"A very pleasant surprise"
Located just north of the Seattle Center, the Maxwell is walking distance to several restaurants, the Space Needle, EMP, and numerous other attractions. They have free parking in their underground garage, a cheerful and well-trained staff, and lovely, updated rooms. We couldn't believe our luck in picking this hotel out of the dozens that piqued our […] interest online. We will definitely stay here again on any future trips to Seattle. "A week in Seattle"
We love the Maxwell. The location was great for all we wanted to do, 5 minute walk to Seattle Center and a short ride on the monorail to Pikes Market. Only down was the construction on streets, but that only made an issue trying to get I-5. Everywhere else was easy. Nice walk to breakfast at Toulouse Petit every morning and cupcakes and coffee in the […] lobby every afternoon. The only place we will stay in Seattle. The room was very comfortable for 2 adults and a teenager. Always celan and plenty of hot water. Elevator security is nice having to use your room key to get to your floor. And the hotel restaurant The Rock, is convenient and tasty. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location by Space Needle, Chihuly Museum"
We had a great experience that included a quiet room where we never heard any neighbors. The room was large, modern, and comfortable. The best part however was the excellent recommendations and help from the front desk staff, particularly Tammie. The recommendations went well beyond the average tourist attractions and were in-depth as to why we may […] want to consider them. We liked staying in a neighborhood-type setting and enjoyed the Queen Anne area with good restaurants (Toulouse, Pesos, 5-Spot) and were able to use the shuttle to get downtown to the Pike Place Market area. We enjoy walking to see areas we visit, so it was great for us since we had opportunities to walk to the Space Needle, Gates Foundation, and even the Duck Tour but we could still stay away from the loudness and hustle/bustle of the Market area. "Two nights in Seattle"
My wife and I stayed here for two nights as part of a 17 day west coast trip. I liked the idea of a boutique hotel like this rather than the big chains for a change. We both liked the room - very modern and pretty comfortable. Service was good - when we got there the bathroom light was not working so we told the front desk about it when we came down […] for lunch in the in-hotel restaurant (The Rock) and by the time we were done the light was fixed. The staff was helpful in general and they had free cupcakes each day in the lobby. They had shampoo, body wash, and conditioner mounted on the shower wall which was cool. WiFI was free and pretty fast. Parking was included and was indoors. The hotel is only 2 blocks from the EMP museum and the Space Needle, etc. A bus goes by a block away if you're into mass transit - we used it. And there are several restaurants and bars in a couple of block radius. Not a very busy downtown area so it was also pretty quiet. By the way, Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"I need a bathtub"
I have a new born baby and he needs a bathtub. But the hotel does not have a room with a bathtub. It's very fancy and modern design hotel but it's not comfortable for us to stay at there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not Sleepless in Seattle"
A very delightful experience in a part of Seattle near the Seattle Space Needle, the EMP and Science Center. The jazzy, New Orleans look of the interior is whimsical and easily one of the nicest designs we have seen. Hospitality and front desk staff are grade A. Thanks!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location to Seattle center"
My wife and I had a great week stay at the hotel. Rooms were spacious and had the necessary amenities. Opportunity to use bicycles or take the hotel shuttle to a select few points of interest offered good transportation options. Not to mention the hotel proximity to many tourist attractions. Overall, good hotel offering comfort and a great location […] to its guest's. Will be recommending hotel to others and looking forward to stay there on our next Seattle visit. "Clean hotel, good location."
