Very nice hotel. Conveniently close to Hull but much nicer locale. Only complaints--no clock/clock radio in the room and no thermostat so we found the room got very warm but luckily we could open the windows. The staff were very polite and helpful. The food was very good--we had a couple of breakfasts and one late night meal. I have stayed at this hotel on several occcasions. Rooms are clean and tidy altough lack individual heating control which can make it difficult to regulate the temperature. Anyone who wants to go to Hull, we recommend this hotel because it's near the roundabout that leads to Hull and it's near the Humber Bridge. In fact, the lobby that leads to the rooms had a glass panel that shows the bridge. The hotel was quite good although i don't think there's a lift so carrying a large luggage would be difficult. Literally at the side of the bridge with fantastic views. Near to the A63 if you wanted to go to Leeds or Hull or the A15 for going South. Hotel very comfortable and service very good eventhough they were catering for a wedding.

Stayed here after a friends wedding held in the hotel, although it was't out of this world it was much better than the price we paid. My only criticism would be the bar prices which were very high and varied depending on which member of staff served you.

Ive stayed at this hotel a few times even though it is 6 miles from my work place I'm happy to have the 20 min journey to work to have the comforts of this hotel. The excellent transport links straight onto a63 into Hull or M62 Leeds. Hotel has been modernised and definately deserves its 4 star rating and is very reasonably priced. The hotel was lovely, very well decorated. I was booked to stay in an executive room but on arrival i had been allocated a ground floor room which i am not comfitable about when travelling on my own, so requested an upper floor room. However it seems the room was just a standard room and i wasnt informed about that on check in. I asked spoke to the […] receptionist in the morning who did appologise, it would have been nice to have that pointed out to me as I had paid extra for the excecutive room. Our stay at the Hallmark was a wonderful experience ,the rooms were welcoming ,clean and cosy.The staff were polite and helpful.There are some lovely views of the Humber from the veranda even though it was November.the hotel is in an ideal position just outside the city centre, definitely a good time had by all!

The hotels new refurbishment looks brilliant! Prices were good, the food in the restaurant was really nice! But there a few things that let the hotel down, we paid more for an executive room and having stayed there before in a double room there was no noticeable difference. The bedroom was extremely hot, no bed covers were required and there was no […] way of cooling the room down except for opening the window and closing the bathroom door (the radiator was in there). We also had a mix up with the starter at the brassiere, Being polite I didn't ask for a replacement starter as it was partially my fault not just the waitresses. The meal was great and the mix up wasn't a problem until the waitress complained loudly about me and the mix up to another member of staff whilst i was in earshot. I thought this was completely unprofessional and unreasonable as i didn't make a fuss, complain all i did was ask the waitress to take the starter away. I would stay there again because other than the waitress the other staff were brilliant and polite and the others problems can avoided by booking a double room instead of an executive room and taking a fan. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and excellent value for money i would stay there again just for that! Read more

We had a very enjoyable stay at this Hotel, we had just dropped our daughter off at University and had a chill out evening. We had dinner, bed and breakfast and the food was first class. The wine that was in our room, on arrival, was one of the nicest red wines I have ever tasted.......I'm looking for a local supplier !! This was a great hotel for my early morning meeting in Hull; it was really easy to find and the view over the Humber Bridge was lovely on a sunny evening. Staff were very friedly and accommodating and free wi-fi is a big plus for a business visit. i usually stay at another well-known chain of budget hotels and this made a really nice change!
