"Perfect place, perfect holiday."
The houses are comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed being just us under the stars in our "own" pool. What an experience. The food is great at the restaurant, though we found the breakfast being too pricy. The roomservice is quick, and we found the whole staff being very very kind to us. Special thanks to Lek, Eve and Tom. We were surprised to see that […] the beach was not dirty at all (we read in several reviews that it was poluted). Some of the houses are located just next to each other, so some times you can easily hear your neighbors, this is the only negative thing we can say about the place. We will come back.
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Magisk sted, usentralt."
Dusj under åpen himmel. Super eksotisk. Anbefales hardt.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room is great. However the facility in the hotel is not enough. The choice of food in restaurant must need to improve.
"Saree Samui - definetily relaxing"
Enjoyed our stay a lot. Cosy and quiet resort and neighbourhood. Excellent service (e.g. arranged a shower room to us on our check-out day 'cause our flight took off in the evening). Only minus was that the thai food menu of the restaurant could be better for spicy food lover and pesco-vegetarian. The quality of food, though, was excellent.
"A bit of paradise found!"
We stayed at Saree Samui for 4 nights in July and absolutely loved it! It is 4-star hotel but the service, rooms and atmosphere is outstanding. The pool was large and we enjoyed laying on the deck with the beautiful view of the pool and beach. We stayed in a Tropical Villa which was very comfortable and nice and by far the best room we had during our […] holiday. We stayed at two different 5-star hotels after Saree Samui but must say that we liked this hotel the best. Also the prices of the restaurant and minibar were very reasonable in comparison to other 4-5-star hotels that often charge insanely high prices for Thailand. The restaurant has tables on the beach where you can have your feet in the sand while enjoying your dinner and it was beautiful. The hotel made the best PadThai ever! Just outside the hotel there are some local restaurants with great food and also some cheap places for massage and rent of mopeds. A taxi to the Fishermans Village is very cheap and takes only 15 min if one wants some more restaurant options and crowds. The only negative thing about Saree Samui is that the sad of the beach outside the hotel is quite rough. Very beautiful but not the best quality of sand. We did not mind though as the pool area was great and we could still have dips in the sea. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Little bit of paradise!"
07/29/14 Heather D
My partner and I stayed at the Saree Samui for 12 nights late June/early July. The hotel was everything we expected and more. We upgraded to a tropical pool villa before we arrived and it was definitely worth the extra money, the main pool closes at 7pm so it was nice to have our own pool to go in whenever we wanted (most evenings when we got back drunk). We even ended up getting upgraded again by the hotel to a beach view pool villa, free of charge. The room and private pool were cleaned daily and we have no complaints about cleanliness. We loved the outdoor bathroom and I even had a bath in the huge tub one day! The hotel was was so expensive compared to outside the hotel we didn't drink much at the bar. Breakfast was always good. Food in the hotel restaurant was also very tasty. All of the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great location - tucked away from the busy road but still only a short stroll to the local bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. There are some fantastic restaurants close by Johns Garden and Khun Anna were our favourites. We drank in Mays bar (turn left at the top main road) as the staff in there were great. Maenam beach was actually very disappointing for myself as it wasn't as clean as other beaches on the island. The water was not very clean, compare it with Chaweng and there really is no contest! Watch out for jellyfish too, if you can see them in the murky water! Pool area was lovely and peaceful, good quality sun loungers available although maybe a little dated. Would definitely return to this hotel in the future and would also definitely recommend to anyone. Oh and watch out for the frogs when you're walking through the gardens at night!
"A LITTLE GEM"

Just back from staying 18 nights at the Saree Samui,(room 318) we had a fantastic time .the hotel has a great location on one of the nicest beaches on Koh Samui no rubbish or litter and the sea is nice and clean to swim in , The pool area was also very relaxing with plenty of sun loungers to choose from no matter what time of day,The room /villas we stayed in was very spacious with a outside bathroom and semi open lounge area ,the bedroom was a good size to ,my only criticism of the bedroom was lack of wardrobe and drawer space, breakfast was included in are package there was a good choice of food .Outside the hotel approximate 5 minutes walk there are plenty of little restaurants to choose from, we dined at Johns Garden restaurant 3 or 4 times it was always very good . Sonya and Philip's restaurant in the same area served some of the best Thai food we have ever had in Thailand ,you must try the crispy duck in red curry . on the beach 400 metres to the right of the hotel is a little beach restaurant called Cocorico a great place to have a few sundowners and a bowl of Tom Yum Goon soup. One of the best things about the Saree Samui is the staff ,they are very helpful and always smiling , I would like to thank Lilly - Lek - M - and all of the rest of the staff at the Saree Samui for making this one of are best holidays in Thailand. hope to see you all again soon

