Casa on Gregory - Parap

The problem with the Casa is they do not have nearly enough parking available. We parked in a public parking lot. It was Friday night and the traffic from the nearby bars and resturants and the Saturday morning market made we worry about our car. Some people may not like the translucent door on the bathroom.

discracefull having to change rooms after checking in as floor was caked in hair including IN the bed! Woman at reception quite rude & if most of town exept for high end rooms wasnt booked out, I would have stayed somewhere else! All in all V disgusted.

When we arrived we had to request the room be vacuumed , then found out there was no soap available and all the crockery wasn't clean....There was just two of us so the bedroom, lounge is okay.......bathroom annd tiolet very small.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They tidied the room very well, no mean feat as we left our belongings all over the room. The room was very clean and well kitted out. It is very handy to Parap markets and the Museum. It was tastefully decorated and used the available space very well. Unfortunately room space was rather limited although external […] areas (pool area and various deck chair areas) somewhat make up for that. The main reason that we only give it a three out of five and would not recommend is that the hotel is right beside a construction site. We were there Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday morning we were woken at 6.30am by trucks reversing into the site. I would not stay in this hotel until 2013 (by which time the construction is likely to have finished). Read more

10 minutes out of town and across the road from the best curry laksa ever (maybe Sat only) this is a workers' hotel with small, clean rooms and no extra frills. Great service from Mary at the front desk and a good night's sleep but don't expect a sleep in as it gets busy early. Pool was great for a dip too :)

Noise is a problem. Smokers congregating outside rooms and talking, etc. Smoke emanates into rooms. Air conditioner rattled and could not be left on overnight. Ditto for the cealling fan.

no milk or creamer in the room and no breakfast available, no apology for that either. only used room for 5 hours and no late checkout available so pretty inconvenient overall as also not near CBD.no lifts so had to lug bags upstairs by myself at 3 in the morning, no offrer of help there either.
