This was our first BnB. The Hosts were gracious and friendly and treated us like family. The big old house was full of charm. Ideally located near many historic sites and shops. The food was absolutely amazing. The 3 cats and 1 dog helped with being away from our own "kids". Plan to go back for sure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Even though this was a bed and breakfast there was no breakfast on Sunday - and on Saturaday no milk for tea and no seconds on any brekfast item.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Best Kept Traveler's Secret"
Charming and wonderful B&B. Was in area to see Longaberger Basket factory but this was a much better find. Marin and Allison are gracious hosts and have the personalities to be superb Innkeepers. "Clean and personal attention"
We were well treated and glad we stayed there. Off the "beaten path". Downtown Dresden (two blocks away) worth a walk through. I would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Innkeepers were very accommodating and pleasant. Food was excellent. Not only did we have breakfast but we also purchased dinner which was great. The dinner menu was larger than expected and it was very easy to choose what we both enjoyed. Close to downtown Dresden and Longenberger Homestead. We were going to Cambridge for an art festival and this location […] was very convenient. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Read with grain of salt"
This B&B has two location within a few blocks of one another; The Pines and The Ivy. We stayed in the Ivy building, which is definitely the lesser of the two. Unfortunately, we had a somewhat noisy neighbor who kept us up. I don't fault the B&B for this, but the walls are slightly thinner than your typical hotel, so you are at the mercy of the consideration […] of the other guests. If I were to be in the area again, I would definitely try staying at the Pines. It's a beautiful house, and that's where the exquisite cooking takes place. The host, Allison, is very nice and helpful. If it wasn't for her, I might have given the place a lower rating. The Ivy doesn't deliver the "wow" factor that comes with a B&B experience, but overall we were satisfied. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely, relaxing and quiet."
My daughter and I enjoyed our 1-night stay with Ali and Marin. We felt very welcome and enjoyed their many pets (3 cats and a spoiled bulldog). The room was very comfortable and the surroundings so quiet. It made for a great night's sleep. Our hosts recommended a local restaurant for dinner which was also a winner. Our breakfast was lovely - looked […] awesome and tasted great, too. Ali put out snacks at night and there's a fridge you are welcome to visit or store your own stuff in. We enjoyed it totally. Wish I could have spent several more nights. We'd stay here again for sure. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Getaway spot"
Marin and Allison were wonderful hosts, the food was special and the setting was ten times better that a motel in the middle of a black-topped parking lot. We'll be back next summer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"tranquility and great food"
Loved staying here, the hosts are warm and friendly, the food was wonderful, the house is restored nicely. We opted to have dinner, which was fantastic. Dessert is put out at night for guests which was delicious. The breakfast was a decadent French toast soufflé accompanied by candied bacon, eggs, and fresh watermelon. We can't wait to stay here again […] sometime. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Marin and Allison are excellent hosts. Evening dessert was delicious, as well as breakfast the next morning The property is immaculate, but warm and inviting. Rooms are very comfortable. An inn which I look forward to returning, hopefully in the near future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our stay was superb. I staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful stay. We would stay there again. The breakfast and evening dessert was delicious!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We spent two nights at The Ivy (Sunshine Room), and were delighted with the B&B. The service was warm and responsive, the food was delicious, and the setting was beautiful and soothing. It required a bit of a drive in the country (at least for us city-folk), but was worth it. We came away feeling renewed and relaxed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were very pleased with our stay at The Ivy - the sister site to the Pines. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely try and get a room at the Pines, to take advantage of the wonderful food that we only heard about. Our schedule didn't really allow us to linger as we were attending our son's regatta. Allison and Marin were kind […] enough to leave us a breakfast-to-go in the refrigerator each morning. "A marvelous night!"
NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE IVY BED AND BREAKFAST AT DRESDEN We stopped over for one night at the Ivy on the way from Illinois to Maryland. We found a warm and cozy room with all the required things you need for a nice stay. The Sunshine Room was very clean, neat, impeccable and everything was in its place. The breakfast was delicious, with amazing […] blueberry muffins. A special mention to Allison's hand-written notes, which made us feel very welcome! Superb stay! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Outstanding in Dresden"
It was a great B&B. Allison & Marin could not have made us feel more at home. Everything was excellent including a dinner for 6 under the Gazebo with food to savor the memory of for some time to come. Our new favorite place to stay in Ohio.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel staff could not be friendlier! We had a little trouble finding the place, and one of the staff drove with us to the bed and breakfast part of the hotel so we could follow her. Very cute room, and the town is adorable, lots of cute shops. We will be back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice setting. Very homey."
We enjoyed our stay at The Pines of Dresden. The owners are a delightful couple and are very accommodating. The husband is a gourmet chef so the breakfasts and the one dinner we had there were excellent. The setting is pleasant with a large yard where you can swing, relax in the gazebo or give the hammock a try. Our room was nice but could use a few […] simple amenities such as curtains or shades for the windows, in addition to the scheers, to aford a little more privacy. The bathroom could use another light for shaving and applying make-up and an easy chair for reading or watching TV would be a nice addition. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful 1st time B & B experience!"
We really enjoyed the low key atmosphere of this home away from home! The owners were very accommodating, and Marin is quite a cook! The breakfasts were delicious and served with style, thanks to Allison! It was relaxing and fun to stay in such peaceful surroundings. And we were quite comfortable even with the outside temps over 100 degrees - I was […] a little worried that we would arrive and there would be problems with the AC, you never know when something is going to go wrong in an older home. My worries were totally unnecessary! If and when we visit Dresden again. I'm sure we will choose to stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Mother-in-law rates service and hospitality with A++++++"
07/25/14 jeffkallas Dayton, Ohio
I set this up my my mother-in-law and her cousin from VA as a "stopping point" for their travels as they met us in Millersburg OH for the weekend. I think their stop to this B&B is the highlight of their trip. The food, atmosphere, rooms and owners Marin and Allison were in her words "Awesome!" I worked with the owners to ensure everyting was set to include their dinners and I couldn't have asked for better service and response.
"A memorable visit"
07/14/14 THELegend65 Tomball, Texas
I booked a friend in the Pines of Dresden for a 3 day stay in late June 2014. He could not have been more pleased with his accommodations or more effusive in his praise of the host and hostess, Marin, especially for his Chef skills and Alli for her devotion to seeing that every guest’s needs are met. He said the breakfast’s were sumptious and the late night desserts beyond compare. He loved the place and the people he met, many of whom were repeat customers from nearby towns or cities and they loved the Pines as a brief get-away. He is definitely looking forward to his next visit. In fact, since writing this he has already booked a week stay for September of this year!

