Enjoyed three nights here and found the hotel in excellent upkeep. Clean and comfortable. Great service. Morning breakfast everyday and light supper on weeknights. Nice pool. Nearby shopping and restaurants. Only complaint would be that they not allow children to use the hot-tub as a kiddie pool.

Enjoyed, would return for another stay. Breakfast food good, one minor thought, would have enjoyed NC bacon, sausage, ham over Canadian Bacon. Will probably return sometime during late summer.

The Mayfair area has everything to offer that anyone could possibly want, and the hotel was very nice. My only regret was choosing to book with the "no refund" option, in order to save $. It turns out we only needed one night, but were stuck paying for two, which was more than the price with refundability for one night.

Only spend on night but I enjoyed the stay very much. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything you could want in it. The homewoods suites was definitely homely. Not to mention the location, the mayfair area has everything you want all centrally located.

Hotel is great! Lots of space, extremely clean (appears very new), refrigerator and microwave a huge plus. We felt like we had our own little apartment. Location is perfect as it is right next to Mayfaire, an awesome place with lots of restaurants, great shopping, movie theater, etc.

We went to Wilmington to look at UNCW and all the people, & places were great. The people we very helpful and very friendly. The places we went to see were nice and our room was gorgeous. The bed was the most comfy bed I've ever slept on when we have gone away.

I liked the hotel. The staff were nice, the breakfast was great, etc. Our room was a little lack luster but next time we'll try and get a larger room. With two toddlers, we got the suite with the separate living area. It would have been nice to have two separate sleeping areas. Besides a few places in the kitchen area that were not cleaned so well and a dishwasher full of dishes that had not been put up, the room was nice. Our problem was with the staff we dealt with when we checked in. First, we were sent to an incorrect room. We had reserved a one bedroom suite and were sent to a studio suite on the 1st floor next to the […] vending machines. When we went back to the front desk they first said they did not have any one room suites available (even though I had prepaid for the room). They tried to offer a discount and made up stories about why the room was not available. When we explained that they would either need to move us to a different hotel or give us an upgraded room, they changed their story. All of a sudden, there was a one bedroom suite available. Needless to say, I was not happy about being lied to. I was also not happy about the attitude of the staff in regards to this issue. The hotel was exactly as advertised. Overall, a great deal, for me and my 3 year old son. He loved the pool, we cooked out by the pool for diner, and had a nice breakfast in the morning. It was an easy drive to the main beach at Wrightsville, and by being off the direct beach about 33% of the going rate for labor day weekend, comparatively. My ONLY complaint was that I heard guests above me and to the side of me in the morning, much louder than I should have, and since everything else was perfect this was a surprising "defect" to the hotel.
