Got at good reception by a nice lady at the reception desk.Very nice rrom and fancy bathroom. Difficult to get rid of your car there - unless you use the valet service. The reception is in the middle of a restaurant and you need to walk zig zag through the entire restaurant between tables to get to the elavator. Noisy street outside with people coming […] / going to the restaurant.
Stock umgezogen. Danach war alles in Ordnung. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Prime hotel South Beach"

"Design triumphs over utility"

Our room in the Prime Hotel (Miami, South Beachwood) seemed nice--fairly spacious, with clean looks--but the cool look disguised a totally dysfunctional space. The lighting in the bathroom is so dim that simple tasks like putting on make-up or shaving are impossible. A towel bar at the front of the sink adds to the problem by adding a physical barrier between the mirror and the person trying to see his/her image. The "closet" would be too small even if it were not filled with an iron and ironing board, but it is totally useless unless you take those things out--not that there is anywhere else to put them. The illy espresso machine (which seemed like an inviting feature) is placed on a shelf which makes all the operative parts (water tank, capsule compartment) inaccessible. Once we maneuvered it into a slightly better position we still couldn't get it to work. For all we know it is just a stage prop! In this room, form definitely won out over function. And . . . Noise from the restaurant downstairs makes sleep unlikely!

I ate at the bar and was served by Bianca. Stop in and see her. The wine presentation and selection is amazing... They have what your looking for. If you want beef this is the place. Great location and service. I did not stay in the hotel. The staff tell me it's very nice.

Me and my friends arrived in this hotel asking for a room for 3 people, the lady at the reception gave us a double bedroom saying we dont have to worry about, because they will provide to put an additional bed while we where out at dinner. So we paid and we came out for dinner and have some drinks. When we came back in the room weren't any addional bed and at the recaptiod there was another guy who said they don't have any bed to put in the room and the lady was wrong. They gave us a room In another their own hotel, a bad hotel. We paid for one hotel and they gave us a worse hotel and we had to move with luggages during the night. They dont even gave us excuses, discount or anything, we also paid an extra for breackfast. Was unbeliveble. A very bad experience

The Prime hotel is a small quaint hotel at the South end of Ocean drive (South Point) . It has a restaurant on the first floor but is only used as an overflow for Prime 112 the sister restaurant next door, so No open bar during the day or on slow nights. There are just a few rooms located on the 2nd and 3rd Floor . Very nice roof top pool (Shallow 31" Deep not for swimming ) but the accommodations are nice, I spent one whole afternoon up there just relaxing . The receptionist (All of them) were all very nice and went out of there way to be of service , really that was probably the best part of the stay. The rooms are nice , clean , white sheers with black out drapes for sleeping in. The rooms are almost as nice as the photos I found on line but lacking the nice bright colored area rugs. Still the rooms felt nice , the bath rooms modern and super clean and I am very picky . All in all it was a pleasant stay , there's just a few things you might consider. There are new high rises being built on the north and south immediately adjacent to the Prime and they will be under construction for sometime to come. The construction noise is not horrible but the door slamming inside the hallways to the other rooms was very loud !! I didn't sleep well the 3 nights we stayed ,it goes on all night till 3 & 4 in the morning . There designed to slam shut and that they do. If you turn in early and are a light sleeper like I am it's a problem . The beds were nice a little soft but had no fitted sheets. Valet parking is $35 a day and it's hard to find your own 24 hour parking at that end of South Beach. Dining out is Super EXPENSIVE ! a Steak ,baked potato and cocktail can set you back $100 per person at the Prime Restaurant but nothing is reasonable on Ocean drive. All and all it was priced more reasonable than other 4 Stars , it's small and quaint , nice part of South Beach . My main reason for not returning would be the loud slamming doors , something they should figure out ! Sincerely , Mike and Kayla

I stayed at the prime hotel may 16-20, 2014. The lcoation was great,. The Prime has 3 resturants . I ate at the Prime Sea food. The waiter Stanely was awsom if they can multiply him service would be great at all resturants. I also would like to say the housekeeper name Kay was so kind, helpful, and plesant. I work for a large chain hotel and if she ever wanted to relocate to my state i would surely recommend her. so the Prime Hotel need to know that they have a diamond in the ruff.:) . I would also like to add I left a pair of Diamond earrings in the pillow case and didnt realize until i got home on the 21st. I contact the hotel and spoke with chlear from the front desk . I was scare that they wouldnt find them she advised me that she would contact me back by 5pm . i recieved a call from her about 4;30 that she has them. i gave her my job address to ship them to. this morning may 22,2014 I recieved my earring by fedex about 9:45am . Im so so happy thanks you. Prime stafff for a wonderful experience and happy a happy ending..room 10. Mr. W. Blackwell,& Tayshia, Thornton Warm Regards, Tayshia Thornton

A nice place to stay for a night or two or if you are dining downstairs but a little chaotic to be honest. Our room also unfortunately overlooked a full-on construction site which was fine for us as we were only staying one night but I imagine it could get noisy. The receptionist was great and the room was cute and keenly priced. It is a shame that there was nowhere to get a coffee in the morning but at least there is a Starbucks opposite. It was also a bit odd coming down in the morning to a deserted and pretty much uncleaned restaurant.