What a fantastic location, beach beside the resort and very friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. Happy hour at the pool was always entertaining. Rooms were well presented and cleaned daily. Thank you Lily, Beau, Lek, Wee, Ros and Noy
"good but not perfect"
06/16/14 ManondenH Amsterdam, The Netherlands
We had a wonderful holiday at this resort. The gardens are amazing, the pool location is gorgeous and its a real quiet place. The spa is fantastic! But we did have some things that could be better. - the room wasn't really cleaned properly. For the prices they charge i would at least excpect them to arrange the pillows on the couch and make it look nice, but they didnt and often they didnt take all the garbage. The wooden floor of the outside area got dusty and dirty from walking on it, but not once did they mob the floor. I often had the feeling that all they did was make the bed... - the pool area was really in need of a renovation. The wooden floorboards were broken or sticking out and loose, it was not really safe for our little son. - the poolwater didn't smell clean - because of low season staff didnt always have much to do so there were many times that they were hanging around in a group and talking and just joking around with eachother.. the fact that they did this in front of hotek guests didnt really come across as professional. - thai people love children and the staff loved our little boy, which was very sweet, but at some times, like during breakfast, it wasnt really apropriate since we were trying to have a nice family breakfast but every 2 minutes another staff member wanted to play with our son... Now some positive things - we had some problems with our airconditioning and with power in the room, this was very nicely solved. We even got a nice apology letter and fruitplate and a complimentary transfer to the pier on departure. - while we were there a new hotel manager arrived, a thai lady from bangkok. She was very good! Friendly but professional! I think with her guidance, the hotel has great possibillities! - the spa was very good! We went twice for the oil massage and it was lovely! Its more expensive then outside the hotel, but we found that it was worth it! - walking distance, towards the main road, there are reataurants and some bars and shops. We ate at a place called Pooms place, by mr Lek. We went there every night, the thai food is the best! Try the panang curry! But he also makes a really good burger! And his wife is so sweet. Its not expensive at all and really good food! All and all we had a nice stay, and we might come back next year!
"Short stay holiday"
06/14/14 Deni J London, United Kingdom
We stayed at Saree Samui for three nights in June . It was end of the busy season so the hotel was very quiet. The resort is tucked away from the main road so it is very quiet and you could relax without being disturbed by a street noise. The location is not bad as it is very easy to get around. The main road with plenty of little shops is just a short stroll down the road. Hotel also offers taxi service however the local taxis outside of the resort are much cheaper. We have stayed in the hotel's standard room (bungalow) which was nice. However the walls need repainting and bathroom which was outside could do with deep cleaning. The room had nice outside seating area. There was also CD player in our room which I think was a nice touch. The pool area was nice but decking and some of the sun chairs need updating. The hotel is right on the beach therefore you are not limited to pool only. Beach is nice and clean. There is also pool bar which offers cocktails and food. The cocktails were nice but the presentation could be slightly better. The restaurant is overlooking the beach and it is very nice and comfortable. The food was very nice and the hotel special lunch deals were good value for money. The spa was nice and clean. The spa staff is professional and well trained in their profession. I had a nice massage and I highly recommend to try it out. The hotel offered 15 minutes free so it gives you opportunity to try them first before paying for a full treatment. The hotel staff was nice and trying hard for their guests to feel comfortable. Only downside was that they were trying to sell their special deals very hard and on an occasion it made us feel hustled. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay.
"Excellent hotel, in a great setting"
We've just returned from an excellent stay at the Saree Samui. All the positive comments in the other reviews are spot on and based on our experience we have no idea why this place has received some negative comments / reviews. We found the setting excellent. It is situated on a quite lane with plenty of bars and restaurants within short walking distance and the excellent Fishermans Village a 5 min taxi ride away if you want something more lively. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were great, housekeeping was excellent and of course the setting is amazing, with the pool, bar and restaurant overlooking a peaceful beach with views towards Koh Phanangn. We travelled as a family with 3 children (4-8 age range). Thank you Saree Samui for an excellent holiday, highly recommended.
"A bit far of, but no regrets"
We visited the resort for our honeymoon, and the resort delivered in every way. We took a private pool room, the resort welcomed us beautifully, set up our room with flowers, cake and extra amenities. The staff was always smiling and never said no. The hotel was on the beach and the beach was clean and serene. The infinity pool was exceptional with a pool bar. The breakfast was sea side and the restaurant was beautiful in the evenings with a spectacular seaview. Every night while walking to our room we could see a few frogs jumping around on the pathway. The hotel pathway was beautifully decked up with flowers and the resort was amazingly clean and the staff was extremely warm. Well the only thing was that the resort is located in Mae-nam, Its about 20 mins bike ride from chewang, which is the nightlife and shopping area of Koh-Samui. Apart from that the whole drive at night was beautiful. The highway is full of bars on the way back. Ever the lane in which the hotel is located has amazing bars, with brilliant music, food and pool tables, and a dog named-TOKO. This resort made our whole trip exceptional and the amazing. I would recommend this resort to anyone going to Koh Samui. I had recommended this resort to a couple of my friends who went for their honeymoon here and they also had the same experience as us.
"The most amazing holiday !"
05/22/14 hettie k Parys, South Africa
This a one of the nicest places I've been to in Thailand ! Away from the busy centre of Koh Samui but still close enough for supper in town or night out. Saree is beautiful, scenic, on the beach, great service from the staff, excellent food & value for money. There is also nice restaurants within walking distance or else we travelled by scooter to nearby places. We stayed in a tropical Villa with own splash pool, very nice for evening swims & a definite for romantic couples !
"Paradise at the end of a long road"
05/09/14 Karen C Wellington, New Zealand
If you are looking for a slice of paradise where you just want to stay put and relax, you will find it here. The whole complex is beautifully landscaped and well appointed including where the spa is situated. The infinity pool which overlooks the sea and immaculate beach is long enough to do lengths and big enough to not feel crowded. Rooms are stunning and very private as mentioned by others. The outdoor bathroom is a pleasant surprise including the sunken bath in the garden which would be perfect for a romantic soak if it ever got cold enough! A mosquito coil was supplied and 'ignited' in the room and we had no problem with insects. The staff and service were exceptional. The only downside is the location and proximity to other activities; we had to walk 45 minutes to the Thursday night market (along the road which had very little happening along the way) also, the beach restaurants recommended by TA are quite a walk away down the beach. However, try John's Garden 200m up the road- the food is outstanding!

We loved the villa with outside bathroom. We felt one with nature. The staff was also very helpfull. The food was great! The hotel was not at all dated as other people commented. It was decorated very nice and the bose soundsystem was the finishing touch.
