For the price paid this hotel is totally worth the money. Free breakfast and no resort fees! Location right on fremont. Hotel staff were very nice compared to some higher priced hotels. Front desk was friendly at check in. Valet guys were nice. Breakfast was awesome. Room was a little dated and tired but for the rate paid it was clean, quiet and safe.

Hotel accomodation were OK, been Treasure Island, was expecting better accommodations, but hotel is showing his age and use. Got surprise when we check in with a mandatory fee for resort, that seen like I miss reading about when I pay, was $29 per day, but since I book so early was charge $22 a day,I try to explain we was not interested on using pool or gym since we were there for convention, but was explain that fee was not a choice and we have to pay, so we have to pay 5 days more over the price of the room. Also I ask for handicap room and they told me our room was handicap accesable, but we have a tub and no shower.
Location.
Just a few steps east of the Las Vegas Strip, this 52-story all-suite hotel is adjacent to the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino complex. Planned a last minute trip to vegas and was hoping for Planet Hollywood but it was fully booked. A quick call to Hotels.com to see if there was any hidden PH rooms but there were none available - representative told us about Elara which is connected to PH through Mile shops and is owned by the Hilton. The rep also claimed it was "the best hotel on the […] strip"...yeah we'll see about that I thought. I booked it literally hours before my plane landed. I used their opening special where you can get updated to a Junior Suite for the price of a Studio - worth checking out. The Junior suite is THE BEST room i've ever stayed at in vegas. FULL kitchen, with dining table, DISH WASHER, silverware, plates, cups and all. The bathroom is huge and has a WASHING MACHINE inside. The living room has a projector for watching movies or just whatever is on tv. There's no DVD player but the TV has an HDMI input. Easily fit 5+ people COMFORTABLY in this small suite, though there is security by the elevators that checks if you have a room key. For the price, amenities, and location (center strip), I don't think this hotel can be beat. It was 100 times better than my friends room at the Monte Carlo that costed them twice as much. Read more

Clean rooms n hotel in general. Accesible to shops n strip. The only thing I dislike was the fact that at check in all receptionist were calling from the vip line, instead of doing one and one, they were doing like 4 vip then maybe one regular. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay.!
"Pleasant Weekend"
Elara is very convenient to the strip. There is no restaurant in the hotel. It is within the Planet Hollywood shopping mall, It has "Hollywood" decor in the room. The new City Center complex is accross the strip. The room was clean and quiet with a nice view. The front desk clerk was abrupt, almost rude but otherwise no complaints.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel...only negative about it is the A/C didnt blow cold enough. Everything else was top of the line. Will stay again
"Does the job"
The Elara hotel is a decent hotel for the frugal traveler. However, the hotel does not deserve a 4.5 star rating. The amenities are clean, yet basic and provides few luxuries. The Elara is perfect for the person who wants to save on hotel and enjoy their funds elsewhere in Vegas.
Good view, very clean, great rate, and a cool place.

I loved it, can't wait to go again. The rooms are very nice the beds are great, full size coffee maker, toaster, microwave, mini fridge, dishwasher, dishes everything you need. loved it loved it :)

