This little hotel has location, location, location! It is less than 5-10 minutes walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, & Tempolo Adriano. It is about 15-20 minutes from the Coliseum, the Forum, and Vittoria Emmanuelle, around 25-30 minutes from Piazza del Popolo, and a half hour from the Vatican. Seconds away from the main artery Via Del Corso, you can’t get a better location for a more reasonable price. The front desk staff is wonderful and Tomosso in particular will not hesitate to recommend the best restaurants and tell you how to get to all the sites within Rome. He recommended fabulous restaurants and mapped out a walkable itinerary of sites daily for us. If you don’t care to walk, the hop on hop off bus is two minutes away. What really sets this hotel apart is the 5th floor outside deck with a panoramic view which is used for breakfast in the morning and a possible night cap at night. What a way to start and end a day. It was beyond gorgeous and really a delightful highlight to a memorable stay in Rome. The rooms are big enough to accommodate two easily and are clean and neat. The only difficulty I encountered was that I was unable to connect to Wi-Fi but instead used the downstairs computer. Some of the rooms on the upper floors are only accessible by a short stairway which is difficult with heavy luggage. Other than that, our stay was perfect and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

We did not get information that payment by card was not accepted. The breakfast was poor, bread from yesterday, cerials too sweet. The juice was more like lemonade than fruit-juice.

Had a great experience. Our triple room was clean and bed very comfortable, including pillows. 40 inch hd tv with all the sky channels with the options to switch to English language. Filled a form with time and choices for breakfast . Arrived on time and plenty of food. ( Italian style breakfast) . Front desk nice and helpful. Near American embassy, hard rock cafe' , villa borghese park( very nice!) . Would stay there again and reccomand it to friends and family

Room was so small that we could barely walk around the bed and there were no drawers in which to put clothes. The buffet breakfast, however, was outstanding and the location very convenient. Front desk staff could be friendlier. The room was much smaller than the photo for that level of accommodation

"not convenient, but nice hotel"
if you can manage the Roman bus system, the hotel is a great value. The hotel is modern and clean. definitely 4 stars. Unfortunately, it is located far from the San Giovanni metro (15 min walk). The bus will get you to the hotel from downtown or the metro, but it requires some planning and time. Food - behind the hotel is a nice street for getting […] a nice Italian meal. all locals in that area. The hotel breakfast is wonderful - definitely worth the cost! Beds - a double bed here is two single beds pushed together. This is common in older European hotels, but was surprising here since the rest of the place is more "American" with large bathrooms, jet tubs, and a gym. WIFI: Also the wireless does not work in the rooms - only in the lobby. So this is not a good location if you are a business traveler. My only real problem with this hotel was that the desk clerks are really pushy about booking the over-priced "driver" service to the airport. We did not want to use it, but they insisted it was the "only" way to get to the airport and that a taxi would be the same cost. The driver was 60Euro a taxi is around 40Euro. The train and bus is around 14 Euro for the train plus 1 Euro for the bus. The hotel clerk booked us a driver and when we said we did not want it and wanted a taxi, he refused to cancel the driver reservation. It was an unpleasant ending to an otherwise great stay. "It was a nice hotel and it was cheap..."
The bad thing about this hotel is it was to far away from the metro stops and the city center. There was a tram stop near by as well as buses however riding either is as slow as walking due to the traffic. The hotel itself was nice, the room good, the price excellent for what you get (a jacuzzi bathtub) but just to far out from the city center.

"Great Hotel, but far from sites"
Great Hotel, excellent helping staff and clean. But neighborhood around was suspect, but people were friendly enough. Not close to any sites at all though. If you want a western style hotel with comfort this is it, however, its far. Also, be aware that Europe is strict about people allowed in a room. Ciao!

Hotel is very new, modern and good price. Clean and the service is very good. The only negative is that is not walking distance from the main attaction but the bus station and the train station is right outside the hotel. The bus services are very good. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is first class but not in the best area. There is a convient bus stop right across the street and this is good because it is not close to the major tourist attractions. Breakfast buffet is good but pricey. Lobby staff was great answering questions about how to get around. If you have a car than this is a good hotel as far as transportation. We walked to the metro station for about a half an hour everyday. You could wait for a bus but it is a pain getting tickets. You need to get them at any kiosk or newstand. The woman at the fron desk was nasty. The day we got there the printer (at the internet computer) had a formal […] letter stating the printer was down. $ days later when I wanted to print my boarding pass the same not was up. Traveled to Rome for sightseeing & la vita dolce. Thought the hotel looked luxurious in photos & promised to be close to important sights. Not at all satisfied with my stay. Inconvenient location for public transportation & sightseeing, seedy neighborhood with no options for dining/shopping, and the 2 meals we had at the hotel were not enjoyable in […] the least. "Nice hotel, bad location"
The hotel was clean and new, however the location is terrible. It is not close to the major sites in Rome. If you do stay here become familiar with the railway and subway routes, which are close by. The rooms do not have an iron and it costs €6 to have a shirt pressed, which is crazy.