A wonderful place to stay. The food was great and the hospitality even better. A beautiful place to relax. Thank you for making our first stay in a bed and breakfast a wonderful experience. Marin and Allison were the perfect hosts.

My girlfriends and I experienced a most relaxing couple of days at The Pines. Allison, Marin, and Sissy were so welcoming. We felt as if we were visiting friends. Their home is charming and very comfortable. Be sure to experience one of Marin's gourmet dinners. So worth it!! One of the best bed and breakfasts I have ever visited. I can't wait to go back to this wonderfully peaceful property.

Marin and Allison (and their pets) are perfect hosts who truly have the gift of gracious hospitality. The grounds and home are lovely, the food is outstanding, and the rooms are charming. While there is much to do within a 40-mile radius of Dresden, be sure to arrange your schedule so as to enjoy at least one dinner at The Pines to experience Marin's culinary creativity.
"A relaxing time"
06/30/14 meanderer_10 buckeye country
My wife and I spent an evening soaking up the peaceful atmosphere at this charming bed & breakfast. Allison and Marin made us feel very welcome and have created a pleasant experience for their guests with large trees, flowers and strategically placed gliders and chairs to relax in. We had the tasty meat and cheese plate along with refreshing cucumber water and tea. In the morning we enjoyed visiting with the other guests around a delicious breakfast. Our ground floor room was cozy and clean. Allison tried her best to accommodate my wife's mobility problems and we managed, although it would not have worked if she would have had to use her wheelchair. If it is charm you enjoy, you will not be disappointed with this B&B.
"Beautiful and welcoming!"
06/30/14 Katie D Denver, Colorado
The Pines of Dresden is incredibly beautiful, welcoming and relaxing! The wonderful hosts, Allison and Marin, were extremely welcoming and helped make our visit as comfortable as possible. They were very flexible with our check-in (we arrived late at night, definitely "after hours") and made themselves available if we needed anything. The food was delicious and both the Pines and The Ivy rooms were comfortable. It is very evident that Allison and Marin take pride in their beautiful bed and breakfast, and it shows!

My husband and I stayed at The Pines this past weekend. The grounds and house were beautiful and inviting. There were places to sit a relax all around the yard and a wonderful screened porch. The hosts were so gracious. Marin made a pie for evening snack that was the stuff dreams are made of. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was yummy. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return this fall.

My fiance and I recently spent two nights at this cozy B & B. There are so many things I could comment on, I'm not sure where to begin. Allison and Marin were both friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Blue Jay room which was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the room so quiet. The food was amazing and presented beautifully as well. There are too many nice touches throughout the house and property to mention. There is obviously a lot of love and attention given to every aspect of the business. We will be staying again the next time we are visting family in the area. Thanks Allison and Marin! Kathy & Jay (and Marty!)
"Relax at last!"
06/02/14 sscanton Canton, Ohio
5/31/14 Talk about finding a diamond in the rough! Well, this is it! The sleepy little town of Dresden, OH has one of the most enjoyable B&Bs- The Pines. The Innkeepers, Allison and Marin, attend to the slightest details to sooth and relax their guests- from 4 or 5 shady yard spots to a comfortable cozy house interior. Although quiet, Marin, the chef is exceptional in treats, delights, entrees and breakfasts. Allison, soft spirit as she is, is very attentive to doing more for you to make the stay more enjoyable. Clean, relaxing, value. We would stay again and encourage you to visit. S&J, Canton, OH
