Wonderful hotel ! It is set up so that you feel like you are in the middle of a jungle -- look out your window and see palm trees. Because of the lush vegetation you really can't see the other units and it feels very private. The trail from our room to the restaurant/beach was lovely. .this was a family vacation, all adults,.. we arrived in november and booked two rooms.the reception desk was outside surrounded by palm trees and sand. we followed wooden planks placed in the sand to our units. three of us on the second floor and the rest one floor up. each unit was in a different area. each had one big room with 2 comfy chairs and […] a big bed, and a jacouzy, one outside shower and one inside. . the out side patios either had a net swing or 2 wooden lounge chairs and again sourrounded by trees. one had to relax for there were no t.v s or radios. the walk to the beach on the wooden planks was surrounded by trees, plants and flowers.we had each breakfast outside on wooden tables and no matter where we sat the ocean and sky was our view. the covered beds and chairs were comfy and clean, changed daily. towels were provided and flags placed in the sand had the wait staff at our service for drinks or food. This is the perfect place for total relaxation. The meals at the restaurant were better than the meals outside the hotel....only recommendation. Is to bring earplugs. The Mexican roosters start calling at 4 AM.

This was our second time at Betulum and we were just as impressed as the first. We went there for our honeymoon and we stayed in one of the suites with a plunge pool. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. I love how they each have an outdoor shower. The rooms are cleaned twice a day as well, so they turn down at night and you can tell they are kept up […] well and super clean. We were closer to the beach this time and could hear the ocean waves from our room, even with the doors closed. It doesn't even matter that they are not ocean front because the beach is just a few steps away. And the walk to the beach is so cool because of all the lush greenery, you really do feel like you are in a tropical paradise. The beach area itself is breathtaking. The water is so clear and they sweep the seaweed each morning. The beds are a true treat and are super comfy. The staff is also wonderful, they are very attentive but do not hover. They now have these flags they leave by the beds for you to raise if you need something - and it worked well. The breakfast each morning was my favorite! I also loved the quesadillas, I even asked what cheese they used inside and they wrote it out on paper for me. Something so simple tasted so good! They also had fabulous fish dishes and spicy margaritas!! They changed their menu since last time and now they bring you fresh homemade breads before each meal, the croissants in the morning were so good. Do yourself a favor and go to Betulum!!!! Read more

Before heading to Be Tulum I did a lot of research online. Fortunately we are very happy with our decision. The staff are very nice and helpful. We felt safe the entire time during our stay. My wife and I had had mixed experiences with Mexican resorts, but when we booked a trip to Tulum for a friends wedding, we went with an open mind. The beaches in Tulum are amazing, the water is clean and clear. The Be Tulum hotel is an eco-friendly hotel with a very friendly staff. The biggest surprise was the quality of the food and the restaurant […] overall. Everyting we tried was freshly prepared and delicious. The only downside to the hotel is that there is almost no lighting in the rooms. If you need to see anything, do it before the sun goes down. Also, make sure you point out to the hotel staff that you prepaid your reservation. We got double charged and had to work it out with the staff after our stay. Read more
