The Convent Hotel is located on one of the main streets in Amsterdam and within easy walking distance to the Centraal Train station and Dam Square-so public transportation is a snap. The hotel is well kept and the staff is very friently. The one complaint about the staff is that they do not seem very knowledgeable about typical tourist activities in Amsterdam and we didn't find a concierge staff member to help with some of our questions. Our booking through hotels.com did not include the breakfast, which looked wonderful and was expensive, so we found a lovely little care within a block or two from the hotel for our breakfasts. Lots of tours seem to use the hotel, so the staff is very comfortable speaking in English with everyone.The entrance to the hotel faces the very busy street, but the rooms are all in the back of the hotel and are very quiet. We enjoyed our stay. I would suggest trying to get the breakfast included in the hotel price.

The hotel was clean, nice, the staff friendly and helpful, especially the Concierge. The location was great, within walking distance of many restaurants, and things to see in Amsterdam.

The room was very small and a bit tight for friends. It would be nice for a couple. But the room had a cozy private terrace. And the staff was wonderful! The two desk personnel we encountered were helpful, went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for a great visit and made a point of having what we needed before we knew we needed it. The hotel was clean, the food just right and always a fresh cup of coffee waiting for us. I would return without thinking twice.

Conveniently near the airport in Badhoevedorp, Herbergh Amsterdam Airport is close to Business Park Amsterdam Osdorp, Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Schiphol, and De Meervaart Theater. Additional area attractions include Rijksmuseum and Anne Frank House.

"Better than a Chain Hotel"
Although small, the hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating, letting us check in six hours early after an 7:00 am arrival when our room was ready early. Only drawback is that we had to walk a kilometer to the nearest bus stop and finding local places to eat besides the hotel was a bit of a challenge.
Great staff, lovely hotel, delicious breakfast, convenient access to int'l airport. We would definitely stay there again.

"Nice, reasonable hotel near Schipol Airport"
We liked this hotel for a quick overnight stay before a flight out the next day. Rooms are clean, simple, just fine. It's about a 10 minute ride to the hotel on the airport shuttle, which picks up and drops off at a hotel just down the road about 1 block. "A short stay in a very nice hotel"
I was on my way to the Amsterdam airport for an early morning flight and needed a place to stay overnight. The Herbergh Hotel really did the trick. "Hotel Herbergh, the nicest hotel in the area"
We were really satisfied with our stay at the hotel. The only thing we did not like was that the bed was not a real double bed but two single-beds put together. Highly recommend Brasserie La Bouche for dinner. The chef is an artist and a magician-imaginative, creative, and generous. Wish we could have had another eveing to dine at the Trattoria La Bocca-the menu was enticing. Only one criticism regarding the hotel: Free shuttle service is advertised to and from Schiphol and Central station but no information […] is given on the website concerning where and how to locate the shuttle. Even at the shuttle bus terminals there is no sign announcing the Herbergh Hotel. After several inquiries we discovered we take the Accor Hotels bus. The Novotel is where Herbergh guests disembark and access the shuttle to and from Schiphol. This involves a walk of approx a half block which may be difficult for disabled or infirm persons, or those with cumbersome luggage or inclement weather. "Close to Airport, far from the city"
We spend a weekend at De Herbergh van Badhoevedorp hotel. It was a pleasant stay overall, as we used the hotel only for sleeping. The room and bath were very clean. We didn't try the breakfast because we didn't want to pay such a high price for it. The nearest P+R (Olympic Stadium) can be reached within 10 min by car. I enjoyed the stay and proximity to Schiphole airport. Need to put identification on the shuttle bus and hav it make stop at the hotel.
A pleasant, clean and nicely decorated /furnished hotel, practical and relatively inexpensive for visitors to Amsterdam and the bulb fields/ Keukenhof with a car as there is ample free parking on site. The bus into Amsterdam is an 8 minute walk and takes about 40 minutes - but runs only every 30 minutes. Alternative is the shuttle bus from the nearby […] Novotel which goes to the airport, where there is a regular train service. Restaurants on site (little alternative choice) - the Italian one is expensive and the food was unsatisfactory. My complaint was simply shrugged off. Read more

"Hotel nær shipol lufthavn med god pris"
Sent ute med å bestille hotel nær Shipol. Dette var bra og fine rom , god service , vi kom veldig tidlig og de fant rom til bagasjen. kort til bus stop og fin tur til sentrum på 30 min med bus. må ta taxi begge veie til lufthavnen. god mat på hotellet

"Beautiful Neighberhood"
The hotel is a bit far away from downtown area, but very comfortable and located in a beautiful neighberhood. Transportation to airport is convenient, too.

Ein Hotel halt. Kleine Zimmer, aber sauber. Nur der Blick aus dem Fenster im ersten Stock ernüchterte schon etwas: Blick die Teerpappe des Flachdaches vom Anbaus . Viel schlimmer aber: wir schlafen gerne mit offenem Fenster, vor allem im Sommer . dieses Mal mussten wir das Fenster aber wegen der lauten Geräusche bis auf einen kleinen spalt doch schließen. […] So hatten wir als Kompromiss etwas frische Luft und nur „etwas“ Lärm. Die Lage des Hotels war für unsere Belange aber ganz in Ordnung, weil es ebend doch nur als Schlafstätte dienen sollte. All in all a good experience, but the staff lacked a basic knowledge of Amsterdam, public transportation and parking in Amsterdam. Could have saved us some euros in the end.