Pros: Free parking, free bicycle rentals, perfect walking distance from Seattle Center, and dog-friendly. Cons: Despite having dog amenities available in your room (hardwood floors, dog bed, water dish and poop-bags), they don't offer dog walking or sitting services, nor could they even recommend any. So points lost for that. Otherwise, decent hotel, […] very clean, great for families, would recommend. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Easy walk to Seattle Center"
Very chic and comfortable hotel. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed here one night pre-cruise and one night post-cruise. On arrival we were greeted by staff who seemed helpful and attentive. We ate at a local restaurant (Crow) that we walked to that was very good. Neighborhood is funky with some surrounding residential areas. The view from the room was nothing we wanted to look at-some old apartments, but […] the room was clean and comfortable. Lighting overall was a little dim. Keurig machine in room and creamer in fridge as promised. On our post-cruise stay we were able to check in early which was great. Took the shuttle ,which was clean and comfortable, to Pike Place. Shuttle picked us up on time and we walked to another great restaurant (Toulouse) for dinner which was excellent. Overall rooms were clean and comfortable, located in walking distance to some great restaurants and a market (Metropolitan Market I believe) which is like a Whole Foods. I think we would stay again if not staying downtown. I rate it B+ Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Surprising hotel in a good location."
This was a girl's trip to attend a wedding in Seattle and we could not have been happier. Situated about 5 blocks from the Space Needle, it was easy to use the monorail there to go downtown where you are easy walking distance to Pike 's Market, shopping, dining and the waterfront. In addition the hotel has a very nice free shuttle that runs during the […] daytime on a reservation basis. The neighborhood itself is an ecclectic up and coming neighborhood that had a great Thai restaurant down the street (Bahn Thai) and a wonderful breakfast place also. The hotel has a little coffee bar that has some breakfast items for sale that was more than adequate. There was also a bar/restaurant that was decent fair. And convenient. The whole hotel seems newly done, the rooms are decorated nicely and laid out very nicely. Love the no carpet thing. Rooms were very clean and the staff was great too. Parking underneath the hotel for free. Also easy access to I-5 from this location. Would definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great trip - Traveling with a toddler"
My family has just returned from a four night trip to Seattle where we had a great stay at the Maxwell Hotel. The hotel is very well maintained minus some nicks on the hotel room desk and dresser. The room was laid out nicely providing enough room to move around without bumping into our suitcase and stroller. I was surprised to find that the hotel is […] actually located in a quiet residential neighborhood. This worked out well as it allowed us to dine out at some great local restaurants instead of busy touristy spots. We opted not to bring our bulky car seat and took the Link Light Rail and Monorail from the airport. A shuttle is available to local sites (not the airport); however, since we did not have a car seat, we could not use it. The website had said that a limited number of car seats would be available, but upon arrival we learned that they had upgraded their shuttle and you needed to provide your own car seat. A little frustrating, but not a problem since most things were nearby or accessible via the Monorail. It was only a five minute walk to the sites located in the Seattle Center including the Space Needle, EMP Museum, Pacific Science Center, Chihuly Glass and Garden Museum, Children's Museum, Ride the Ducks, and our favorite, the International Fountain. You could also easily board the Monorail and take a 3 minute ride to the Westlake Center and walk to Pike Place Market and the Waterfront (Great Wheel, Aquarium, and cruises). "Best Hotel We Ever Stayed In!!!"
Wow! Where to start! Beautiful, clean, comfortable room. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Nice perks, which really make the stay worth while: free water bottles in the room, Keurig coffee makers in the room, and the happy hour featuring Starbocks coffee and cupcakes. The cupcakes alone are worth staying at The Maxwell for! The Rock, located […] in the hotel, is a fun place to eat. Having the coffee bar and food available for purchase was convenient. Loved everything about this hotel except that the room was not ready an hour after check in time and the lady that served us didn't seem very willing to help us. However, the cupcakes were my favorite part of the stay! they were amazing!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasant design hotel close to downtown"
We very much liked the design of the Maxwell from the large and open reception hall all the way to the stylish room. The bathroom is very spacious with a large open shower area; very comfortable and with all that is needed during travel. The co-location with a restaurant, "The Rock," offering acceptable meals and drinks, is also convenient. The fitness […] room should be larger and with more equipment; having looked at it, we decided it is not worth the effort to go there. The closeness to the Space Needle in easy walking distance made is very easy to have an exceptional dinner up there without having to worry about getting there and back. The staff in the hotel was generally very friendly. At the reception, most of them were very knoweldgeable and helpful. However, when I made arrangement for the transport to the airport, there was a problem in that the staff member thought it would be o.k. to leave at 12:45. To be on the safe side, I asked for a car at 12:30 instead. At 12:30 no car was there, and a little later I asked for a taxi. When the taxi finally came, the car also arrived - obviously, it had been order for 12:45. I considered this as very negative. When we got to the airport, the line at security was very long; we barely made it to our flight with only a few minutes redundancy. The fact that the reception staff member did not order the car at the requested time but at the time she deemed appropriate was a big negative. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Amazing hotel for a honeymoon!!"
