"LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This little hotel has location, location, location! It is less than 5-10 minutes walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, & Tempolo Adriano. It is about 15-20 minutes from the Coliseum, the Forum, and Vittoria Emmanuelle, around 25-30 minutes from Piazza del Popolo, and a half hour from the Vatican. Seconds away from the main artery Via Del Corso, you can’t get a better location for a more reasonable price. The front desk staff is wonderful and Tomosso in particular will not hesitate to recommend the best restaurants and tell you how to get to all the sites within Rome. He recommended fabulous restaurants and mapped out a walkable itinerary of sites daily for us. If you don’t care to walk, the hop on hop off bus is two minutes away. What really sets this hotel apart is the 5th floor outside deck with a panoramic view which is used for breakfast in the morning and a possible night cap at night. What a way to start and end a day. It was beyond gorgeous and really a delightful highlight to a memorable stay in Rome. The rooms are big enough to accommodate two easily and are clean and neat. The only difficulty I encountered was that I was unable to connect to Wi-Fi but instead used the downstairs computer. Some of the rooms on the upper floors are only accessible by a short stairway which is difficult with heavy luggage. Other than that, our stay was perfect and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Excellent, convenience to airport was essential.

We did not get information that payment by card was not accepted. The breakfast was poor, bread from yesterday, cerials too sweet. The juice was more like lemonade than fruit-juice.
"Would stay there again"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Had a great experience. Our triple room was clean and bed very comfortable, including pillows. 40 inch hd tv with all the sky channels with the options to switch to English language. Filled a form with time and choices for breakfast . Arrived on time and plenty of food. ( Italian style breakfast) . Front desk nice and helpful. Near American embassy, hard rock cafe' , villa borghese park( very nice!) . Would stay there again and reccomand it to friends and family

Room was so small that we could barely walk around the bed and there were no drawers in which to put clothes. The buffet breakfast, however, was outstanding and the location very convenient. Front desk staff could be friendlier. The room was much smaller than the photo for that level of accommodation

If you want a hotel that is relatively inexpensive (by Rome's standards) and you don't mind dragging your stuff way out to the end of the Metro line, and then walking a half-mile or so to find the hotel, then there are worse places to stay. The hotel is located in a working class residential area, so if your main concern is easy access to Rome's many […] attractions and amenities, then this is not the ideal place. If you're looking to save money and sleep comfortably, then it's not too bad, In all fairness, the rooms are bright, clean, comfortable, and fairly new, and the free Wireless is also a point in its favor. Still, given the lack of any good restaurants within easy walking distance, I'll stay much closer to the city center the next time I come to Rome. Read more
"Park Hotel Ginerva-excellent quality"
This hotel should is clean and should be a higher star quality hotel with a remarkably cheap price. Only downfall is it's location. It's located about 1/2 mile from the nearest metro Battastini which is the last stop on the A line. They have a shuttle only at certain times. I would stay here again.
"Metro start...Park Hotel Ginevra, Rome, italy"
Although the place was European size, small bath room and main room, it was very well kept along with the rest of the hotel. It was spotless and extremly clean. The staff was helpful in answering questions. The hotel is located in a very quiet area where all one can hear on the open terrace on top of the hotel roof is the birds singing and the light […] breeze making its way through the trees...zero public or automobile noise...even throughout the hotel there is no noise . The view is grand for sipping a little wine after a long day of site seeing. You'll sleep very peacefully afterwards ( not sure if it's the wine or the tranqulity of the place...you be the judge). The breakfast is super in a five star ambience setting. Locating the place can be a little testing. Once you get off at the end on Metro Line "B" at Battistini the street (via) will be Mattia Battistini. Turn left on Via Mattia Battistini towards Via Di Boccea. Keep going down that street until you hit Via Di Boccea ,about 100 yards, this is a four lane, very busy street. Once you hit Via Di Boccea turn left on it and walk down about 50 yards to a Q8 gas station. At the intersection of Via Di Boccea and Via Sorriso , where the gas station is, walk up Via Soriso. There is a brown information sign pointing you up towards Park Hotel Ginevra. Walk towards that direction pass Via Peveragno,... pass Via Della Divina Providenza...pass the school building... up to Via S. Giovanni Della Croce. Before you hit this street you'll get tempted to stop but keep going around the turn and you will see another brown information sign pointing up the hill towards the hotel. The hotel is just about a football field and a half distance away from the sign. This last leg will be a 30 degree incline. The walking distance from the metro exit to the hotel front door is about one mile over slightly uneven pavement. It can be done on rolling luggage as we did. But then again my wife and I like challenges and we ejoy walking cause one ge Read more
"Park Hotel Ginevra - Tucked Away In A Good Way"
Although out of the way, the Park Hotel Ginevra is in more of a residential neighborhood than most hotels. It is a modern, clean hotel that seems geared for the business traveler. The rooms are clean and well maintained and make excellent use of their small space. The bathroom is on the small side, even by European standards. The breakfast features […] a nice continental-style spread. There is instant coffee on the buffet; but a cappuccino, hot chocolate, etc., can be made for you at the bar per your request. The hotel is a 15-minute walk to the Metro (subway) station, and is the last stop for the A train. There is never more than a 1 minute wait for the train. It is either there or about to arrive. The subway is only about 10 minutes away from the major sites. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood that is a refreshing break from the craziness of the main attractions. Read more

