I stayed for 4 days before taking the train to Milan. I was put into an apartment to start- which was nice but seemed a bit over the top for a single traveller. I felt strange like I had invaded someone's house. The air-con was smelly but otherwise it was OK. Later in the week they moved me into the hotel which has a modern design. The hotel is a bit […] hidden- and once you are inside the compound finding your way to the hotel is tricky. There could be better signage to instructions guests on how to find the hotel reception. This was not the best hotel I have ever stayed in but it was also not the worst. It is not a hotel, it is a "Guest House", the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are also modern, clean and comfortable. But this is NOT A HOTEL!. There are several hotel rooms in an office building. The elevator is very small and antique. The breakfast were good. Very Italian.

Not the easiest place to find the first time because there isnt a sign stating "Rezidenza Borghese", but once at the address and youve figured out to ring the bell [wait for the door to open very slowly] and rung the bell on the second [inside] door to get it open and walked/taken the lift up to the second floor reception area - the staff and the guest […] house itself is great. Room is small but manageable and clean with modern decor. Reception staff were wonderful - with suggestions on things to see, places to eat - and happy to make reservations for you. My bag didnt arrive for a couple of days (thanks to the wonderful efficiency of Europes "best" Airline - not) and the staff were able to point me at a great store for emergency clothes at very reasonable prices. The area itself although residential has several great restaurants and Via Vaneto just a couple of blocks away provides easy access to restaurants, shops and the amazing sights of Rome. Read more

Overall experience was ok.I must admit the staff was extremely helpful and eager to help even in matters not concerning the hotel! I recently stayed at Residneza Borghese. After reading the previous reviews, I anticipated it being a little confusing to find. The address was well maked, as was the #19 button to ring for service. Once I entered the security doors, I wasnt sure about where to go next. Let me tell you how, and you might want to make a note. Walk past the first evelator […] to the second. Go to 2nfd floor. RB is marked with a sign. Enter that door to the receptionist. Leslie was extremely friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. If fact, they all did which made it very easy for us. After getting my room key and all of our belongings upstairs, I wanted to check my email. There is very little WiFi reception in the rooms, so you must go to the lobby to use it. It was a little inconvenient at times, but not a big deal. The only issue is that each time I would go in and out of my room and thru the security door, which could be very noisy to close and open, I disturbed the people sleeping in room #107 because they are right across from that door. Unfortunatley because we arrived late, around 11pm, I unknowinly woke the people in #107. The man actually came out and yelled at me for being so noisy. I obviously was trying to be as quiet as I could, but did not realize how noisy it was to them. Because the receptionist has to "buzz" you in each time, they heard several buzzes which woke them. They were understandably annoyed which I would later find out why. I apolgized, but then was afraid to make any noise. The next morning we realized how thin the walls are in theis hotel/residence. You could literally hear every noise that people we making, not so much conversations, but walking down the hall, the stairs, and opening and closing doors. The rooms were extrememly clean and had a very new modern look. The large windows open to a balcony, but have no access. It was just nice to have fresh air in the mornings. They catered to our needs, answered our questions and even helped us arrange a 4 day tour with Appian Tours. We found the place to be very clean, modern, good area (via Vennetto). The residence borghese is a whole in the wall with nothing to offer a business traveler. We were told there was wireless but it didn't work and the didnt have enough cables to give out for all patrons to plug into the internet. I was told by my reservationist that parking was included but that was not true. I asked for two beds and when we got there […] the two beds where basically two single beds that when are made up with one sheet are considered a double and if bedded seperatly a single hence the two beds, with three iinches between them. The Residenza Borghese Hotel has a wonderful location very close to the Via Vittorio and a short walk to the Galleria Borghese. The Galleria Borghese usually requires reservations for specific times of the day. The Hotel is surrounded by many restaurants. The staff is exceedingly helpful and pleasant with all requests.

Although families were staying at the hotel, I would probably suggest it's better suited to couples. Every day the linen and towels were changed; the reception staff were amazingly friendly and helpful; the bed was comfortable and room well proportioned. An excellent stay - would definitely use this hotel again.

Good location, very close to Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese. Our second visit to Rome so was happy where it was situated. However, no building name is visible on the street so was easily missed until we realised there was a buzzer at the entrance. Two floors up or a suspicious-looking lift. However, the reception area can get quite noisey especially for rooms 101, 102 and 103 when you're trying to sleep. (Italians stay up late!) We had a "courtyard view", this we were disappointed with as it just overlooked other neighbours back yards (this is a shared building) and could see into other people windows, therefore lacked privacy. Breakfast was no more than a couple of packet cakes with a croissant (which we could've purchased from a Spar around the corner) and a couple of yoguarts - which lacked spoons! It is brought to your room at your convenient time but had to inform reception each day. Did not realise this so went out for breakfast one morning which was much better! Tea, coffee. sugar was not replenished and had to purchase milk and keep in mini bar. Although we were out most of the day, no English television channels were available, not even news, and most of the channels had poor reception or not available. Lastly the room had air conditioning but not good enough to cool down room, noisey and awkward to use. Cleaned daily and given fresh towels, well presented. Read more

Room was great size for a family of four very spacious and very clean, fresh towels every day. Loved that this place was hidden away in a quiet, clean neighbourhood. We found the best cafe and pizza shop that not many tourists are privy to unless you're in the neighbourhood (on the same street as the hotel). The room was way too small for 3 guests. They squeezed us into a standard room with an extra bed but there was insufficient space for 3 persons, it was very uncomfortable. We paid extra for the additional 2 guests. Det bästa med hotellet var placering i Rom. Fint område nära Borgheseparken. Själva rummet var litet o inte så imponerande. Frukosten visade sig vara så obetydlig att vi helt hoppade över den. La manutenzione della camera lasciava molto a desiderare: mancava uno stipite della porta del bagno, il bidet era intasato e dalla base dello stesso fuoriusciva dell'acqua quando usavamo la doccia. Nella doccia la manopola del rubinetto era rotto ed era stata sostituita con una vite arrugginita. Il muro scrostato nella parte sopra il lavandino. Les photos des chambres ne ressemblent en rien à la chambre qu'on nous a attribué. Celle-ci aurait besoin d'un bon ravalement (peinture salle, morceaux de murs manquants, poignées à moitié arrachées) c'est dommage car le personnel est vraiment aimable et serviable.
