The Jacaranda is an oasis in Nairobi! The polite and helpful service, the friendly staff, the clean and prepared rooms, the buffet breakfast, the top notch spa and gym..we only have great things to say about it. Oh, and the cost is so very reasonable as well! We will only stay HERE our next visit!
Location.
Situated in the heart of Nairobi, Hotel Ambassadeur is close to National Archives, City Square, and Kenyatta International Conference Centre. Also nearby are City Hall and Times Tower.
Hotel Features.
This Nairobi hotel offers a restaurant and a bar/lounge. A complimentary breakfast is available. Business amenities include a business center and small meeting rooms. The staff can arrange tour/ticket assistance, business services, and currency exchange. Additional amenities include laundry facilities, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. For a surcharge, guests receive transportation including a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request), an area shuttle, and a shopping center shuttle. Guest parking is complimentary, and available on a limited first-come, first-served basis.

"Hotel Ambassadeur — bring good earplugs"
Two issues: noise and the elevator. First, the hotel adjacent to a busy bus terminal, which was noisy virtually the whole night. The one person in our party of nine who slept well routinely sleeps with earplugs. Second, the elevator got stuck between floors and we had to be rescued. To be fair, we had been warned at the front desk not to ride with more […] than four. However, the plaque inside the elevator gave a weight limit that should have accommodated eight of us. "Hotel Ambassadeur, Nairobi - be careful"
My experience with this hotel wasn't that great. Especially, they didn't find my pre-payment I did over Hotels.com and didn't seem to make much effort to clarify the issue. Also, the street noise and traffic pollution penetrated the rooms easily. some windows/balcony doors could not be properly closed.