"Not the PH anymore."
If you were used to going to the PH Tower, this is not your hotel anymore. Being a Hilton now, the pool is now more like a aquarium (whales in it) than a party pool. Music is dull and cannot be changed. No young people anymore. This seems now like a convention hotel. Other than the quick change in name (which is shown to have been done in 2 days as […] all signage was not custom made, and you can find stickers with the Hilton logo placed where there used to be a PH/Westgate logo), the hotel remains the same, only a bit run down, and with older people as guests. They keep asking to show the hotel key to let go to the pool or elevators (which is ridiculous as anyone can get a hold of a key card). It appears that everyone who used to stay at this hotel is now going to the Cosmopolitan, which is where i will be staying next time. Read more
"Good if u want a bare bones room to sleep in."
The rooms are small, there is no mini-bar. Room service stops at 10pm (what's the point in even having room service ??). I stayed for 2 nights and they never cleaned my room, despite me leaving from 11a to 6p and putting the "service room" light on. Check out is at TEN O'CLOCK!!! And if u ask for late check out they tell some people "yes, noon is fine" […] and tell others (even in the same group) they must pay to check out at noon. "They don't deliver what's promised/TerribleService"
Upon arrival valet was full, so the only option was the mall parking lot. They do not have signage at this point directing you from parking to the hotel, so we carried our luggage and cooler through the mall. The hotel entrance from the mall had no sign with the hotel. We found the front desk, and they did not want to honor the free upgrade being offered. […] The manager told me I was a liar, and reluctantly gave me my room, then stormed off. Parking and check-in was an exhausting 1.5 hours. Every employee was incredibly rude at every interaction for the entire stay, except the pool bartender. "Very Nice and Right in the Mall!!"
We parked for free at the PH shops self parking and entered the mall. A short walk and we walked right into the lobby from the mall. We got a great view of the pool (closses at dusk). Each room is modern and nice. Each room also comes with a sofa bed so it stretches the occupancy (bonus) :) The kitchenette offers a dishwasher, all cooking/eating utensils, […] sink (including dish soap!), and microwave. However, there is no stove. The bathroom has a door separating the toilet and the bathtub has jets. The room is slightly small (bed, desk, and just enough room to pull out sofa bed). Enjoyed our stay. The 2 bedroom suite was huge! Beds were very comfortable, however, the two couches that become queen beds, had one that was completely stained. After calling room service, they ignored our comment and just sent sheets. No one slept on that bed and chose the floor instead. Would have appreciated if room service were a little more helpful […] with this matter or even cared the slightest bit. Also, would like to mention that this is definitely a young crowd hotel and not suitable for adults. Our group was all young adults but all mentioned how we felt the hotel would be awkward for the more older crowd. Overall, good experience! Will definitely stay here the next time in Vegas! Read more

The hotel itself is amazing. And the room, easily 5 star modernism! Tek at the front desk should be given a raise....the perfect example of customer service! U fortunately, the check in line getting to him was very long. My other gripe is the checkout time. 10 am? Really???? This is Vegas, not Columbus. the decor of the hotel was a bit dated. black toilets? red carpet? seemed a bit dungeony. The pool was a bit stark compared to the other hotels.
"Fix the Showers!"
The Elara is a nice hotel, great location and I would stay there again. However, please get some water pressure and a different shower head in the bathrooms. It was like taking a shower in gentle summer rain, I couldn't hardly feel the water.

This is a gorgeous, NON-SMOKING facility where the staff treats you like royalty! Comfortable, affordable and classy! We stayed in a suite complete with living room, full kitchen, dining room and in-room spa tub. The view is spectacular due to the floor to ceiling windows, especially at night. Hotel staff was very friendly. Top to bottom of the entire place is kept spotless, and decorated very nice.
Power shade jammed. Plus the edges curled out of the tracks and let to much light in. Otherwise an excellent hotel.

This was a nice place however there were some issues. The bathroom lock did not work, microwave wouldn't turn on, and the ironing board wouldn't stay up on itself. Don't stay in room 5220 unless these issues have been resolved. Another thing that bothered me was the fact that I had to wear a wrist band to get to my room. Not cool. "Great Hotel with Dumb Policies"
My bro booked this spot for my bachelor party and we got a great 2 bedroom suite to stay in. The room was very clean and modern and even had an in room jacuzzi tub. One of the best rooms and deals I've ever had in Vegas. But this was all spoiled by Hilton's policy to have wristbands to go into the room. What is this? Some dumb 18 and up club that has […] to have wristbands for 21 and up kids to drink? I felt like I was in high school or something. It is ridiculous to expect that your guests will wear this uncomfortable wristband (that gave me a rash) all weekend. They want you to even shower with it. I don't expect such low class rules for a high class place. They told us we can take them off and just keep it in your pocket, but when my bro lost his, they gave him the hardest time ever to get a replacement one. It's not like we were trying to sneak in 20 people to sleep in that room like some poor dumb college kids (as management explained to us). This policy helped somewhat spoil our weekend. But it probably even spoiled the stay of one of the other hotel guests. I saw this girl totally trying to take a guy up to her room cause she was all over him but he didn't have a wristband so they had to make out in the lobby. Lol how classy is that? Because of that rule (on principle), I CANNOT recommend this hotel to others. I don't want to have to wear some dumb itchy wristband just to go to my room. My room key should be enough. Read more

"Lying service"
I asked for the 2 queens package and they didn't give me that and said they never had 2 beds in any room, ever! With a condescending tone. I'm a frequent visitor and never had a problem before? I don't like the new management for what they have done to perfectly fine hotel! So upset I can't even write out all my thoughts!

