      I am a return guest to the Estherea. The hotel is quite enjoyable. One can tell that it is a labor of love on the part of the owner and staff. Some visitors from abroad my find the room size cramped but this is, in my opinion, more of an issue with European hotels and less with the Estherea. The Estherea is in a great location, it is beautifully decorated, the service is excellent and the staff is friendly and professional. I recommend it highly.

      The staff was very friendly and helpful! My only suggestion would be to give more detailed instructions on how to arrive from the airport to the hotel. It is not included in the hotel shuttles and we had a hard time finding out how to take the public transportation. Ended up taking a taxi which cost €40. But it is worth the trouble. Very nice hotel and includes a nice breakfast. We would definitely stay again if visiting Amsterdam.

      Only stayed here 1 night - it was convenient and cheaper than the airport hotels for an overnight. Right acrosss the street from the central train station (5 minutes walk), 4.40 Euro and <30 minutes to the airport, lots of restauraunts in the area and plenty of shops - conevnient for luggage as well! Free wifi new TV's. Would stay here again.

      This hotel is good value for the money. The room was big, clean and we had a great view of the canal. The hotel is very close to tram stations, restaurants and super markets. We would definitely consider this hotel again.

    For those whose employer is not paying for Sheraton rates, it is worth choosing this hotel for the restaurant alone. Also the Novotel across the street has an excellent restaurant - you use the Novotel bus from Schipol to get to the De Herbergh.

    This hotel is a gem! The gentleman who checked us in showed us to our room and made sure the accomodations were satisfactory. Room was comfortable and clean. Great little bar and delicious breakfast buffet. After breakfast, we took a walk in the neighborhood and enjoyed the beautiful gardens in the nearby houses.     Don’t be fooled by the pictures, the Herbergh Amsterdam Airport Hotel has the room layout of one group being directly on the roadside (Schipolweg) and one group being shielded from the road noise by the first group. The road noise group is EXTREMELY noisy; I do not know about the noise conditions of the other group. Our room only had a standing oscillating […] fan, there was no air conditioning. With the combination of having to keep the windows closed due to the road noise and no air conditioning, we were quite uncomfortable during our stay. The TV sound was governed to the point of being hard to hear above the fan and road noise. The shuttle bus begins service at 5am, but you have to walk your luggage a couple of city blocks in order to catch it over at the Novotel Hotel. The staff is very friendly and the entire hotel is very clean. Read more

    Although small, the hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating, letting us check in six hours early after an 7:00 am arrival when our room was ready early. Only drawback is that we had to walk a kilometer to the nearest bus stop and finding local places to eat besides the hotel was a bit of a challenge.

    To concentrate on the negative. The only comment I have to make is that the decoration of our room was a bit tired and could do with some attention and the bathroom was in need for some repair. Other than these minor points our stay was very comfortable and ideal for our needs.

Wish we could have had another eveing to dine at the Trattoria La Bocca-the menu was enticing. Only one criticism regarding the hotel: Free shuttle service is advertised to and from Schiphol and Central station but no information […] is given on the website concerning where and how to locate the shuttle. Even at the shuttle bus terminals there is no sign announcing the Herbergh Hotel. After several inquiries we discovered we take the Accor Hotels bus. The Novotel is where Herbergh guests disembark and access the shuttle to and from Schiphol. This involves a walk of approx a half block which may be difficult for disabled or infirm persons, or those with cumbersome luggage or inclement weather.     A pleasant, clean and nicely decorated /furnished hotel, practical and relatively inexpensive for visitors to Amsterdam and the bulb fields/ Keukenhof with a car as there is ample free parking on site. The bus into Amsterdam is an 8 minute walk and takes about 40 minutes - but runs only every 30 minutes. Alternative is the shuttle bus from the nearby […] Novotel which goes to the airport, where there is a regular train service.     Na enig aandringen toch een ontbijtpakket (tegen betaling) meegekregen. We moesten om 04:00 al een taxi nemen naar het vliegveld, vandaar de wens voor het ontbijt pakket. De cappuccino met verwennerij (etagare met verschillende zoetigheden) was uitstekend.

    Was exactly what I was looking for . Good price and free parking with free Internet. I rented a car and all other hotel around the airport/area I would have to pay for the parking. That makes a big difference for me. Good and clean room. Breakfast; here is the only negative about it. I thought it was included when I made the reservation via this site. […] It was not, and it is on the pricey side, but still good quality breakfast. If you come without a car there is the bus from the nearby Novotel and going to downtown Amsterdam is not that difficult as there is a bus nearby (about 10 min. walk) that takes you direct to the Leidseplein in heart Amsterdam. Also there are two restaurants annexed to the hotel. Can’t complain, definitely would recommend it! Read more
