Jetty Motel - Cape May

This is a basic motel and you get what you pay for. If you are fussy and used to staying in 4 and 5-star hotels, this isn't for you. But if you want a great value, clean room, friendly service and close to beach, this is a good choice. Lot's of parking, nice pool and easy to get to the beach.

For a discount hotel in a prime location, this place is on par. Right at the end of Beach Ave & just steps from the ocean, the surrounding area is usually pretty quiet. The king rooms on the first floor are spacious enough, and they contain a small kitchenette w/ microwave & mini-fridge. The rooms are slightly outdated, but none as much as the ~16" […] tube tv included in the amenities. Unfortunately, the beds are extremely hard & uncomfortable, and we found it nearly impossible to sleep. The beach construction (occurring all nite & through the morning when we left) was also very much to blame. Personally, I would not revisit this hotel, even under better circumstances. Room was clean and had comfortable king size bed. The pillows were not comfortable. There was a nightstand and lamp on only one side of the bed. We are both readers, but without light, not possible for second person to read in bed. Also no lamp on dresser so applying makeup had to wait until bathroom was free and mirror unfogged from shower. There was […] a coffee pot but no coffee available in room. Office provided coffee, but did not open until 9:00. We are early risers and would have appreciated coffee when we got up. Next time we will know to bring our own. Location was great. directly across street from beach at far South end. Office staff and cleaning people were pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again. Ideal location just one block from the cove overlooking Cape May lighthouse. Steps from the beach, very short drive to restauraants & shops. Room was neat. Only thing to look out for is the shower switch-iit's hard to pull the switch out to turn it off. I spoke to mgmt about that & they are working on it. The biggest problem was lack of water pressure in the bathroom. Also no amenities in the room at all, no coffee maker, tiny microwave and loud refer. TV remote didn't work either. Don't stay here. It was cheap and rightly so.

This motel was not a bells and whistles motel, and we did not have a coffee maker or microwave. It did have a fridge. This was a bare bones motel as far as I could see,and if you just needed a place to spend a night it was satisfactory but I would not want to make it my vacation location.

The Jetty Motel is located at the southernmost point in New Jersey right across the street from the ocean. The staff was friendly and even accommodated our late check-in (although guests checking in after 8 pm or so should call the hotel ahead time to make arrangments). Nice room in a great beachside location. Great for nature lovers that love being near the wildlife refuge and point state park with lighthouse. It's farther from the restaurants and downtown stuff than some other places, so if that's important to you, stay somewhere more in the center of the action.

The Jetty Hotel is a nice, clean no-frills motel in a perfect locaton. Located at the south end of the beach in Cape May, it is far enough from the hustle and bustle further up the beach, yet close enough to walk to any restaurant along Beach Avenue and vicinity. Of the 5 days we spent in Cape May, we left the car in the parking lot 2 of them. Leave […] the room and your on the beach in 2 minutes. The hotel is clean and the staff was very friendly. The pool area is clean and comfortable with plenty of seating. The AC worked fine and kept the room comfortable. The TV is very small but served it's purpose. I guess the same can be said about the fridge, One thing they can use in the room is somewhere to hang wet towels and bathing suits - the place is on the beach. One negative was the mattress - it was way too hard, but I guess some folks would like that. If staying at the Jetty during the summer peak, be prepared to navigate through a dozen or so kids bikes and scooters on the grounds. It seemed to be a very popular family motel. But I must say the families who we encountered were very pleasant and the kids were very well behaved. I guess we got lucky. We stayed on the first floor, but next time I will try for the 2nd floor as the view must be great. Make sure you see the nightly flag lowering at the pavilion on the beach at sunset. Also, the Cape May Light is a nice healthy walk from the motel. Oh, and by he way, the restaurant next door is a dump. Again, I would go back to the Jetty anytime. Read more

I was on a trip to Jersey from N.C. to pick up a piece of equipment and booked this place at the last minute. At the price I paid, I thought it would just be a place to lay my head down but Wow was I surprised!! The colonial district was amazing and the restaurant I went to was excellent. The beach and board walk were across the street. the staff was very pleasant, the room cleaner than what i was used to and i was able to walk 100 yards to the very end of new jersey. if there was one complaint it was with a fixture in the shower and they promised that they would take care of it. overall my stay was very pleasant. thank you!
