to Cruz Bay. I wouldn't recommend staying for a long period of time, but for a stopover for a night or two I thought it was great and very convenient. The staff is more than accommodating and very friendly. While this is not the Ritz, we were not looking for the Ritz. We wanted to spend a late nite in Cruz Bay, watching live music without the rush to get to the ferry back to Saint Thomas. I booked the St. John Inn and was happy with the price. I was not expecting luxury, and I was truely amazed at how nice this hotel was. The two people who run the hotel are genuinely friendly people. From making our dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant to recommending great jungle hikes and beaches, they really made our trip fantastic. You could […] really not find a better guide to St. John island! The hotel itself is very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was hot, and they even had an iPod dock radio. How awesome. There was 5pm rum punch for happy hour, free continental breakfast, and even fresh beach towels and coolers/chairs that you could borrow. The hotel is also in a great location. It is within walking distance to all the bars and grocery store, and within walking distance to some truely amazing beaches. St. John inn was incredible. We can't wait to go back! Read more

Check-in and check-out experience was great. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Room was spacious and with good amenities, but was in poor state of repair. Staff listened to our concerns on departure and seemed like they would be addressing them. Declining maid service ("DND" or similar) did not seem to be an option, and maid service was poor: […] made the bed, MOVED some dishes (but didn't wash), REMOVED both coffee cups, didn't replace expended in-room coffee packets, didn't replace used hand towel left on porch to dry. I would recommend this Inn to travelers on a low budget. Although the room was clean, it was dark. The air conditioner was noisy and blew directly onto the bed with no way to redirect the air.