"Great Hotel - just as nice as the pictures"
Brand new. Very clean. Great free breakfast. Friendly Staff. About a 15 minute walk from the last stop on the Red Metro line. A free shuttle service is provided every 30 minutes to/from the metro for about 2 hours in the morning and also again in the evening. Including walk from hotel it's about 45 minutes from hotel to the center of Rome and the Coliseum. […] Room is slightly small by american standards, but much nicer than any other budget hotel I've stayed at in Europe. I would absolutely stay there again the next time I visit Rome. Read more
"Nice place on outskirts of Rome"
We stayed at the Park Hotel Ginevra for 3 nights while we toured Rome prior to a cruise. The area immediately surrounding the hotel is mostly residential and there are few places open after dark aside from a few restaurants. There was a shuttle at the hotel which dropped off in front of a restaurant near the metro station. The metro was actually within […] walking distance although the walk is a bit scary at night. The hotel itself is very nice, especially given the price. I would have rated it 5 *s if not for a few minor annoyances. Good: -Room was very clean, new, modern -Bathroom was also very clean with modern fixtures -Internet was included and the free morning breakfast was actually very good, included an assortment of pastries, cereal, fruits, breads, meats, coffee, etc. -The area around the hotel was very quiet and we had no problem sleeping with window open at night for air -Staff were by no means bilingual although their English was much better than my Italian and they were always friendly Not so good: -This place is close enough to the metro, although it is definitely on the outskirts so cab drivers had some difficulty finding it. -Internet requires room specific code and only allows one device to connect at once (minor annoyance...) -Not much to do within walking distance of hotel -On one night there was a large group of people who all ate breakfast at the same time, it took some time before staff were able to restock food and clear a table -Bed was advertised as a double although was actually two twins pushed together. The gap in between was very annoying Overall I felt the quietness, cleanliness, amenities, and price were worth the longer journey into town and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. "Park Hotel Ginerva in Rome Italy - Good Value"
This hotel is clean, comfortable, and a great value for Rome. I can't say enough good things about the staff. Breakfast was decent,-they even will make you cappaccinos if you like, and the area is actually quiet. One thing to note is that it is a bit of a walk to the nearest Metro Station, through a rather industrial looking area so that may be indimidating […] for some. Closer to the station there are a number of restaurants if you are interested in getting more of a local flavour and away from the high priced tourist areas. The hotel does provide limited shuttle service to and from the station in the evenings. They also provide free and convenient parking. Read more
Hotel was fresh and new. The rooms were a bit small for my taste along with the showers! But the hotel staff was great and extremely helpful. This hotel is far away from city center but about a 10-15 min walk to the metro will get you close to all the sites!

"Park Hotel Ginevra"
This hotel was wonderful! It needs to be a 4 star hotel. Wonderful service, front desk was very helpful in mapping out the locations they even provided me with a map. The room was wonderful big and spacious, extreamly clean, peaceful, Bath room was really nice could have been a little bigger but it was nice. The free morning breakfast was like a meal […] for a king. The marta station is a short walk from hotel plus there are bus stops everywhere. If in Rome stay at Park Hotel Ginevra. "Park Hotel Ginevra"
We chose the Park Hotel Ginevra for our last night in Italy after spending a week at our timeshare in the mountains. The hotel was more than we expected. For 3 adults the room was large and comfortable. It was nice to finally have a TV with some English speaking programs. The staff at the front desk were exceptional. Very friendly and extremely helpful. […] We chose this hotel because the price was reasonable and we wouldn't have to drive into Rome. We arrived early and they let us check in and leave our car in the covered parking lot while we headed into Rome. The shuttle they provide is very convinient when it runs. The only downfall is that it only runs in the morning and then again at night. Leaving the Hotel is easy since the front desk will call you a taxi to the Metro station, the cost aproximate 10 euro. Coming back you need to call for a taxi on your own. The shops around the Metro station were very helpful with phone numbers. I wish we had planned on a longer stay at the Park Hotel Ginevra because it was so nice. We liked the location since we had a car and heeded the warnings of driving in Rome. The Metro was clean and stopped at all the major attractions. We would definetly recommend the Park Hotel Ginevra to anyone traveling to Rome. The price is right, the hotel is beautiful and the location is far enough away from the city noise but close enough so you can visit Rome several times a day. Read more
"A good deal"
I highly recommend getting the hotel's shuttle schedule ahead of time or taking a taxi from the metro station if you have baggage to carry/ pull. While being about a mile from the metro, it is an uphill walk through a sketchy street. The hotel itself is very nice and far enough off the road that I felt safe despite the neighborhood. The room was very […] clean, had a nice bathroom, and the staff was helpful. We enjoyed the stay overall despite some problems with the electricity in our room (possibly caused by our cheapo converters). It's a great deal for Rome! Read more