I love this hotel and would stay here again! It has a great location friendly staff and convience of being a tower next to PH so you dont have to deal with all the hussle and bussle of a casino hotel. The line was a bit long at check in but we got in after 9 pm. We asked for an upgrade and without hesitation were upgraded (FOR FREE) from a sudio to […] a 1 bedroom suite on the 28th FLOOR!! Room was huge and the bed was like a cloud. Jaccuzzi hot tub in bedroom and floor to ceiling mirrors and windows made for an awesome ambience and view of the strip! I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying for a night or a week. 1 Bedroom sleeps 4 people MORE than comfortably and there is a mini fridge and micro wave that is great for beverages and left overs. I was born and raised in Las Vegas and I moved a few years ago so when I come home I like to act like a tourist and stay in different places on the strip. I have stayed at all the major ones and a few off the beaten path and I was extremely dissapointed with Elara aka the old planet hollywood westgate tower. They only have 40 valet spots for a 1,200 […] room hotel so you have to park in self parking and shlep all your luggage up, there are two people working the front desk so expect a line to check in, the crowd is a little scary so expect random wasted peoeple wandering the halls, the walls are paper thin so you can hear everyone parting around you and for the price of the room the quality is extremely lacking, there is nothing about this place that deserves 4+ stars. If you want a good room and a classy crowd go to the Encore, if you want a seedy crowd and a crappy room save your money and stay at the Luxor becuase thats a similar quality to Elara. Read more

I was mostly satisfied with my stay, except the 9.30 am checkout and when I called for late checkout, I was given till 10.00. Really??? Room service knocked on the door at 8.40 and after the second knock opened the door and came in the room. Ice machines are only on 5th or 50th floors.(fail)
"Nice Place But Poor Service"
We were told that there was no valet service available for us. However when we drove through the parking garage we saw plenty of empty spots available in the valet section. We overslept the day we were supposed to check out and were told we would be charged for another a 1/2 day even though we were checking out before 4 pm the day of checkout. That […] didn't bother so much as the fact that we were charged a full day and still had to leave the room. Had I known that before I got home we would have taken full advantage of what we were charged for. The hotel is very nice and very modern. However the service is not. "21 st birthday"
Loved the location. Front desk had our name spelled wrong and check- in took longer than usual. So they updated our room to a suite. Wow it was fabulous. Will return where are at Vegas again.

"Fun Las Vegas Suite without the casino"
Although the signage (or lack thereof) made it difficult to find the hotel...once we did find it, it was great! The room was big and fun with a jacuzzi bathtub next to the bed, a full kitchen and plenty of room to entertain.

"Good hotel, poorly organised administration..."
Firstly the good, the hotel is in a great location as it is connected to the Miracle Mile where there are several places to eat and shop if your not interested in the Casinos. The rooms were good, very clean and property being newish was in good condition. They also have a nice pool. The negative side was on several occasions the administration at the […] hotel was poor, this may have been caused by the recent take over by Hilton as when we purchased our stay it was still a Planet Hollywood Casino. Several people we spoke to said that the change had caused a lot of confusion, staff were unaware of some policies, when the weekend arrived they implemented a new wristband policy to get into the room when we came back from dinner this took close to 50 minutes just to get into the room because they had not communicated this to any of their customers. "Good Value"
No one at the airport knew the Elara name but once I explained where it was and the name PH Towers or Westgate was used the driver knew where to go. It is very convenient to the airport. A cab ride is about the same price as the shuttle and a bit more convenient. As of April 2012 the hotel is being converted to Hilton standards and is in need of a bit […] of touch up. The room was Junior suite size with an electric room darkening shade and a comfortable bed. The fridge made a wierd noise but was changed out quickly when I asked. Good location with easy access to the "Miracle Mile" of stores and then the strip. We had a good experience with helpful and friendly staff. "PH Tower West Gate"
The hotel was in the middle of changing ownership. The overall service and cleanliness was very disappointing. The staff didn't celan the clean properly and very poor experience when brought to the attention of front desk and housekeeping. Definitely not getting the value for what I paid for the stay of 4 nights.

Wonderful stay at the Elara. Close to everything. the staff was so helpful and friendly. The check in was very fast and efficient. The bed was very comfortable and the view was fabulous.