The Maxwell Hotel was simply fantastic. My wife and I stayed for 5 nights and absolutely loved every minute of it! Check in was ridiculously simple and our room was ready about an hour ahead of schedule. We asked the concierge desk a multitude of questions, from breakfast recommendations to navigating Seattle's public transportation, and each time they […] were extremely friendly and pointed us in the right direction. I can't say enough about all of the staff at this hotel. The Maxwell is a bit further from downtown than some other hotels, but trust me, this was a non-issue when it came to getting around. Plus, the Queen Anne neighborhood that the hotel is located in was gorgeous! So green and lush, not to mention how quiet the area was when we just wanted to relax. "Clean, comfortable and a good value."
Clean, comfortable hotel, just one block from the Seattle Center. A boutique hotel, we stayed Thursday through Saturday in May 2013, and were able to walk across the Seattle Center to the Monorail for transport to downtown and, via light rail, to SeaTac. Parked in the hotel lot and ate at The Rock, a very good pizza restaurant adjacent to the lobby. […] Nothing memorable about the hotel, but it was clean, comfortable and conveniently located, and the staff was courteous and helpful. I would rate it as a 4.5 out of 5, and a reasonably good value in Seattle hotels. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good stay, not perfect"
I would recommend the Maxwell Hotel! I picked this hotel because of the free wifi and the free parking so the complimentary IN ROOM wireless access and the free parking were the BEST. I never lost my signal and never had to search for a place for my car. Also, the location was central and easy to access the rest of the city. My room was well appointed, […] designed and clean. I was impressed as soon as I walked in the room. The staff, though, was just ok. The receptionist spoke a little too fast for me and I felt like she was going through the motions. My key stopped working late at night but the matter was resolved by the morning. The other staff were helpful but not overly friendly. Sue me if I want a bit of fabricated warmth! The main problem I had with the Maxwell Hotel was this: noisy, hardwood floors. I am a very light sleeper, unfortunately, and the person above my room walked very noisily, so much so that I woke up a couple of times due to the constant back and forth. I called the front desk to have them call the person, which solved the problem. The logo is a pineapple, which is charming and I appreciated the coffee and cupcakes which were served from 5-7pm each day. That extra coffee came in handy and lots of guests took advantage of it! I didn't take advantage of any other of the hotel's perks. The price was a bit more than what I wanted to pay but I was glad I made the choice to pay a bit more. If you are not a light sleeper you will certainly enjoy your stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not Bad...good location..."
The Hotel was fine. The Pineapple Group owns four hotels in Seattle. We were bumped from our original hotel which was Hotel 5 and stayed in this hotel. I think that this hotel was in a better neighborhood than Hotel 5. There seemed to b less pan handlers there. It is about a ten minute walk to the Space Needle and several museums. Several restuarants […] were located on our street too. There is a small indoor pool and workout room and free parking in the hotel's garage which is secured by a gate. I was not crazy about the food at the hotel, but that's just me. I find a lot of restaurants have overpriced food that does not taste great. The hotel has two bicycles for loan inside the lobby and keeps umbrellas in the rooms for guests to borrow or buy as well. Overall we had a good experiance in the hotel. Between 3-7pm they serve free coffee and pinapple cupcakes in the lobby. There is also a little breakfast service, but I did not try it-- looked okay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The staff was wonderful, and very helpful. Great location, you can walk to a ton of places. There are delicious restaurants all over the area.