Stayed at the Prime Hotel while in town for a conference. There is really no lobby, but a desk area in the restaurant of the hotel. The elevator to access hotel rooms is located in the kitchen/bar area....weird, especially since this place is very crowded for dinner. The room was ok, could have been cleaner...........candy on the floor, spots on the comforter. Also, it doesn't help that my view is of a construction site. It was weird to look out and make eye contact with workers. I wish I'd stayed across the street at the Hilton Bentley Hotel.
"Good for a few days"

Stayed at the Prime Hotel from February 05 through 07 while waiting to board for the Cayamo music festival cruise. We had room 8 on the 3rd floor (upgraded when there was a problem with room 4 on the 2nd floor). The hotel is strategically located at the South end of the stretch of (loud) bars and restaurants on Ocean Drive, and although there is currently construction on two sides of the property it is actually quite quiet at night. Manager Shannon and night desk manager Luis were very kind, and attentive to our concerns (our wet bar had not been restocked properly, and there was old food from the previous guests left in the fridge). The room was clean, well appointed, and bright. The bed was very comfortable, and spacious. We did have an issue the second day when housekeeping did not replenish the bathroom toiletries, but the evening manager promptly rectified that when we mentioned it. The restaurant below (actually next door) was expensive, as are most of the restaurants in the area. My only complaint is that the area restaurants are mainly pedestrian (with a few exceptions), and very expensive. Most restaurants also seem to simply raise their prices for "Happy Hour" and then offer "20% off" (a "Happy Hour" appetizer of six coconut-battered shrimp should not cost $20.00...). Area restaurants will also routinely add 18-20% gratuity to the cost of the meal, and then give you the bill with a section for adding a "tip", hoping that you don't notice that you already paid it (i.e. you would be tipping on top of the tip that you already got charged for). It's wrong, it's almost fraudulent, and it is common practice in that area. The Prime was decent value for what we paid ($200 per night on Expedia). Many of the area hotels are more expensive, more noisy, and somewhat run-down. You may encounter some minor problems at the Prime (mainly housekeeping issues) but the management promptly addresses them. Good place to stay if you are there for a few days.
"great place to stay"

Its modern, new and clean its prime hotel. Prime hotel is owned by a man who also owns 3 different restaurant. Very famous prime 112,prime Italy and big pink. Its more b&b or restaurant then real hotel since there is only 14rooms. Because there is only 14rooms its perfect. its quiet and peaceful except for new construction going on. Perfect location across from the street is the beach. some noise from new constriction only downside. 4th floor rooftop is beautiful place to say. There is a small lap pool to swim in and afterword there is outdoor shower to rinse off. There is no real parking only vip so each night will cost you extra 35.00. The rooms are very clean and well kept. hallway do need a cleaning somewhat dirty. the staff was warm and welcoming. front desk is easy to find. I came in somewhat early and there was no crowds at all even at night was dead maybe because its not the weekend. sounding area is safe. many places to eat and party just walk 4blocks north after 5th street. I had a good deal from jetsetter so I cant complain the price. Overall excellent place to stay for any travers.
"Great beach place to hide away for a couple days"

I really like this hotel, especially the rooms with wraparound balconies and the rooftop pool on the 4th floor. Very Euro feel of entering thru the restaurant to catch elevator up to the room. Loved the spaciousness of the room plus the nifty bath and shower with rainfall shower head and numerous other wall mounted shower streams. I wish I could have enjoyed two other aspects of the room, namely the Onkyo iPod docking station and the espresso maker, but these tech devices were beyond my skill set. The comment others have made about this not really feeling like a hotel are accurate, as there was only one lady on duty at the reception desk (yes it's inside the restaurant but I found that to be pretty cool) and she admitted to having no idea how to run these gadgets. She was just so nice, how can you get angry? :) Overall, great place to stay. Not beachside but just across the street. Just felt more like a vacation apartment rental than a hotel. If they'd just add instructions for the appliances then it would indeed be a prime hotel choice in SOBE.
