We really enjoyed our stay. The lines were not very long to get on the rides. The lifeguards were very watchful. We were given free Wi-fi. The restaurants were close. There was no need to leave the hotels. However, if you decided to leave and tour outside Chula Vista, outside attractions are less than 10 minutes away. My boys enjoyed the water park a lot. Room was nice, TV had problems, which was a problem for my TV watching husband. Breakfast at buffet was totally over-priced, and not very good.

I was pleasantly surprised by the resort. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean!! The restaurant offerings were sufficient. The buffet was good and offered several kid friendly choices. A bit pricey though. If you want good coffee, do not go to the Starbucks in the hotel. They have limited favors and capabilities and were short staffed. […] The indoor water park was great. They were very busy when we were there and they kept it clean and staffed with lifeguards. This resort is NOT a 3.5 star resort. the rooms are clearly stuck in the early 90's decor and they are just plain ugly. the bathroom sink is outside of the bathroom and the soap, shampoo, conditioner are in dispenser usually found in public washrooms. What is up with the 10:30 am checkout?? Make it at 11:30 so people can have their kids enjoy the pool […] once.more before they leave. the room service dude kept.pressuring us to leave early. He knocked at 9 am and again at 9:30 am which is when I bluntly requested him to return after checkout time. This place might be better in the summer time but I decided to make a stop here when it was still cold for their indoor water park. it would be a decent price at 90 per night for winter time - no more. I was very disappointed with the lunch buffet in the lobby. The service was terrible the waitresses And waiters were fighting over who got to go home rather Then being eager and friendly at taking Our table. The hot springs hot tub was awesome!

Check in time was 4 and we arrived early in hopes to beat the rush (being we have 2 kids under the age of 2) and were hoping to possibly get in early. We were told 30-45 minutes initially, then an hour and a half later they were just telling us that we would be in by 4:00 for sure. We didn't get in till 4:30 - it was a nightmare and by then the waiting […] area was jam packed. Then we got to the condo and there was a huge wet spot on the carpet and sticky spots on the kitchen tile. Service across the board was very slow. We ordered pizza, they told us 45 - 1 hour wait and it came 1 hr and 15 minutes later. We asked for a cot and 20 minutes later they called to tell us they were out. We called for a luggage cart and 20 minutes later decided just to take it down ourselves. The condo itself and resort were nice, but I will probably look at other resorts just based on slow, inefficient customer service. Read more

We arrived at an off time of year on a Sunday afternoon and it took 45 minutes to check us in for a room.Line for check in was 54 people long. They had 3 open computers at the checkin counter not being utilized. Many of the people in line were very agitated. Once we finally got our luggage into the room, we went down to the waterpark and before we knew […] it the whistles were blowing telling us to get out of the waterpark. They only stay open until 8:00 at night and then to find out that they don't even open up the waterpark until 10:00am. We barely got any use out of the waterpark because they were not open that long. The last straw for us was at 9:15 in the morning we got 2 knocks on our door and then our door opens. It was the cleaning crew ready to clean our room. That infuriated us that they would walk into our room well before the checkout time was even reached. This was a horrendous experience for us and as we have stayed at all of the major hotel/waterparks in the Dells, this was by far the worst experience we've had. We went there because we got a good deal on the room rate and now we will never return. Also, it is so far off the beaten path that there are no restaurants or tourist life anywhere nearby. It's about a 6- 7 minute drive to get back to the downtown area. The other larger indoor waterparks are a much better option and and you are close to everything else that there is to do in the Dells. The room was super nice and clean. The only compliant was that the room was freezing. The heater clearly did not work. We turned it off and turned it back on but it still was not getting warm at all. It blew out cold air the entire time we were there and when you are soaked from the water park it was not fun to freezing in the room.

We arrived on a Friday...check in was easy although later in the day and on Saturday there were very long lines to check in with minimal staff to move it along quickly. The lifeguards at the waterpark were all young kids but they were friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Chula Vista to families.

Our "baby" celebrates his 25th birthday 10 days after our stay at Chula Vista. In honor of this milestone, his 2 older sisters (ages 28 and 30), who live in neighboring states, arranged to surprise him by coming into town to 'kidnap' him for a surprise weekend of fun. Mom decided a Chula Vista family suite would be the best size for 5 adults, and we […] were pleasantly surpised to see that it had a separate bedroom with a king size bed for Mom and Dad. There were 2 double/queen beds and a pull-out sofa, so each kid had their own bed, although oldest sister and baby brother ended up sharing a bed part of the night, because the sofa sleeper slept like a sofa sleeper. The accommodations were quite nice, although it would have been helpful to have an extra bathroom and the traditional (non-flatscreen) TV in the separate bedroom had some quality issues affecting the picture across the top of the screen. Communication between Expedia and Hotel definitely should be improved. Customer should not suffer from lack of communication. They should not redirect customer back and forth and make the customer call few times each of them to resolve the issue, especially if booking was done more than 2 month ahead. Stay was okay...couldn't get a tube for the lazy river so had to "walk" the river to find open tubes (as that is what the life guard told us to do that). Then the Pull out couch in our room did not have sheets, blankets or pillows. Had to call house keeping for the stuff we were missing and it took two calls to get the sheets for the pull out couch […] as they brought everything the first time but forgot the sheets so had to come back a second time. If you go in winter, you ll need to walk a lot inside to get to the water park. The restrooms are wet and there is not room to change you have to do that in the toilet room.

There is a lot of competition in the Wisconsin Dells area for large resort hotels, I have been to nicer ones in the area. The hotel was decent and the staff was friendly, my room looked as though it hasn't been updated in awhile.

Location is out of the way. The condos are nice, but the rest of the hotel seems to need some TLC. Rooms are noisy - sliding glass doors sould like furniture moving. Air conditioner units act as amplifiers, you can hear all of the noise from the room next door. We were up until 4 am with the partiers and up again at 7 am with the little kids screaming. […] Water park slides were closed or being fixed after waiting an hour. The resort is 2-3 miles out of town which was not much of a problem for us but may be for some. Our 2 room suite was on the 4th floor with balcony overlooking the river and was more spacious than expected.The room, bedding and bathroom were very clean. I booked a junior suite with Expedia.I paid with my mother-in-low credit card...When we got there we realized that she forgot her wallet with the ID and CC at home. Light switches locations were confusing and in a couple of cases we never did understand what they operated. Fan in bathroom did not actually work. It made a tremendous amount of noise, but did not actually suck air. I went so far as to try to get it to hold a piece of toilet paper up against the plastic and it failed. The resort is set in the beautiful woods, high up on the cliffs alongside the river. The little wave pool in back has a beautiful tropical feel, and we hung out for hours drinking yummy tropical drinks. The room was very nice and staff was very friendly. The hotel itself was good but our room was horrible. It smelled like wt carpet/mildue the entire weekend we were there. My husband even thought it smelled like cat. Both my husband & myself along with our 16 month daughter have horrible allergies. Next trip we might just use the water park at the hotel and stay somewhere else.
