I liked the location of the hotel which was by the center of the city. I also like the service of all their staff. I felt safe at all times. I would go back anytime again.

The hotel fullfilled our requirements for a clean comfortable stay during our stay in Merida where we were working, not a luxury place but clean and comfortable, reasonable price.

This hacienda is not where it is shown on the map on the Hotels.com information. It is about 10 kilometers further north in the small village of Temazon and is not on the east side of the town of Abala. It is well signposted on MX highway 261.
Location.
Situated in the heart of Merida, Hotel Marionetas is close to Plaza Grande. Additional area attractions include Yucatan Siglo XXI and Plaza Altabrisa.
Hotel Features.
A complimentary manager's reception is available on select days and guests are offered a complimentary breakfast. In addition to an outdoor pool and a concierge desk, Hotel Marionetas features multilingual staff. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas. The staff can arrange tour/ticket assistance and translation services. Additional amenities at this Victorian property include a garden, a media library, and a fireplace in the lobby. For a surcharge, guests have access to an area shuttle within 600 metres. Guest parking is complimentary. This is a smoke-free property. A total renovation of this property was completed in March 2004.
Guestrooms.
Rooms feature balconies with pool or garden views. The 8 air-conditioned guestrooms at Hotel Marionetas include fireplaces and laptop-compatible safes. Beds have Tempur-Pedic mattresses, Frette Italian sheets, down blankets, and premium bedding. Complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access is provided. 14-inch plasma televisions are equipped with cable channels and free movie channels. "Great staff and lovely small hotel"
We stayed at Marionettas for 9 nights and found it to be a real bargain and a pleasurable and accommodating environment. The staff was outstanding and very helpful and the owner was charming. While small, everything was very pretty from the central courtyard, pool and gardens to the large and well tended rooms. We met visitors from all over the world […] and really enjoyed making so many new friends. The location is within easy walking distance of the Central Square and Passeo Montejo and we recommend it to anyone going to Merida. Read more

"Hotel Marionetas"
This Hotel was Great! The Staff was very helpful and made us feel at Home. Helped with Cab to Airport at 5;00 IN THE MORNING. The Breakfast was fantastic. Would go back again. Also recommend it to my Friends.

"A hidden jewel in Merida's centro historico"
The lobby as well as the rooms of the hotel are charming and extremely clean. The beautifully landscaped courtyard contains the serving area and adjacent kitchen which are quiet and pleasant, a welcome refuge from the busy surrounding area. The pool is rather small but very clean and nice. The staff are friendly, attentive, and extremely helpful. They […] patiently helped me with problems I had making outgoing calls, and when asked to recommend a good restaurant nearby, sent us to the "chaya maya", within walking distance and by far our favorite restaurant not only in Merida, but in all of Mexico. "Charming Hotel"
Merida is a truly wonderful city in the heart of the Yucatan and Hotel Marionetas is a gem. The rooms are large, well-appointed and very comfortable. Decorated nicely but without a lot of clutter. The service is lovely and the breakfast/garden area is a wonderful way to start your day.

"Marionettas in Merida"
We stayed 4 nights and we were very pleased with this little oasis in the middle of Merida. It was very calm, beautiful and they had such a friendly staff. The hotel is located at 5 minutes walk from the center plaza.

Petit Hotel de 8 chambres,très charmant. Nous étions dans la chambre 7: très bien équipée ( clim, grand lit, frigo, coin salon). "Sehr gemütliches kleines Hotel in der Altstadt"
Das Hotel ist sehr gemütlich und stilvoll, sauber und gepflegt, in einer guten Lage. Es gibt einen zum Hotel gehörenden bewachten Parkplatz. Der Innenhof ist sehr hübsch. Es gibt einen Pool mit mehreren Liegen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und liebevoll zubereitet.

"Calida precio espectacular"
Genial hotel en cuanto a su aspecto. Habitaciones espaciosas y muy bonitas. El único pero a ponerle es que no hay puerta en el lavabo y resta intimidad si se comparte la habitación con otra persona... Un poco más de presión en el agua de la ducha tampoco estaría mal.

Nous sommes repartis enchantés de notre séjour de Mérida et notamment grâce à l'hôtel Marionetas. Si on peut regretter l'emplacement légèrement excentré, le reste est au point. La chambre que nous avons eu était très propre et bien équipé, l'hôtel est bien entretenu le petit déjeuner était à la fois bon et bien proportionné, et le tout pour un prix […] tout à fait raisonnable. Typical and charming hotel...so pretty!!! Lovable fusion of Mexican and Maroccain style/furniture. Nice swimming pool and very friendly staff. I definetly recommend it!

"Hotel Marionetas: very nice but..."
The hotel is very nice. Property is small and well-kept. Very appreciated the internal pool. Everything is clean and the breakfast is tasty though not abundant. Unfortunately several rooms in the hotel are next to a very noisy hydraulic pump, which makes quite difficult to relax and sleep at night.