Totally enjoyed the stay at the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and pointed us in the right direction and how to use the buses. They were amazing. The hotel was a bit far (1.5 miles) from the sites but using the buses made it an easy commute. There were numerous grocery stores and places to eat adjacent to the hotel. The service was pretty bad. The hotel was in a pretty scary area, though the hotel room was pretty nice. But most importantly, never saw a smile on anyone of the hotel's staff, very unpleasant demeanor, not to mention there is literally only one person working at the front desk. "new hotel and good - but far - shame !"
i stay there for 2 nights , the getting there at evening - that can get you down! the train station that near the hotel is dark and scary the stairs in train station - give you the back pain lovely.. ..the thing is you need to go on this small train 4 stops till it get you o termini ..and then you can start your day .. and except from that - the hotel […] is NEW for people like me that love rooms that smell new it matter . the service good , the level great , the street near is fine ..but the access - spoil the fun in it also the breakfast price - absurd! ..(if u have a car -and you want to go back pick the suite cases - you will find out that the no entry on that one way street there make your trip long! I went with friends (total 3 females ) and chose this hotel because it was outside the hustle and bustle of the city, I am so glad I did as it was very easy to travel by Bus -- Metro and taxi in and around all the city sights. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The biggest issue was that our room was extremely hot and the hotel has no fans, therefore we had to sleep with the window open and be woken up by the sun every morning. We enjoyed the suburb - even though it is not in the heart of the city the suburb is arty and a bit alternative with lots of bars and cafes to enjoy. We […] love walking and managed to still walk to all the sights each day. There is a good gym in the hotel, which we used every day. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful but very busy. Checking out was a nightmare - we had to queue for about 20 minutes just to return the key and pay our bill! Lucky our train wasn't leaving immediately. Also, the laundry bill was a shock - apparently they had to send my things out to be washed therfore the bill for 2 pants and some underwear was €36! That aside, we would definitely stay here again. Having read previous reviews i expected the best hotel in Rome in that price range. It wasn't like that. We booked a triple room and to our surprise the room was incredibly small! "Decent Hotel!"
The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast buffee was ok! All and all - this hotel is OK. The area around the hotel might seem a little rough but it's not bad at all. One negative thing I have to say about the hotel is that the staff wasn't very skilled in english but I guess it is probably the same in most of the hotels in Rome.

The hotel is not located in the city center but that was not a big problem. A 30 min walk will take you to the center and there are busses just outside the hotel if you do not want to walk. "Budgeting hotel"
The room is very clean,the problem I found was too noise outside even in the middle of the night. The location not very central but you can take bus . Overall, not a bad choice if you are on budgeting trip.

A good quality hotel, although a little far from the sights. We were aware of this prior to booking, so knew we had to use public transport to get around. "Eurostars Roma Aeterna - better with car"
Our determining factors for choosing this hotel were price and proximity to public transit. The hotel was beautiful and well taken care of inside, with stroller accessible ramps and elevators. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Staff took care of our family (2 adults + 2 kids under 5) by providing a roll-away bed and a pack-and-play baby bed (on arrival) […] when we paid for a 3 person room. The hotel is next to the train tracks south of Rome's Termini station, and trains and traffic can be heard faintly rolling by during most waking hours. The noise wasn't bad, and was unnoticeable at night. Despite the location next to tracks, only occasional commuter trains stopped near the hotel. The train platform was only accessible by stairs, and it didn't look like there was a place to buy train tickets on the platform. There was a bus stop across the street from the hotel that can get you to Termini (20 minutes) or Plaza Venezia (30 minutes) on a reasonably frequent schedule most hours of the day. This is the easiest way to travel with a stroller, and there are bus tickets available at near by tobacco shops or on some of the buses. The immediate neighborhood doesn't have much to do and is somewhat dirty. There is one nice Italian restaurant a couple blocks east of the hotel, but nothing much else. The nearest grocery store is over 400 meters east or west of the hotel. For our family vacation without a rental vehicle, it was a good value based on trip timing. We would probably choose something not as nice that was closer to attractions, dining, and a another bus or metro stop if rates were comparable. With a rental car, this place would be great, though I'm not sure the parking situation around the city would allow use of the car near attractions. Read more

Per la nostra breve vacanza (4 giorni) a Roma ci siamo trovati bene all'Hotel : camera molto curata, nuova e arredamento moderno. Il bagno in travertino è molto elegante, spazioso, e accogliente soprattutto per la vasca idromassaggio che abbiamo utilizzato con tanto piacere al ritorno dalle lunghe scarpinate per Roma. Unico neo della nostra stanza la […] posizione: affacciata alla ferrovia dei tram, per cui di notte un po' di rumore si sentiva; però si può ovviare a questo inconveniente chiedendo una stanza che si affacci sul cortile(ci è stato consigliato alla reception). La colazione più che abbondante e varia, veramente ottima.Il servizio buono. L'hotel si trova in una zona da cui con autobus 81 o 810 si possono raggiungere tutti i punti più importanti di Roma ( la fermata dell'autobus si trova davanti all'hotel per cui molto comoda), oppure la metro "appio". Ayant passé une semaine complète à Rome, je ne regrette pas mon séjour dans cet hotel. La chambre était calme, pas de nuisances sonores venant de l'extérieur, un peu quand les personnes parlent fort dans le couloir. Le petit déjeuner buffet est varié et vraiment très bon. Le restaurant est un peu cher (compter 15€ le plat minimum), je n'ai pas pu le […] tester. La chambre dispose d'un grand lit (attention 2 lits simples bien larges), baignoire à jets de massage dans chaque chambre. L'hotel se trouve en banlieue mais est très bien desservi (tram jusqu'a termini en 15mn), bus pour le vatican en 1h, colisee en 25mn, termini en 20min, basilique san giovanni en 10mn avec accès métro A. Les arrêt de bus et tram sont au pied de l'hotel, très pratique. Idéal pour visiter Rome. Pour les restaurants, demandez au personnel ils pourront vous indiquer où aller. Demander le restaurant "il grottinio", il y a une trattoria très bonne juste à côté également. Attention ils ne parlent pas très bien français, voire pas du tout. Read more