This is a new hotel. Just opened March 2010. Was very nice and breakfast included was good. Everyone was very helpful and you get free WI FI plus they have a free computer to use. The only thing we had against it was that it is alittle off the beaten path. It is far enough out that once you leave for the day you probably will not want to go back until […] evening when you turn in. They do have van service in the morning and evening. Otherwise you have to ride a bus to get there from the metro or walk approximately 1-2 miles. Read more
"THE BEST CHOICE IN ROME ."
Everything was perfect about this hotel. Very clean, and excellent price. It is a new construction (which is rare in Rome) tastefully modern decor. It really exceeded our expectations, they have free wi-fi connection, free parking, although we only had a rental car for one day they have a free shuttle service to a metro station for a 15 min. ride to […] any main destination in Rome for $1 Euro. Very convenient to the Vatican and 30 min. ride to the airport. It is better than a lot of 4 star hotels. Staff was awesome and multilingual. Always ready to help . Read more

"Park Hotel Ginevre - Highly Recommend"
I stayed at this hotel in west Rome for 7 days in March 2012 and absolutely loved it. Its only 2 years old, great design inside and out, great breakfasts (and free espresso/cappacinno's if you ask). Only a 15 minute walk from the closest metro station which isn't too bad. Once on the Metro, you can be in the heart of Rome within 10-15 minutes... The […] only complaint I have is the walls are very thin and there is no sound reduction between each room, so it is quite loud in the morning hours when some of the tour groups are awakening and having breakfast and stirring around. But, the price is fantastic, and its well worth going for if you are traveling to Rome. Also, the staff does speak some english - especially the desk managers, so that was not an issue at all becuase i have very limited Italian. Absolutely loved my stay here and highly recommend. Hotel is very nice and comfortable. Rooms are new and in good condition. What I was disappointed about was the breakfast as we had just one type of cheese and one type of meat. Apart from that, if you like sweets there were many options to choose from (cakes, donuts, croissants), milk, yogurt, gem, fruit juice, etc. The neighborhood is OK, being a residential […] area. The hotel is a 15 min walk from the metro (and you could add a few more minutes if you want to avoid walking on the Via Sorisa, which looks more like a warehouse area). Fortunately, there is a free shuttle available to the metro, departing 3 times in the morning and 3 times at night. Once you get to the metro, there is easy access to the city sites as the trains are very frequent and you travel 10-15 minutes to the city center. Be aware that in the vicinity of the hotel there is are no food shops or restaurants. Read more

"Hotel park ginvera in Rome"
The hotel was good . The staff was very helpful, but because of the language issue while check-in, standard room was given to us instead of Superior. Luxurious stay at a clean, attractive hotel. Catch a bus to Battistini if the metro closes at 9 p.m. and be sure to make use of the reliable shuttle to the hotel, which stops right by the metro exit by the road crossing.
"Far away from everything"
Unfortunately this good hotel is so far away from communications and attractions inside Rome that I can not recommend it. Its very hard to find, in an ordinary living area. 10 minutes walk to bus, 20 min walking from subway. Mayby 40 minutes from city center. Not walkable. "Fantastic Hotel - Poor Location"
The staff were amazing and very accomodating, the room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and they even have a solarium with an open roof that you can bring a fresh coffee out to and laze on a comfortable couch after breakfast. The hotel was fine and the staff was the same. It's a little bit far from the subway station and you'll have to walk 10 minutes . The breakfast was enough and very good. Excellent hotel - comfortable rooms, underground car parking available, very good breakfast included and free van transfers to the nearest railway station which is about a 15 minute walk away.
Read more

"Hotel Ginerva Rome, binnen 20 min in centrum"

4 főre foglaltunk szobát (2 felnőtt, 2 gyerek), de 3 ágyas szobát kaptunk, a 10 éves gyerekem is velünk aludt a franciaágyon. Ezt a foglaláskor miért nem jelezték? A "triple room superior" jelzésből kellett volna látnom? A svédasztalos reggeli választéka más szállodákhoz képest szegényes volt. A szálloda személyzete udvarias és segítőkész volt.
"Park Hotel Ginevra - flot hotel, dårlig service"
Read more

"Park Hotel Ginevra - very far from the Rome centre"
The hotel is loceted very far from the centre (about 30 minutes by taxi) Despite the relatively new facilities and good condition I would not recommed this hotel for people who wants to visit historic sights and eat out in city centre. The service did not work either and the staff did not want to help out in our questions.
