Not the cheapest hotel but there is limited choice on Alderney and to be honest it was still pretty good VFM. Location overlooking Braye Beach and the harbour a stone's throw away is superb - outdoor seating for the bar and restaurant made for very pleasant dining. The room was tasteful and it was hot but there was no evidence of aircon in the room. […] I had to open the window and the road its on is a cul-de-sac that cars turn round in, so a bit noisy. I also paid for a seaview but didn't get one. One other thing, I was handed a bill even though I'd paid through the website - they didn't argue the toss but its slightly irksome when that happens. I've had that happen before and ended up paying twice and fighting to be refunded on return. That aside though, friendly staff, lovely beachside location and if you're having a well earned break on Alderney without penny pinching, highly recommended. Read more
