One of the elevators was broken while I was there so I had to carry my suitcase up to the 4th floor and then down. The stairs barely fit one person, let alone a person with a suitcase. Being out of the city center this hotel is a pretty good value: not too expensive, full bath (no shower, though, only hand-held shower-head not mounted to wall), decent-size room for Europe. Walls are thin, so hope for no neighbors or quiet neighbors. Located just a couple blocks from a metro station, it is easy to arrive at the hotel from pretty much […] anywhere in Paris; getting to the city center from hotel requires a five minute walk to the station then about 20 minutes on the train. Alternatively, you can walk. The surrounding neighborhoods are safe, if otherwise unnoteworthy (is that a word?); there are some worthwhile restaurants and bakeries, as well as a couple good grocery stores in the vicinity. Walking to Triumph Arch then the Eiffel Tower is a pleasant stroll, easily done in an afternoon. If you want to take the day, walking to city center attractions such as the Louvre, Notre Dame, etcetera, is pleasant and comfortably doable (how 'bout that one—is that a word?) without rushing yourself. The hotel had one of the better wireless connections of the similarly priced hotels we stayed at in 11 other European countries, so kudos there. A lot of folks will not like the narrow, steep stairs, but you will remember them (unless you've spent much time in Holland, then they're unremarkable); there is, however, an elevator, which is remarkable for how tiny it is: capacity of maybe 6 Smurfs. Breakfast is available for a surcharge. Staff is really hit-and-miss with regard to the attention you'll receive and how cordially you'll be treated. We arrived early, with no intention of checking in yet, only of leaving our bags, and the guy behind the desk actually rolled his eyes at us (nothing worse than having to do your job). My room sat over the courtyard which was pleasant but I was across from the lift which was old and mares lots of noise when one got in and out. My bed was near some water pipes in the wall and I could hear anytime an adjoining room used the toilet or showered. There was also an annoying dripping sound that I could hear all night. Getting to the hotel was easy enough but I had to take too many lines to get anywhere I wanted to visit. I seemed to have spent more time on the metro or RER then anything else. Took just about an hour or so to get to CDG airport, I had to change from the #3 to #2 to #4 then to the RER train to CDG. Should have picked a hotel more central. Breakfast was a joke and since they charge for it, it is even more ridiculous! At the time i was there,they charged €7.5 for a croissant, half a baguette, jam, butter, terrible watered down orange juice, coffee and or tea. One would be better off finding a place while out and about to grab a croissant for €2 and a bottle of real OJ for €1.45. The stay at the hotel in Paris was very good. 15'-20' by subway to any interest point. We had cheap parking rate $4/day with the stamp from the hotel. Great coffee shop just at the corner of the street. The staff was very helpfull, with recomanding restaurants, giving maps and directions. This is a great stay for very good price.

Nothing fancy. It was near a metro stop, had free wifi in the room and the staff was pleasant. It's on the metro line that makes taking the bus to and from CDG airport very easy. A good choice if you are looking for an affordable option.

The hotel was in a very quiet and clean residential neighborood and was less than 200m to the Metro station, which meant you were not more than 20 minutes from anything you needed to do, or any place you needed to be in Paris. We chose this hotel only because it was located in the neighborhood we had lived in, and the rate was low. It's an aging hotel which hasn't been updated. The room was small, the bed had a pillow roll - uncomfortable! - the bathroom was tiny, and there were old water stains on the ceiling. We could hear noise from other rooms.

Went to this hotel over easter break. This was a value for money accommodation, so was not expecting a lot. In terms of location, was near metro, and had few restaurants in vicinity so was ok. Although all Paris attractions required a journey, making it harder to stay back late outside unless spend on taxi is ok.

Only downside was being charged for breakfast at the end. Thought it was included, so being stung with 15 euro/ day for a very average breakfast hurt a little. I must take some responsibility for this though, not sure how I came up with assumption, but certainly wasn't told it wasn't ncluded during our check in unfortunately.

For the price, this hotel met all needs. One block from the Metro with easy access to Paris central, set in a nice area of the city. Staff were friendly. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that. Lift was the smallest I have ever been in - one person and one case was all that fit.

The Abc is slightly out of the way but it is in an upmarket area so the streets are somewhat cleaner than many other parts of Paris with two star hotels. Staff were perfectly friendly. This is a perfectly fine place, though oddly the single rooms are a little better than the double as they have a shower with a shower curtain instead of a bath. I had requested two single beds, and the booking clearly states that, but upon arrival the room they provided had just one double bed. In deference to my daughter, I had to sleep on the floor one night, squeezed between the bed and the room's window. Hotel management provided a cot the second night and got us into a room with two single beds the third […] and final night. Still, I couldn't help feel that we were bumped in favour of someone more worthy of the room with with two single beds. The question of if this is in the centre of Paris is depatable. It is on a metro line and so therefor one can get into town. During the weekend most of the food outlets shut down so finding somewhere to eat in the evening is not easy. If you need a restaurant go out of the hotel turn right and then left and then right again to Le Pirate @ 27 rue Chaptal. […] Excellent food and wine at really good prices. Otherwise it is back into town. We were only given one large towel one glass and one pillow but these were doubled on request. Mind you the last night we had 5 small towels and no large ones. As this was one of the 'budget hotels' on the list I feel we got great value for money! The area was great for us as it was still fairly close to the centre but we weren't in a very noisy/busy place. The hotel is also very close to the metro and it was very quick and easy to get into the centre and see the attractions. We were staying 3 nights and assumed we might see the maid once but actually our room was tidied every day, towels replaced, bed freshly made etc. which was nice. The rooms are of an older decor but are tidy and well kept. I would reccomend this to anyone who likes good value for money and would prefer a friendly/relaxed environment to a formal 4-5* hotel. The Abc Champerret hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Although it is situated a little further out from the centre it only takes about 20 minutes on the metro to get to the main attractions. The hotel is a short walk from the metro with plenty of bakeries and supermarkets for breakfast.
